One can feel the difference from the point one approaches the main entrance of British Council. Staffs are agile but courteous. This is one of the best places to learn English language & Business Communication Skills. Kids (5+) and Adults can enroll English language classes. They also arrange summer classes for Kids which is one of the "must do" thing. Library has huge collection related to literature and other topics. It also provide sitting area for study for members. Kids section is separate and has ample and varied collection to keep them.busy with. Ambience is good. It uses state-of-the-art-technology where ever possible. Canteen is there on the ground floor which serves tasty foods. Price is on slightly higher side.

The worst decision of 2023 was for me to renew my membership of thr British Council Library, after a gap of a few years. Thought I was becoming a member of a library but to my woe found out that this is now more of the ubiquitous "coaching centres" than an actual library. More than half of the book shelves have been shelved in favour of seating for those who need "coaching". Almost all of them are rote learning the management books and books required for IELTS. The entire fabulous DVD and media section has disappeared too. What astounds me most is the concept of an educational institution like the British Council lying/misrepresenting facts. While it clearly states on the British Council website that upon becoming a member, one can access DVD's, the entire section has been removed. Such is the lack of decorum at the British Council library/coaching centre, that the so called students hog all the seats while browsing content on their smartphones and extend their legs and belongings in such a manner that I was unable to browse the books on the shelves. No manners!

So guys what do you think You will be able to speak in a month Total 8 classes and fee is 11000 They are earning money. I would like to give rating less than 0 If possible don't.

It is a good place to study quietly in the library, but the staff is really rude. The first day itself when I entered, I thought I made a mistake by taking the membership. If someone speaks nicely, we would love it! Just a kind smile is all it takes. It’s not like we’ll stop following the rules. I was not eager to write any review but today at the café, I asked them for milk tea (tea without water), which I have already had here 2-3 times before, and the man actually raised his tone and said, “We won’t change our recipe, who gave you milk tea last time?” And then she talked to her colleague and asked if she was the one, even she acted like she doesn’t know what it means. I was actually shocked by this kind of behaviour. Even if they didn’t want to do it, they could’ve talked politely. I even have had it before! I did not place my order of course. After all, who would like food from such arrogant people ?

It’s a nice building in Kasturba Gandhi marg, Connaught Place. You can go as a visitor during the day and check out their library or sit in their spacious cafe on the ground floor called the Tin whistle. The menu is not much . Simple limited items like tea, coffee, sandwiches, burger, a bit of bakery items, croissant etc. it’s spacious though. Quiet place. Neat and clean. Masala tea is for 95 Rs. It was average. High priced as compared. Library is on the 1st floor. Other inquiries can be made from the staff seated there .

Great ambience, this place is really amazing. Well maintained classrooms for English as well as IELTS coaching. Fees for such courses are moderate but don't forget ur going to learn English from the masters. So this much is ok, as far as fees is concerned. Apart from that they have a beautiful Library, library is well maintained and tidy. One can feel that he is sitting at Himalayas where every one is drowning in the magic spell of Literature. In short nice place to study. For that they charge a minimal amount per year, in which u'll get facilities to borrow as many books, DVDs, audios, e-books and many more things. Overall it's awesome.

Library is really good, if you are looking for a space to study or general reading or even WFH. My personal favourite is to get a seat by the window because of the pretty views of the trees and the city. Mind you, it can be packed at times and there are chances you might not be able to get a seat in the library but don’t worry you can get a seat in lobbies leading to classes and also there’s a open area with benches where you can have your lunch and even study or read. I would recommend you to reach the library as early as it opens, so you could get your favourite seat. Ending this by telling you that there’s a cafe present in the ground floor you can chill there as well every thing that the cafe offers is pretty good but while buying coffee from there remind them not to add sugar.

The teachers are good here. I have been taught by Parth sir here. His way of teaching is really nice. Classes are small, and everyone is involved in discussions. I am finding the classes very helpful. I have joined the IELTS courses here. Impact course, which improves my spoken English and communication skills. It has been a great experience, since I've joined British council.

British Council is UK’s Organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. It is the official headquarters of British High Commission. I was completely overwhelmed and amazed by the beauty of the Building. I immediately fell in love with the place and the vibe it resonates. I found the place meticulously handled and maintained. They have a good system for taking and addressing the enquiries. They have a Library with array of Books and Novels in English Language. I loved the space it provided and the crowd that it attracts. You have to have the membership of the British Council Library to have access to it and to have space to read and or study. Not only this, if you have the membership, you get the whole wide space to have your study or even work with your laptops i.e. you are not restricted just to the library to read/study or work. I loved this arrangement and eagerly want to start the membership. British Council provides many courses in English Language including CELTA, Business English etc. Must visit and have a beautiful experience:)

I found British council a strongly inaccessible to users and test takers. I was suppose to send my additional TRF to institutions. I called up at British council india and there number did not connect when it did after many minutes of call waiting, it got disconnected in middle and nobody followed up. They are horrible at after services and communication something they claim to test in their English exam. After several attempts, I was left with no answers. I could have rated them in negative if that was an option.

