I was utterly DISAPPOINTED... On referral from a hiker I went with great hope that this would be a fun trip.. I received NO KEYS to the room, over charged for a tour guide, I paid for lunch n dinner for the 3 days n the second day I receive over night food n only one dinner. The next morning I was informed that the coffee wasn't part of the meal(not knowing) so extra money was to be paid... the bin in the bathroom had rubbish from the guest before it seemed n wasn't emptied. All in all I wouldn't stay there again...

We planned on staying 2 nights that turned into 5 and even then we really felt like we were leaving too soon. Jah B, his family and friends are very laid back but ever present as well. The place is freaky immaculate, the mattresses are excellent and the wifi is the best on the island ! Dinner is excellent as well. All vegetarian and made with 💗. Be sure to bring enough food for breakfast and lunch and snacks. There is no fridge as well but it was cool enough for our box milk to keep for the 5 days... Jah B’s is as authentic as you can get. A must for sure. Soon forward Jah B and family!

Best start point for morning hike to Blue Mountain Peak. Also you can buy some local coffee. Warning : don't try to get there with your rental. Just call and somebody will pick you up with a 4x4.

We stayed at Jah B's place one (half) night to do the hike up to the summit. Jah B cooked us dinner and breakfast which was lovely. We had a nice conversation and learned some more about Rastafarianism. One downside was that our hike was too slow (due to combination of other guests and the guide) and therefore we missed the sunrise. However it was cloudy so we probably wouldn't have seen much of it anyway. With a proper flash or headlight we could have done the hike on our own. The surroundings are beautiful and overall we did enjoy our stay very much.

Jah b is fake they are just waiting some people to take the money, no need guide for the hiking, I'm very disappointed with them , they changed the price ! That's not rastafari and no Selassie

AVOID AT ALL COST. We paid £500 in advance and upon arrival found a run-down , ramshackle room with sub-stand fixtures and fittings. The room clearly hadn't been cleaned since the last poor souls who had stayed there. Bins were full, bathroom sink was grubby and had a rim of dirt around it and the toilet was stained brown. The room had a heavy and sweaty hum about it as if a workman had slept in there without bathing and when we complained saying we couldn't possibly stay in such conditions we were told we could not get a refund. After much back and forth we left utterly dejected and disappointed knowing we'd been scammed. I read the reviews of jah b's and am 100% convinced they are fake because nowhere did I see evidence of the wonderful experience or good standards described. Avoid at all costs. JAH B'S IS A SCAM.

Jah B, Everton, kitty (a cat) and Russell made my one-night stay a delight. I did get into an adventure getting there, and did not have enough money to pay for the rides they gave me in a 4x4, the meals and coffee, but "no problem." I love that we tried to solve it with PayPal, and hope that JahB gets some help with this so he can get his desserts for this beautiful lodge. Hike the peak!

Jah B is super nice. The house is clean and it is a very convenient location for hiking blue mountain. I'd recommend bringing some extra cash bc it's pretty remote and services are more expensive around there.

A complex up in the mountains away from the chaos of town. Just be prepared for the very rugged treacherous roads that you have to travel to get there. Definitely not for the faint hearted, and not to be driven by a novice. However upon reaching JB's Place you can relax and take in the view. They provide a nutritious vegetarian meal made from their local produce. Maybe a little on the dear side @ £10 a meal but very tasty. You can also buy his locally grown coffee, which can be ground on site. For those who would like to go to the top of Blue Mountain (which is another 4hrs hike you could stay at his premises, in the log cabins So check it out if you like tranquility and relaxation.

We had the pleasure of meeting two of the sons and the father on our adventures up to hike Blue Mountain! They helped us with transport from Mavis Bank up to the trailhead ($60 each way) and we bought a delicious cup of coffee before the hike! Also ended up buying a bag of Jah B Coffee since it was so good! What a kind and warm family! We're so grateful to have met them!!

We arrived late, they waited for us, we picked a time to climb , it was no problem, we needed to get a flat tyre sorted...they helped, horrendous conditions to walk but made great by the people there.

I stayed at Jah B's place back in 1999 - I had a great time there. It looks like the place has seen a lot of upgrades since then. At the time there was no hot water or electricity. Very rustic. I hope Jah B and Alex are doing well.

