I made reservations online for 10:15 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2023 but upon arriving at the venue, I discovered that I still had to register at the physical office. That was a miserable wait as the line was extremely lengthy; the office/gift shop was small; only 1 of 3 air conditioning units was functioning; and the over-staffed desk was not working fast enough. The registration process, including being fitted with armbands, took approximately 1 hour. This consumed a lot of my tour time, considering that the opening hours are limited (9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.). I suggest a self-check-in kiosk on site, for patrons who made reservations, whilst patrons making in-office registration payments, do so at the office/gift shop. Otherwise, have 2 separate lines inside the office to facilitate a more efficient registration process. Another disappointment for me was having to make additional payments every step of the way, in order to enjoy the attractions and/or amenities. I think they should be included in the already expensive package or at least be complimentary. These include: lock & key for the lockers; professional photographs with the dolphins and all the other exotic animals at the venue; a beverage with the complimentary lunch; and an appetizing and presentable lunch with fresh vegetables instead of vegetables from a tin. A tour of the premises by a tour guide would also have been appreciated as it would cut down on lost time trying to navigate my way around on my own. Enclosures for the outdoor showers so patrons can bathe in private would be a plus. If these issues are addressed, I guarantee they will have more new and repeat guests. So my rating is 2 stars: 1 for the pets and the other for the trainers and grounds staff.

We booked the dolphin excursion through our hotel. It's not cheap but how often do you swim with dolphins. First note...our hotel said to bring cash and wear sneakers. Bring some cash for tips but you definitely need a credit card for pictures. Most people wore ocean shoes and not regular sneakers. Pictures are expensive so we just ordered them for the kids. At the end you download an app and download the pictures to your phone. Lunch was included with our excursion. We were able to get the jerk chicken and rice for free and it would cost money to get other menu items. The jerk chicken and rice were good. Maybe bring water as water is $5. Our small kids don't know how to swim and they were nervous in the beginning but the staff were great and they left happy. We did the short zoo afterwards and the bird guy was cool and birds were feeding off the top of our kids heads. Bring $5 bills for tipping and credit card for pictures and gift shop. I hope the details help with your trip.

Awesome experience!!! Never got this much time with dolphins for a fraction of the price. They get you with the price of pictures but hey, it's worth it. Trainers are very friendly and make dolphins do cool tricks. This place also has a pool, beach and a couple other animals that little ones will love. You can feed love birds, pet bunnies, macaws, and an iguana named Charlie. Really worth your time and money. You won't regret it!!!

Dolphin Cove is very nice place. We went with tour from Norwegian. We only walked around the grounds. But looked like the dolphin experiences were awesome. We watched and people had a ball. I enjoyed visiting the birds, especially Macalls. My husband had a beer, it was $7 (Corona) with tip and wasn't very cold.

We checked out the other Dolphin interactive spots while driving around but this one particularly is worth a visit. Kids loved the Dolphin interaction a lot. They charge for other's $40 but that too is worth it. Initially we didn't realize why until we explored the Mini Zoo where there is bird feeding, parrot interactions and Iguana holding. They also have stingray and sharks to explore. All in all a great place to spend some family time together. One tip go early and enjoy the other amenities before your Dolphin interaction. Carry DSLR here as their photo packages are super expensive. After a little hussle finally we got it for $55 for all photos digitally. They started with $40 for one photo. Restaurant there has some amazing food options.

We had such a great time here doing the Dolphin Cove as one of our excursions. We booked for the Royal swim and had lunch and a beer included. The dolphins and trainers were so great to work with. Food was fantastic but the service was super slow. So slow that the people who sat down after us got their food before us and we were stressing out because our bus was leaving.

