I
terminated
my
membership
on
November
11,
2014
with
Express
Fitness
due
to
their
insensitivity
and
callousness
regarding
the
chikungunya
virus
that
is
an
epidemic
in
Jamaica.
I
have
been
a
member
of
Express
Fitness,
Montego
Bay
for
almost
two
years,
practically
supporting
this
company
since
day
one.
They
tried
to
force
me
to
pay
membership
fees
while
I'm
not
using
the
facility
due
to
having
caught
chikungunya.
Since
a
large
percentage
of
the
population
is
getting
the
chikungunya
virus,
how
many
persons
are
being
forced
to
pay
membership
fee
while
being
out
with
this
severe
illness?
The
Montego
Bay
manager
implied
that
Jamaicans
are
using
the
epidemic
as
an
excuse
not
to
pay
their
membership
fee.
I
find
this
outrageous
and
insulting
to
all
members
of
Express
Fitness
and
this
is
clearly
a
company
that
careless
about
following
a
moral
path
and
is
only
concern
about
collecting
membership
fees
at
all
cost.
Maybe
this
is
why
they
require
you
to
submit
a
bank
account
in
order
to
withdraw
membership
fees
from
your
account.
The
one
month
notice
to
suspend
or
terminate
your
account
is
clearly
an
administrative
tactic
for
a
gain.
I
find
Express
Fitness
attitude
to
be
repulsive
and
having
option
is
a
good
thing
for
Jamaicans.
Apparently
Jamaica
needs
a
true
and
proper
Fitness
Club
with
modern
equipment,
steam-room,
sauna,
professional
staff
etc.
at
no
more
than
$3,500
monthly
(month-to-month
contract).
Maybe
it's
time
for
this!
