Sora is likely the best sushi spot in Kingston. I visited shortly after the re-opening on a Thursday evening. The wait staff was pleasant although not very knowledgeable but I assume that was because the location is new. The drinks were top tier though. Of course I got the mojito special. We had the miso soup and Japanese fried chicken as appetizers and the dragon roll, Crispy Stamina Eel roll and the shrimp and shrimp roll. The chef took time to come and explain that the shrimp and shrimp has blanched shrimp on top (not a fan of raw seafood). All in all great experience.

The ambiance here is everything. Take the roof settings in the night time and you won't regret it. I dont even remember my waiter name but he delivered exceptional service. Although we some points had to wait a bit bcuz they had a full house but was understaffed. He did explain though. The food was very tasty and well prepared and the cuisine was just the difference we were looking for. This was a birthday treat and I really enjoyed the relaxing ambiance and the terrific tastes. Definitely going back

Sora Japanese is the perfect place for a date or business meeting. The views from the rooftop are beautiful in the evening. I wish I was able to attend during a sunset. The food was good and the prices were average. I would recommend this location if you want to impress clientele or a date because of the views and food.

Food nice but the egg kinda not necessary in rice

I went to this place yesterday, Valentine's Day, and it was a good choice to have my date. The service was well paced and the food was absolutely delicious! Inside arrangment is a small but outside on the roof is lovely- It has a great view! However, the down side is that there if it rains then those dining on the roof will have to be relocated inside which can be inconvenient if inside seatings are already full. But overall i would definitely come back here.

Favorite place to get sushi in Kingston.

Since they have rejected my review I'll be reposting.....if I could give zero these people would get it. The first time I tried them the didnt have 2 ingredients. Instead of notifying me they have the meal and charged the full price without suggesting additionally. When the manager was spoken to about the situation he did nothing. Absolutely nothing! Zero for dishonesty zero for customer service and zero for food...your best bet is easy Japanese for your money

I ordered a couple of their appetizers on 7Krave. I felt disrespected by the serving sizes. It was a complete and utter waste of money. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY here. I suffered so you don't have to. My photos show almost $6000 "worth" of food from Sora Japanese Sky Cuisine.

Great food, excellent service and a very good ambience. The ramen was done very well, the noodles were delicious and maintained a good body, the broth wasn't too salty and the nori and pork (from what I ordered) were perfect. The sushi was amazing, definitely a great place for sushi fans and those that want to try for the first time.

I loved everything about this experience. The setting created a rich and cozy ambiance for a great night. There was the option of dining indoor or outdoor. I opted for outdoor dining. The customer service was on point! A+ for attentive waiters who served with good attitudes. The food was amazingly scrumptious! Try the Mix Fried Combo or the Teriyaki Shrimp! And i encourage you try the octopus if you haven't eaten it. Don't go simply to eat food. Go for the experience and trying something new.

The service was good, not great but good. Love the fact that you get your own remote to press to notify when you're ready to order. The food also was great. What I loved most was the fried crab legs, simply amazing. This is where I learnt how to use Chopsticks 😎

It was my first time dining at this Japanese restaurant. I ordered the Sora Healthy Bento. The presentation was simple and nice. The rice tasted like Japanese rice. The miso soup was a welcome treat for me. Very mild in flavour though. It was a very nice dining experience. Restaurant decor was okay, the staff was friendly and professional. I definitely want to return to try other dishes. Warning! It is pricy. If you were to compare the meal with what you'd get in Japan, this is expensive, and doesn't need to be. But, everything is expensive in Jamaica, right?

The ambiance is nice, especially the view from the balcony. The customer service was also really good. We were attended to promptly and the wait for our meals was short. The presentation of the food was appealing and the portions were big. We were almost full from the appetizer. It was all very sumptuous. We would definitely visit again.

I had a great time here with my coworkers about 3/4 years ago. I don’t experiment with food so I took what I was familiar with (tofu). It wasn’t bad, but everyone who took sushi and rice thoroughly enjoyed except for those who mistook the wasabi for avacado. 😂😂😂 The view the view the view… it was great! And the music created a nice vibe.