Such a great experience. If you have the chance to go to Dolphin Cove Ocho Rios you definitely should. I did the dolphin encounter and the shark encounter. The instructors are very friendly and informative. They also had stingrays but I did not have enough time when I was there to get into the water and encounter them. The area has beautiful beaches and views from the pool. The nature trail has many birds you can hold and feed and an iguana also. Definitely a great experience all together. Would recommend. If I ever get to go back I'll go the dolphin swim. I would also like to add that all of the dolphins and the 3 nurse sharks are rescued, they have all sustained injuries from other animals or boats. All the animals seem to be treated well and taken care of. This to me says a lot. I hate to see animals in captivity or treated poorly.

Amazing experience!! I would highly recommend the Royal Swim!! The swim was incredible. The staff is Amazing also! Fletcher was the extremely knowledgeable trainer and he made sure that we had fun and got as many dolphin interactions as we could fit into the 40 minutes. Thank you to all of the staff at Dolphin Cove for making our experience a memorable one!!! I will be back!

So much improvement since the last time I've been there. It was truly a lovely day at Dolphin Cove. My daughter, niece and I traversed to the location on a weekday (to avoid crowds) it was busy but perfect to navigate all the activities. Even the pool and jacuzzi were fair in terms of occupancy. The only challenge I had was pricing of the photos, all activities are separately priced. I thought by now they would have offered a special deal for all photos taken on the day (management please look into this). Also so for locals, I was advised that it's cheaper to actually purchase tickets with photo packages at the location.

Went on a cruise excursion, our guide was Ornella, please ask for her, she was absolutely amazing, she cared for us and made sure we were all ok the entire time. Dolphin Cove was great too, so much to do there. Swimming with sting rays, great food, swimming in the beach too......definitely got our money worth with this excursion, would do it over and over again

I had a great experience with the dolphins. The staff were friendly, the photos they took were looked great and cost less than I expected. I didn’t purchase my tickets in advanced because I didn’t want to feel rushed. But no issues and you still need to wait to check in and get a bracelet. The wait to get in with the dolphins was unorganized-we all waited around trying to figure out what we were waiting for our time was 1:15 but didn’t get in until 2pm. I was concerned about seeing everything because they close at 330. But it all worked out fine for me I was done with the dolphins by 230 and I was able to look around. On another note I was concerned about the bunnies they looked sedated.

Great experience! I highly recommend swimming with the dolphins; they are beautiful and intelligent creatures. You can make a reservation or walk-in, though I will always recommend making a recommendation.

I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get to experience the park in its entirety because it seemed awesome. However, I assume because of the corona virus some of the areas like the waterslide, icecream shop, coffee bar, beach area and shark show, weren't in operation. The mini zoo was open and it was nice seeing the lovebirds especially and getting to feed them. I did the encounter program and it was a little scary standing in the water because the deck was slippery. The encounter was a lot of fun though. I enjoyed it a lot. Maybe next time I'll be brave enough to try the swim program. One thing I didn't like much were the bathrooms and changing rooms. I think these could use some improvement. Secondly, you have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to get your pictures and this is the only way to get pictures with the dolphin as phones are not allowed in the area (understandably so). All in all, it was a great and a unique experience. I'd recommend and I'd love to go back when the park is in full operation.

Swim and interact with Dolphins! I highly recommend taking the family to enjoy the grace and elegance that these Dolphins have. The cove is amazing to kayak with crystal clear water and they even have a jungle walk where you can interact with some of the wildlife.

They won't give you a refund, even when you have email documentation from their customer service saying you will get a refund and you cancel several months before the planned day. There is no way to get your money back unless you take them to Jamaican civil court and hire a local lawyer (who cost several hundreds) to serve as your proxy. Once you give them your money for an encounter you will never see it again if you cancel like we did because of Covid 19. We canceled with several months notice and provided all documentation, had customer service say we would get a refund, and now they won't answer any emails about it. With Covid 19 and other uncertainties dont book with them. They will keep your hard earned money if you have to cancel your plans. Very bad business practices.

The place itself is beautiful and the dolphins are very friendly. The staff is nice. The only cons are prices of the pictures and it isn’t stroller or wheelchair friendly. However, our tour guide helped us carry our strollers down the stairs.

