From Farrah at the front desk to Kerene in housekeeping and everyone in between, staying here was an absolute pleasure. Besides the rooms and wonderful atmosphere they create, the event and meeting accomodations were fantastic as well. I almost Don’t want to recommend this place just to keep the hidden gem for myself, but they definitely deserve the recognition. Will certainly stay again!

Checked into this hotel the night before our flight. We arrived at 8pm tired and was greeted by a lovely receptionist. I cannot recall her name. She was very accommodating and friendly and told us we can eat at the in-house restaurant before it closes. We went and had the best curry goat I have had in a while. We also had chicken wings and fries which were delicious. We also had two nice cold beers. Well worth the trip and it’s close to the airport … 20 mins trip. The rooms were excellent nice and spacious and the shower very relaxing.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel: My trip to Kingston Jamaica was more about business than pleasure. I have alway stayed at Terra Nova Hotel in New Kingston, a very family and friendly environment. A family friend suggested Altamont Court Hotel because it was minutes drive from the business office. Upon checking in I was amazed at the security system with the iron gates and many iron bars. I hesitated to check-in, but it was pretty late the night of 19/5/22 to go in search of another hotel. I have never been incarcerated, but that night I felt like I was checking into a jail. The hotel associate transcends poor hospitality, no smile, abrupt response and lack of engagement. Despite, I went through with my transaction by providing my credit card information, collected my access card and hurried to my room. Needless to say, it couldn't have gotten any worst, that's what I thought. I felt thirsty and not even a complimentary bottle of water made available. I tried calling the front desk only to discover it was a non working phone in the room. The WiFi was not available. One of the front desk personnel informed me that it was a net work issue (big lie). The decor in the room outdated and tasteless. Even though I have very high standards not just in life, I am able to adapt to any given situation. I did so under the circumstances presented to me. I further extended my stay for two main reason the air conditioner was superbly excellent, and the hot water for shower was wonderful. With all that, a few guests moved in a day later and the noise was unbelievable. What tipped the scale for me, after placing a call using my overseas phone, simply to inform the front desk about my extension and need to come to the front desk to up-to-date credit card info since the reservation was done through a third party. The OK was granted, but a few minutes later I heard banging on my hotel door. When asked, "how can I help you?" His response, "I came to collect payments for your remaining stay". In hand he had his card machine. I politely told him I would come to the office to address my stay. Unaware he was still standing at the door, I closed the door headed for the shower, there went the nock! Nock! again. By then I realized I was not at a hotel, it was more poorly managed " motel". I paid for the extra day $150 US dollars using my credit, since it was 10 minutes before check out time at 11am. I requested an invoice of my entire stay, initially I was told by the hotel manager that she couldn't grant me such receipt since I booked my reservation using a third party. Granted, all payments were given to them using my credit card. Eventually, they gave in by providing me my statement after I insisted. It was learning experience for me, just know my experience may not be an experience for all. Good Luck!!? It was an adventure

I must commend the staff, every single one of them that i came across have great customer service. I believe who ever is running this hotel or owns this hotel knows that customer service is everything. Keep doing a good job. I will be back soon.

First impression counts, the moment I walked in everyone was courteous. I been to so called 5* hotel and it’s just name brand. I am mentally and physically exhausted and right now this is cozy and quiet for me. I guess it depends on what you need at the time. I’m so impressed with the food, I had steam bammy, n fish with rice n beans made in coconut milk. Finger licking good. It’s so peaceful, just what I need to study n write my 8 pages essay. I definitely would return. Definitely needs updating but it’s clean and the price is reasonable. Thanks operation manager for helping with my bag and other assistance.

The place is ok for a night or two while doing business in Kingston, thanks to its excellent location. The staff at the restaurant was very friendly, welcoming and polite, but the front desk was definitely not. The room had some serious imperfections such as warm water that took about 15 minutes to come, or the "balcony" door which was broken, or the fact that we did not have enough towels for the # of guests in the room. However they were quick at providing the missing towels once we went to the front desk. The fridge smelled really bad, and the place needed some renovation overall. An ok place if you're just passing by.

I travel a lot to Jamaica. For cleanliness and quality room in a nice clean pool in a restaurant with excellent food at great prices there is nothing I have found better in all quadrants of jamaica. On business so I didn't need the beach or other views, not great as far as walking to things especially at night. But super close in a taxi to Great variety of food both local and international favorites. The staff provides service that is internationally acceptable, you don't have to make any excuses for why someone didn't understand what you were asking or didn't get you what you needed, they handled their business well

Altamont Court Hotel is a place you can stay for a few days doing business or running some errands not for honey moon and it is safe. I spent 4 days and nights there.

