The Matos family welcomed us into their tasting room on a rainy day in PEI and let us experience their passion for creating the finest products on the island. Reasonably priced samples and great communication helped us to pick some excellent beverages to remember our trip. Thank you both so much.

Really fun experience at Matos winery, no line up and didn't need a reservation. The tasting was seamless, we were able to choose 4 each. Favourite was wildberry gamay that goes very well with dark chocolate; very interesting liqueurs were the bagaco and anisette. Could use a slightly larger range of wines, but generally very impressed with the taste and quality.

Love Matos wine! Gamay Noir is a good one if you enjoy red. ! It's great that our little island has so much to offer!!

Very clean, professional establishment with knowledgeable staff. Only 3 stars for me as the very distinct products were not as good as other places, and this is just a personal preference on my taste. Others there really seemed to like it, so I can understand the other higher review ratings. I really tried to find something I liked enough to buy, but these products did not match my taste. I had samples ( and these samples were the largest by far in volume of any place we stopped on our winery/distillery tour) and these samples are stong. I wouldn't want to have 3 full samples and try to drive. Had to tell the lady to not pour so much after the 1st sample. Really distinct offerings of products I've never seen any other place, just not my thing I guess.

what they do they do well. friendly staff, nice little retail store. we visited when it was busy and the young lady still made sure that everyone was looked after. tasting samples are generous compared to some places we have been. we enjoyed the Gamay, Chardonnay and the strawberry Chardonnay. a larger selection would have been nice.

Small quaint winery; lovely service. Their wines were delicious and the spirits also. Definitely worth the trip to visit them. Owner was more than wonderful with us. Thanks again and we’ll be back!

Visited this nice winery from Ottawa today. The owner was the one that served us and she was super nice. The wines were very nice also. Next time we are in PEI we will be back again.

We stopped in today for a tasting. I was so impressed with the varieties of wine and liqueurs. I am not a white wine fan and the strawberry Chardonnay was my favorite! There are some unique flavors and I suggest you give this place a visit.