This is a fun place to be offering a variety of attractions in one place. There is of course swimming with the dolphins (dolphin show), shark and stingrays as well as a petting zoo, water slide and kayaking. There is also a gift shop for those who want to purchase souvenirs and snacks as well as a small pirate village called little Port Royal. I would have given the place a better rating if it weren't for the poor service at the restaurant. For a resort that caters to a diverse set of visitors, I would have thought that the menu at the restaurant would have reflected such a business plan, given the hefty cost for admission. Instead, the restaurant only offered jerk chicken and rice and peas, included in the ticket price, with no drinks. You would have to purchase drinks separately and anything else you need to eat if you don't want the only meal offered on the menu. It turned out that it was the worst tasting rice and peas I've ever tasted and I'm a Jamaican living in Jamaica for more than 50 years. The jerk chicken was well below par as well. The attractions are much better than the food. Apart from the bad food experience, the location offers a great experience and the location is perfect, just outside the town of Ocho Rios.

My Dolphin Cove/Yaaman Adventure Park experience was AMAZING!!! From booking to the actual day, everything was spectacular. The customer service was impeccable. The place was so beautiful. I truly enjoyed the experience so much that we forgot to take photos for majority of the day. We swam with the dolphins, which I was nervous about at first because of my fear of large bodies of water but the dolphins were really nice and the guides/life guard were so patient. Then we had lunch, which was really good as well, and kayaked. There’s so much to do here. The place was simply breathtaking! If you ever visit Jamaica, or even if you live here, visit dolphin cove. We then drove to Yaaman Adventure park and that was also amazing! People were really kind and friendly. The highlight of that trip for me was the river and the ATV bikes. Man! This whole day was amazing. Prepare to have a lot of fun. I’m definitely going back!

There are dolphins, sharks, stingray, rabbits, iguana, love birds, Macaw at this location and the interaction experience is pretty good. The worst part of this tour is the the photography fee you paid for them taking pictures of you and the dolphins. $130 for 2 people and that’s just digital.

This is a very good attraction for the entire family, which includes a mini zoo, pool, slides, engaging with the dolphins (at an extra cost), and kayaking, just to name a few. It is important to visit this attraction before 2 pm (local time ), or you will not be admitted as some of the activities on offer are all at scheduled times. The food is decent and the staff members are very friendly and helpful. My 4 girls enjoyed this one, and it was our second visit....

We had a great time here. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Dolphin trainer Ronaldo was great. He clearly had a good relationship with the dolphins and had built trust. He shared his knowledge and expertise and made our experience amazing. We also spent time with the stingrays and enjoyed the jungle trail and kayaking

Awesome. First time experience. If you want to interact with the dolphins that's an extra fee. We were regular admissions which included: The Mini Zoo, Aviary, Water Slide, Pool & Kayaking. The food looks great but it isn't inclusive with the admissions package so you'd have to pay as you order. The staff was great and accommodating. It is definitely a place to vacation or unwind from a hectic work week. Oh, make sure to book a reservation beforehand (we didn't but they allow walk ins). A reservation ensures that there aren't any price surprises upon arrival.

Must do it. Great experience with dolphin. Staff is great, too. The only thing I don't like is that management charges a lot to get pictures of digital copy. Also, for every creature encounter, you need to pay that charge again. It should be resonable. Also, buy tickets online in advance.

The dolphin encounter was awesome. It was both fun and educational. I met and interacted with Mitch, a beautiful 22 year old Male dolphin?. Saw the sharks ?and stingrays interacting with the trainers and also held the beautiful parrots??. I didn't hold the iguanas?? but I touched them ?

