The road is very bad so be careful as some of the road side is gone. The falls is located on a property so there’ll be a gate to pay before entering. The fee is $200 - $400 or sometimes free if no one is at the gate. There’s a bar at the parking area and there’s also two bathrooms you can change in. Be prepared to walk down a few steps. If you aren’t fit, it will feel like a lot but the falls is worth it. Also, be careful if the falls is heavy then the pressure of the water will wash you away. Go check it out and have fun 🥳

Another natural wonder and a hidden gem of Jamaica. It’s not hard to find once you follow Google maps. The Road is rugged so I would recommend an SUV or 4x4 for a more comfortable journey. There are a few local shops where you can buy refreshments if you didn’t carry them with you. There's an entry fee of 500-JMD.

Insider tip for Bob Marley fans. Cane River Falls was one of his favorite places. The entrance fee is really affordable. You walk down steps carved into rock and poured concrete to the Cane River. This didn't have too much water when we visited and the cascades weren't all that impressive, like in some photos. There are reasonably clean toilets where you can also change clothes. There are drinks and something to smoke at the bar. There's a lot going on here at the weekend and Kingstonians like to come here to relax. Unfortunately, they also leave rubbish behind, which is of course a nuisance. But you often find this in places that are mainly used by locals. If you prefer it quiet and enjoy nature, you should come here on a weekday. The road isn't the best, but it's easy to get there.

Beautiful scene.. Upon arriving ... there is a parking area with a bar. It is a long walk down stair cases to the fall... may be a challenge for those who are unable to walk comfortably. A world pool like setting was created immediately under the fall... .. I will definitely go again. The journey to the river was not the best ... if a local was not with me I would have turned back 2 or 3 times as the roadway needs fixing. But just drive slowly... it will be worth the trip. :)

Listen! The only problem I had were the number of steps I had to go down😭 there are a lot so remember that. The scenery is really good and its very refreshing! The water is just a little cold at first but it's bearable. The 3 pictures I added are of the feont before you enter. Also, you have to pay a fee before you enter; it's $500 for persons anove the age of 12. I don't remember the cost for below 12 but yes I definitely recommend going there.

I can't find this place again by myself but it was a good trip. Don't ask me about fee no one was at the gate so we went in for free. Something is definitely in the want because my skin came out glowing. There is hike to get to the river and falls. Was a good spot to hangout. I went on a week day so it was not crowded. When we were leaving a popular entertainer was coming so it was getting crowded.

It was an overwhelming experience going down to the river has a lovely cliff and hill side veiw, that you Can take a few pictures while going down ; then when you get to the main pool ,there is where the fun begins, you climb in the cool nice water and enjoy the swimming experience . The most exciting part is when the water from the rock from above beats ;or for the want of more politically correct term is it forcefully messages you back and it feels great, you should definitely try it

It's very relaxing if you go early on a Saturday or in the week but otherwise it gets very packed, almost uncomfortable. There are a few pockets that you can swim in if you don't mind climbing over rocks. The falls itself is actually beautiful as is the path to get there. There is a bar, I've never bought drinks there so I'm not sure of the selection or how wide it is. I've been three times and the last two I didn't stay very long because of the crowd.

I love going here, the stairs are really hard to go back up tho. The only problem I have here is the people that go, they always drinking and smoking, taking up all the good spots and not allowing others to comfortably share the experience, it's now $500 for entrance. Please put more signs because we had difficulty finding the place, thank God for kind locals. This place is so nice, get your MP to fix the roads, there are some dangerous breakaways

A good place to visit with your friends. You have to buy a ticket of JMD 500 to enjoy the fall. The fall is really a must watch place… The rocks and paintings on them add on the beauty of the fall.

The waterfall was amazing, climbing the rocks were fun. It was fun all around. the walk to come back up is a knee killer if your not use to hiking. Fun place to visit.. The waterfall was nice and many spots along the river to take pics. Needs a little better maintenance.. Like areas to sits and eat down by the falls and clearing of bush.

I love waterfalls and this was an easy beautiful location to get to to enjoy the cool refreshing spring water and stand under the falls. Great place for a day trip for the family, a date, or for the backpacker to explore. If I recall correctly it was $200 JMD to get in.

Great for get away with kids. Only two suggestions, they could build some tables for family's to place their meals and two create two rest rooms at the ending of the river attraction for heavy waiste this is due to the distance of over 100 steps down to the fall. Other than that great pool at the falls.