It was a good experience overall. The food and flavors were definitely different. Our table had a waiter buzzer which I found really cool. So we could easily get attention of a waiter, even though the results was otherwise. Our only problem was the wait staff seemed very impersonal. We waited quite a bit before we could order. Maybe the night was too busy. Also, my God, the stairs... The name definitely speaks to the journey to the skies lol .. Ladies, flats are recommended. I hope they get an elevator soon.

Sora is my absolute favourite spot in Kingston. The rooftop at night is perfect for a girls night out, birthday or anniversary celebration, or anything for that matter. Service is always great, everyone is pleasant and ready to assist and the food is top notch. I will always recommend Sora when asked where to eat.

Sora is a favourite of mine...always. The service is not as great as I'm used to but I'll give them time to adjust with the influx of people and new location. It won't stop me from enjoying my fav sushi spot 😋

I adored the atomosphere that was presented. The music selection was nice, the vibes given off were top notch too. The service provided was very good, and the staff was very patient. The food here was amazing! very tasty (to me at least), and it was also inexpensive..depending on on you order of course, rarer food items the more expensive it is. I personally would 100% come here again.

The food was really, really good. Had the Teriyaki Chicken, Teriyaki Pork, and Dragon Sushi. All of the dishes were great, especially the teriyaki dishes. Service was great also, music and vibe were relaxing. Open air concept, the lighting at the tables were low, was kinda giving a romantic type of settings.

The whole ambiance along with the food and service is breath taking. Really enjoy dining here and will be back again.

Food delicious, took my 3yr old for early dinner at 5pm...he loved the shrimp tempura and miso soup. My rolls were beautifully presented and so good. Excellent fas, attentive service. Sexy ambience. Overall great experience! Can't wait to go back.

It was my first time going to Sora since they moved from Phoenix Ave to the Progressive Plaza and I must say that the new location works! Vibes are perfect, ambience is lovely, and the food it amazing! 10/10 would recommend. ✨️😊

Nice chill Sunday evening vibez. A great girls evening out. Food was good. Server was attentive and made great menu suggestions. A bit pricey but the serving sizes are huge!

Re-opened with both indoor and outdoor seating. It is one of the few Alfresco options in Kingston - dine under the stars. Great food and a well curated cocktail listing.

Good sushi. The spicy mayo was perfection. The rolls were tasty. Loved the sesame sauce that came with the fried chicken.

Surprise hit at Sora! The food is great and not only did it look great but tasted even better. The copper shot is spicy so go into that with a little prayer. The spot itself looks really well done so kudos to the design team. I hear they have lunch specials so I am looking forward to going back for a working lunch.

Good food. Great ambiance. Decent service. The location offers both indoor and outdoor dining. We called ahead and it was recommended that we sit indoor due to the temperature outside. The venue is a great option if you wish to dine and have a conversation. Sora offers authentic Japanese cuisine, complete with chopsticks. I suppose you could get a fork, but I never asked. The food was great and the selection from the bar is pretty wide including both traditional and Japanese beverage options. The price point is what you would expect for the experience and the class of restaurant. I really wanted to give 4.99 stars. The main waiter seemed to keep forgetting a part of our order and we were being served by 3 waiters over the course of the meal. The venue is clean (I did not go in the restroom) seating was well spaced and all the staff were wearing masks. I will definitely be returning!

Good Food = HORRIBLE SERVICE The food is still good, But what really disappointed me was the service... Is like a joke. We got our sashimi combo in the table but we were without soya, chopstick, napkin, ginger, soya bowl, or a plate. The Temaki (hand roll) that was as well in the table become sticky and disgusting, because you supposed to eat asap, but was no soya not plates... The miso soup arrived after 3min we arrived in the restaurant while we were ordering a gin tonic at the bar, because was no table... So when we are waiting the table arrive the miso soup, but guess what? When we are at the table they said the miso soup finish... So no miso soup ... After 20 min we got our soya. We ordered a bottle of wine and we got just 1 glass.... We said we want a bottle of Beringer and we received another bootle more expensive without even tell us. We then got the news that our wine was finished.... After 45 min we ordered 2 glass because eating without drinking would definitely been the cherry on the cake of this horrendous evening at Sora. Get your staff trained or close down the restaurant because you just waste people time. To pay this amount of money and get the service of the jerk place down the corner is a SHAME! We really used to come here a lot, so we feel so sad about this...
