Overall Island Grill has a great chain of restaurants. This location is by far one of my favourites. The staff works really fast at this location so there is hardly ever a long wait. Additionally the customer service is really good here, always so pleasant and very friendly. Moreover I like whole setting of this location, it's a bit different from the others more rustic and giving that old time vibe.

Wonderful place for Sushi

Came in at 9:35pm almost closing time and so the festivals and ripe plantains were cooked on the spot. Hot an tastey. Jerk nice as always from Island Grill. No crowd. Lots of parking. Cashier charming

(Editing 4 years review)😊🙋🏾‍♂️ Ooook, I took my niece there last night and what's new for me is that there is NO more Wifi password on your receipt🧾 from your purchase order, BUT!😇the wifi is open publicly which is great but it's seem very slow to log into (maybe it's my phone🤔🤷🏾‍♂️) the A/C is still there to make your waiting time a little less irritating/stressing when there's a trendy line to the cashier...there's restroom for both gender and it has two exits/entrances (at the parking area side and the main entrance is the other) there's food for vegans and natural juices such as Beet Root juice, Lemonade & Green juices) High and low chairs plus scenery tables if you'd like to just view the traffic outside🤭

Consistent quality in food, service is hanging in there, it’s a grab and go place, if you don’t mind crowded at times congested open area to eat, it’s the spot for you.

Great Japanese food. Fresh made and delicious. Beautifully arranged plates. What is incredible is that the place transforms to one of the most happening spots in Kingston Nightlife.

Poor service by incompetent staff. Every day they get worse. I only suggest going when it's empty. The Annex location isn't much better, staff would rather chat and idle than pay attention. Been a customer for years but I'll no longer be one.

Unbelievably difficult to get to from the underground parking lot. I found it easier after exiting the shopping Centre entirely and entering from outside. Consistently good food. Fresh sushi. Tasty cooked options. Generally overpriced. If decor is important to you, go with the Annex location...The style at this location is eclectic but the finishes are poor so it looks chaotic

I have altered my review because this restaurant has made alterations to its service since my last review and I want to honor the improvements that they have made. They organized their menu, the food was still just as great as my first visit. In conclusion, I would highly recommend East Japanes and will definitely be returning!

Food here is ridiculously good but also ridiculously priced. Take it as you will, good food costing good money or just good money overall. Definitely know you gonna be dropping that paper for this dining experience. Nice environment and ambiance overall it's quite a spacious and enjoyable experience overall. Also side note feel free to ask for a fork if you are not chopstick proficient so you don't starve to death while trying to learn how to pick up your food to eat it.

Very clean place to dine may be a bit costly however, the food is very good.

Great service as always. Really miss some of the menu items from Market Place like the Tokyo Noodles, but the Teriyaki Bowl, Kara-Age and spring rolls are some of favourites for a quick grab and go.

Service was nice (then again I was there during the slower hours I think). Food came in a timely manner and the portions were good. I went for the ramen but their selection wasnt as varied as the one located in marketplace. Planning to go back and try other things on their menu, so this might change based on that.

Had a good time, enjoyed the food and the drinks. It food get a bit loud toward the end of our evening, but the dj was doing her thing, and the party setting was starting up for the evening. We had an excellent waitress - she was switched on - better than average for the local scene. I'll be going back.

I'm in and out of there in a jiffy because I call ahead to order. The place is clean. Temperature check and sanitizer given at the door. One recommendation is that they need to have the call and order processing more professionally done. For instance, when I called to order, I could hear them calling for the person. Sometimes I gave my order twice because the employee I initially gave the order to was not the designated person to take the order. When I went to collect the order, the cashier shouted the designated person's name. Good service overall!

Awesome tasting Jamaican food. Everyone can find something here, even vegetarians. They do some wicked rice dishes! Calaloo, pumpkin and the infamous rice and peas. And a seasoned chips that is so flavorful! There food packaging is very environmentally friendly too. Can't beat a desire to take care of the environment...

Out of all the fast food joints ...this is borderline fast but more a restaurant. Nonetheless, it is the healthiest food of all. The variety is extensive and so almost anyone can dine their.

You can get a wide variety of foods from, jerk chicken, escovitch fish, festival and green plantains that gives a burst to your taste buds leaving you wanting more.

Island grill is always consistent and still the best for Jamaican fast food. You know what you are getting without the long wait at some other local joints.

The burgers are always cold and dry regardless of the branch. Chicken servings are small. Soup isn't great. Prices expensive. However, the customer service is always great and the restaurants are clean.