Good experience,I really enjoyed the fall. The force of water cascading from the rock is very powerful. The water was clear, environment welcoming. I would recommend persons who want to visit the fall go in the morning especially on the public holiday. River water was clean , I would recommend every Jamaicans should go and experience the fall, that water beating is relaxing. On a serious note though, the road need a little fixing, but I would say I respect the other motorists who took the initiative and cooperative in terms narrow road they wait and let the larger vehicle pass. The motorists behavior were warmed. I really appreciate the cooperation though. I will go again and again.

When we went (Sunday) it was very crowded. The make shift pool was inundated with people and no one wanted to give up their spot. Would surely have been nicer maybe on a less crowded day. Got a little history lesson from Rasta who seem to be a tour guide of the sort.

Awesome hidden gem to visit😄 went on a spur of the moment trip here to "dip our feet", the water was refreshing to stand in, a few persons were there swimming, kids taking photos and videos. We will be going back soon on a weekend for a proper outing. It's a beautiful place to experience and we enjoyed the walk down.

Always fun when visiting these falls. The road to get there is a bit rough but nothing a regular car can't handle. It's worth it to get under those falls or just to chill in the shallower parts of the river. A family friendly place. There is an entrance fee. Keep in mind that there is a steep set of stairs to go down and climb back up

  • 5/5 Angie P. 3 months ago on Google • 11 reviews New
Pleasantly Surprised! Listen, the drive up the road was an ‘adventure’ 😩😮(drive slow) but once you reach the area it’s a nice parking spot (gated) with a bar, music and small bathroom. A few steps away you’ll start your descend down the longest stairway you’ll ever see 😂. The cave and rocks are beautiful….the waterfall is the goal! AMAZING!

  • 5/5 Jp M. 5 years ago on Google
It was amazing, nice cold clean river water and relaxing natural elements around. Can't go wrong with this one. Management however needs to invest some money here though. More railings and a better path to the other parts of the falls, the shop or restaurant on the property had nothing available, no supervision was present. You pretty much pay to park and that's it, no welcoming or anything. Under the right hands this place could be way better. The best advice is to get there as early as possible, because it can get crowded in the afternoon.

Good if your young but if you have knee problems there is about 350 stairs up and down uneven and wet and slippery at times. If you drive past the first entrance to the second entrance called ESCAPE you pay $200 Jamaican dollars only 10 stairs. Plus it has a natural pool to swim in if the river is too heavy.

This is probably the best waterfall in St. Andrew, as It's easy to find, very affordable to get in ($200) and fairly clean. Most importantly its lots of fun, and the water is crystal clear and about chest height so you don't really need to know how to swim. And the area is very picturesque, if you're into that. The only thing is, if you're disabled or just can't do stairs here's not for you.

I found this place pretty easy the road was extremely bad after you come off the main road if you're claustrophobic I don't think that this places is for you it's pretty cool it's amazing little spot one thing I was not aware of when I was there that a dog was on the compound he actually peed on a rock that I was sitting on and I was traumatized by it 😭😭 I end up leaving after that the entry fee was $500 for adults and $300 for kids... I think they should at least make people be aware that there's a dog that goes up and down by the river..

The falls are really nice and significant (Bob Marley and his friends used to hang out there), so it's really worth a visit, and the entrance fee is fair (J$ 500/person). Bad things are: 1) poor customer care and management of the attraction. First of all, when I had just entered the property, and after parking my car under the shadow near a tree, I was asked by one of the ladies of the bar to park face out, even if there was still a lot of space available and just a few cars parked. I complained, also because there was no sign requesting it, but the lady insisted asking me to do it. So, OK, I'll do it, even if I don't think it makes sense -- I said to her. Then, after some hours, I came back and saw that there were lots of car parked in any way -- facing out and not. So, I complained with the same lady and she couldn't give me a reason to explain such unfair treatment. This is very bad not only for foreign people like me and international tourists, but also for Jamaicans, who I think are passively accepting such poor customer care and not standing up for their rights like Bob Marley rightly battled for. 2) especially the area of the natural pool by the big fall, is poorly maintained and not monitored at all, with lots of trash (plastic wrappings, empty bottles and cans etc) in and out of the water, smell of urine by the rocks etc, and people putting loud and annoying music. Such natural heritage should be protected and preserved from people and activities that do not respect it... otherwise, soon it will be lost for good! 3) poor offer of food and snacks by the bar, with few options and no real restaurant menu available. SAVE THE CANE RIVER FALLS BEFORE THEY DIE, PLEASE!

Cane River falls is a lovely getaway to get some nice cool water. I did an entire blog post about it here the cost was $500 per person to enter I don’t know if it depends on who at the entrance because I heard other prices but I believed it recently changed to $500 for adults. ~EpicTourzZ~