Highly Recommend ☺ This was my second time staying at this hotel, very comfortable and laid- back atmosphere, wonderful, warm, and welcoming hospitality, staff friendly and accommodating, all areas of the hotel impeccably clean. You immediately feel relaxed as you walk into the Lobby area and breathe in the fresh clean scent and feel the cool and efficient air- conditioner - a refreshing break from the Caribbean heat outside. Rooms very large and spacious, free wifi and great internet connection, lots of hot water in bathrooms, delicious Caribbean breakfast served in a beautiful setting by the pool. I travel alone so I particularly appreciated the great hotel security, I felt very safe and secure. Special thanks to Rochelle and Christo ...? with long braids at front desk who checked me in. I highly recommend this hotel to everyone. Thank you for making my stay a very enjoyable one. This is the place to stay. I will be back.

Overall, a great hotel. The rooms are nice and the staff are friendly . Special shoutout to Claudette and Shashauna, amazing service at breakfast. However, the bathtub was quite slippery as it didn’t have a mat in it. This should definitely be rectified as it can cause several physical problems.

I always thought reviews were overrated until I had a bad experience! I went to the Altamont Court Hotel in Kingston Jamaica on December 29,2022 for 4 nights. On New Years Eve, my husband and I were in bed about to fall asleep when the bottom of the bed broke, causing the Mattress to crash to the floor. My husband went to the front desk to complain about the problem and the Hotel was booked out so they put us in a room that the Manager said, in his own words “ this room is technically out of service, but it is the only room available because we are fully booked “. The TV did not work and they had promised, that they would have another room available to us the next morning. They never contacted us until late afternoon to advise that they had a room available and that they would be crediting us for one (1) night. After all that happened, I was ready to leave and checked out a day early, and still haven’t receive a credit as promised. I would not recommend this Hotel, not even to a stray animal! No one should have to leave their country to visit another to experience this type of service…

Service is good, great staff. Clean room. The ambience is good. Enjoyed the Jamaican breakfast, however fruits were missing from the menu . On my next visit I would like to be able to enjoy some of the locally grown fruits , Jamaican fruits .

It's an okay place to stay in kgn. Service is half and half. Prices are decent, bar is good, conference areas are ok in size as well. Rental is decent.

The photos are rather misleading. The place probably looked like the photos once upon a time, but now, the wood is cracked and stripping, tiles are cracked and everything on a whole needs updating/changing. The gym is in a similar state. It is comprised mainly of cardio equipment, and one machine dedicated to strength training. There isn't a weight rack available either, but there were some boxing gloves which had seen better days. The pool itself was lovely and the water was warm. However, there was no suitable place to lounge at the poolside. Whatever few lounge chairs were there were terribly sunken in and in need of replacement. Customer service was ok. Nothing to shout about but at least there was no hostile treatment.

Kool and quiet getaway spot. Went by and did some work and I was just enjoying the environment while I worked. It's my intention to visit some day to come.

The hotel is centrally loxated to the restaurants and entertainment night life in New Kingston. However, the place need some renovation because the furniture are worn out and the walls need painting .

Bathroom fixtures for the room I got (116 ground floor) needed fixing.. no hot water option was available. The staff was warm and welcoming for the most part. The food wasn't all that great and customer service at the restaurant and dining area needs improvement..

Decor is a bit dated and room could have been a bit cleaner. I didn't like how the sun came in cause the curtains weren't thick. The bed was alright. Breakfast options are limited.

Attended a Paho/MHO training, Stayed 3dys 2nights,the hotel is small and quaint, very quiet and relaxing, breakfast was included in the package, however dinner had to be purchased, the restaurant closed at 7pm, so I missed dinner on the first night, since the hotel is located in the new Kingston area, food is readily available from nearby restaurants.. The rooms are small but clean, on checking in we were each told to take a bottle of water 8oz..none was in the room although there was a small refrigerator.. No kettle or tea bags..this would have been appreciated since the kitchen closes early.. Water(1litre) and tea bags are budget friendly and won't break the bank.. Staff was courteous and helpful.. Breakfast on the final day was ackee and saltfish, fry dumpling and boiled banana for me.. Totally delicious 😋. A great hotel for conferences and business meetings

Mid size boutique hotel, the room featured a dramatic cathedral ceiling and Great house decor. Restaurant features both American and Jamaican dishes freshly prepared meaning you'll be waiting but quite appetizing.