Such a lovely waiting tone set by Customer care officials! I have been trying hard to have a word with British Council Customer care executive but all I got was the most irritating waiting tone! No queries, calls or mails are being properly answered. Big shame for such a renowned institution! Visited CP centre Delhi too but to my surprise, nobody was there to attend. Feeling frustrated & cheated!

If you have hard earned money, this place is not for you. I joined one of their paid ielts course and the output comes 0. They never tough you how you can actually crack the exam rather they focus only on exam pattern. I would not suggest anyone to go for paid courses, if you Google and search at YouTube you will get 100 times better content and really good techniques.

The library service is terrible. You can't get a moment's peace here while studying because of the security constantly disturbing. On one hand while I understand that there are rules to be followed, on the other I do not understand the logic behind constantly disturbing a quiet library and creating a commotion to check for LIBRARY CARDS?!!! Why can't it be checked before any customer enters the library, afterall they are posted just outside the library doors at all times?? Not to mention the rude and arrogant customer service. It has been a month or more that some random IT personnel misbehaved with me and my friend but there has been no action/ explanation from their end. Not to compare but British council Kolkata is a lot more cultured civilised and better.

I'm truely upset from their services. I paid for my IELTS orientation on the day of orientation my account has been blocked. tried to reach their customer support via email. and then i changed my password though I faced the same issue. i wasn't able to join their zoom orientation and my money seem to be wasted. Apart from this i like their online learning syllabus .

I have just finished my course of IELTS and it has been a wonderful journey. The faculty is extremely efficient and supportive throughout, pushing us to do better at every step. There are several practice sessions that helped me to know my shortcomings and improve on regular basis. Mr Parth made the class extremely interactive and focused on every individual aswell even while teaching the whole group

British Council is totally unprofessional. I would suggest to go with IDP rather. it's been more that two months now and I am still waiting for my result. They don't care about your time and money. They are making fool of me every time by saying that we will update you next week. One of my known appeared IELTS test one week later than me and he got his result last week. I am hopeless now and planning to appear for another test but via IDP.

let me tell you all my experience with british council i joined it to improve my writting skill in IELTS but didn't get any advantage from this course. may be my expectations from them were too high and they didn't meet my expectations. they will never teach you properly how to use tip and tricks to improve any of the four skills and you have to work onto them on your own. i will never recommend anyone to go there and waste money instead it is better to sit at home and watch youtube videos and work on your skills on your own!

Peaceful, silent, good references and rich collection. Things to look out for you should be in before 12 pm max. As many IAS aspirants prepare here. Good repository for Literature and Management. No printing account. Can also prefer to join events and clubs relating to your interest. Perfect place for silent study including a cafe downstairs.

You can sit at the British Council Library for few hours peacefully. If you are studying, doing research, taking membership here is best idea. You get space and time. Nobody disturbs you. But dont forget to bring your food from home. Cafe is costly here ... ₹250 for sandwich and ₹200 for green tea. However, it is a personal choice that you are required to make!!! As many times I come back here, this place never ceases to exude the warmth and comfort of books and learning ambience.

Secure, clean and beautiful. The library is great with a good variety of options, though if academics is your priority you can't rely on it for all resources. It's maintained nicely and the reading room is just enough to be called spacious, depending on the crowd. It is walking distance from the metro station too, so that helps.

So, the British Council in Delhi is pretty awesome when it comes to IELTS classes. They have a fantastic teaching faculty who are experienced and knowledgeable. They really know their stuff! And the best part is, their classes are cost-effective too. So you get quality teaching without breaking the bank. It's a win-win! 😄👍

First, the latte is terrible here. It’s better at KK Birla’s Alliance Francaise. If you are asking me and you should be, it’s worth it to learn French just to get a good access to ‘proper’ espresso beans. Secondly, is the British Council too good for newspapers from the land or what. What a bunch of cheapskates! Also, why does it feel like I’m entering a fortress, that which stores all of King’s wealth. It’s just plainly untenable. TTR(To The Royals)

It's a good place to learn English speaking. It's totally different from other coaching for languages. The best part is that you can choose your classes yourself. I've just taken 10 classes now and it's great.