Beautiful, rustic lodge with a very friendly staff. You can bring your own food (no refrigeration on site), or have them cook vegan meals. The $12 dinner was excellent! Prices seem to be based on tourists.

Lovly place owned by a lovly famely. (Safe money and use the beautifull farmers hill trail to go there.)

Jah B is an amazing host. My friends and I enjoyed a lot at his guesthouse. Relaxing peaceful vibe. Strongly recommended! However, if you're on a budget travel, make sure you bring some foods with you.

Very good place to stay. The food is 100% vegan and from the own garden. WLAN is working slow but it worked. You need a 4x4 to get there. They offer pickup for 50USD. First we thought it is much for one way. But if you see the way, you appreciate it. Can definitely recommend it. It's also on airbnb.

When visiting the Blue Mountains, Jah B's place is the place to be. It's cozy, it's priced right, it's convenient. .. words can't describe it

The views from Jah B's are incredible, and it is a great base camp for those hiking the Blue Mountain Peak Trail. Jah B is good company and we appreciated the Rasta vibes. However, the lodging itself could be improved. The bunk house has only 1 light bulb that is controlled from the main house. There are no electrical outlets and the showers don't work. The kitchen stove doesn't work, and when we were there the kitchen was being used as a produce storage area. Little children were roaming in and out of our rooms and had to be told repeatedly not to touch our belongings. In the main house, one bedroom had no light bulb or switch in the bathroom. The other room had a broken door that screeched and scraped across the floor. We were locked in and out of that room repeatedly, and had to climb through the window, because of the broken door knob. The shower water was freezing cold. The kitchen in the main house was decently stocked with cooking utensils, but you are forbidden from cooking any meat in the kitchen. This is the communal kitchen for all guests as well as Jah B's personal kitchen, so it can get hectic when multiple people are preparing meals. There is no refrigerator for storing food. The electricity seemed somewhat unreliable, and flickered on and off throughout our stay. But the wifi worked fine! Jah B offered us amazing coffee in the morning. We waited about an hour past the scheduled time for both the ride to and from the house. Overall we enjoyed our stay at Jah B's, but with some basic improvements and repairs this place could be a real gem.

Easy going bredda, simple cottage, has the basics but is clean and put together. Would stay here again for another blue mountain trip

(Translated by Google) Although expensive, Jah B offered us a very good deal in an incredible place, where the essence of deep Jamaica and Rastafarianism in the mountains is perceived that differs from what we knew in the rest of the country. In addition, the kitchen that he prepared for us was particularly good. How do you feel that there was no hot water and that the tour to Mountain Peak was excessively expensive for what it was (you could go up by yourself, then they would charge you separately for the entrance to the natural park and on top of that the guide we took did not bother to explain much to us nothing .. and to top it all, when we got to the top it hadn't stopped raining and it was all cloudy so we couldn't even see sunrise ..)

(Translated by Google) Very nice and quaint guesthouse in the Blue Mountains. Perfect base for climbing the Blue Mountain Peak. Upon arrival, we welcomed a rustic Kauz and cooked us a delicious dinner. Then we had a quiet night in the cozy wooden hut. In my opinion the best place to stay in the area.

I have stayed there in the past two times. The owner Jah B continues to expand & improve the premises. They are one of the closest to the start of the summit hike. I visited him & was able to be included for dinner at a decent price for well prepared an Ital or vegan meal. The lodge has about 5 or 6 private rooms as well as dorm style room for multiple people. I highly recommend the lodging. Cold water showers with water heated by request. Transportation arrangements available. SUV type vehicles best for roads there. Lower sedans not recommended for the area.

(Translated by Google) Our worst experience in Jamaica. Unfriendly people, excessive prices (the guesthouse being isolated from everything, they abuse it). The hike to the top of the blue moutains does not require any guide as they can sell it, everything is very well marked. Be careful with the picking offered by 4x4 to reach the guesthouse (the only possible means of transport to get there), it is charged $ 100 to go up and down to the city (and we only warn you once at the top of course). We left completely stripped ... To avoid! A éviter !