Dolphin Swim was amazing, my family LOVED it! **Each person you encounter will want a small tip (and even follow up and ask for one), dolphin trainer assistant, bird attendant, etc. It's like coming to Disneyland and each ride attendant asking for a tip, not an experience folks from US are used to. That was off putting to me.**

  • 4/5 Jarod S. 4 years ago on Google
Had a great time. We all swam with the dolphins. Amazing creatures. When you look at dolphin in the eye you can tell it knows you're there and it's got a mind of its own. My son loved the swimming pool. He wanted to swim with the shark but that wasn't happening. There was a Jamaican girl there whose name eludes me at the moment but she had grown up in Brooklyn before returning to Jamaica. Extremely friendly person. Gave us the tip that if you walk out past the tourist area the taxis are about a quarter as much as they try to charge you Dockside.

Great family experience. Only downside is they aren't allowing people to take their own picture. Out friends/family must stay away on observation bridge. Once dolphin experience gets done, we can buy pictures for more than the cost of the dolphin experience itself. It's in my opinion way too expensive and I would have preferred to be told ahead of time what is the pictures cost or offered a package with dolphins and pictures. We didn't have time to see the mini zoo and touch the stingrays, but it's definitely a nice spot for a family day. We arrived around 10:30 and our shuttle was 3:15 and we would have needed some more time to see everything. It worth the trip, maybe you can try to deal on pictures...

Twas an awesome family day out at Dolphin Cove, Ocho Rios. My 5 yr old daughter was oh so excited and now every other convo is about dolphins. She met Coco who was spontaneous and fun to interact with. Depending on the program you choose, your interaction will be different. The Meet and Greet program is perfect for non-swimmers, pregnant women and other not-so- able persons. The day was laid back and the park empty (considering it was a Saturday) obviously due to Covid. Shopping and food was limited also. The water slide seems to be left out of the cleaning schedule so not recommended especially since we got stuck in it. The water pressure was low and slow. Dolphins are awesome interesting creatures and Dolphin Cove is a good place to meet them.

The experience was wonderful. They curated a "Jamaican Resident" package for a pretty cheap cost until end of Oct. My issue was the $30 charge for pictures that you could only probably get 4 good ones out of. A charge of 500 per picture as Mystic Mountain goes would have been better. No one wants 5 of the same shots.

Kids love that place. Could be more attracted if you go down with a price. It is pandemic not so many people, coming. $ 49 just to walk around ,general admission $150 and $170 to swim with dolphins. Rip off. Trainers should be more compensated for their job. Every one demands gratitude, it is became annoying.

My boyfriend and I had a great time at Dolphin Cove today. Our host's name was Fletcher and he was extremely friendly and funny. He and Cocoa (dolphin in our group) were the best part of my day. I strongly recommend this experience.

Overall the experience lasted about 20 min while you wait for everyone to get a turn it starts taking a long time then the instructors aren’t as friendly as you would think they were super rude to a couple before us, the pictures were super expensive then they try to lower the price significantly if you say no

This was always somewhere where I wanted to go. When I went there they definitely delivered. Bird aviary, interacting with dolphins, swimming with sting rays, kayaking and snorkeling were a few of the activities I did. The only downside was the expensive pictures. I would return to swim with the dolphins.

Really lovely attraction with the Dolphins. The staff are very friendly. Due to lack of customers since Covid the beach and slide area are not well kept but the pool and Dolphin attraction is perfect.

The dolphin encounter, kayaking, the slides, the pool was awesome. Be prepared to pay a fee for a locker to keep ur stuff, this fee is not included in the package. Also when u take pics with the dolphins there is a cost for u to get them which is only digital copies sent to ur phone or email. The minimum fee for pictures is 70 USD for 1 person..

The friendliest mammals existing at this place was the guy that assisted with the rabbits, the parrots, the iguana and the dolphins themselves. Firstly, the parking was terrible as you can only park on the roadside. There is an open space inside the venue so I don't understand why the owners don't allow some patrons to park there. Lunch was included in the package however no drinks and no kids meal was apart of it. No one even advised that this was the situation to manage the expectations of the customer. My family and I had lunch at the restaurant however, upon arrival the table was filled with messy food and we had to call one of the workers to clean up. Hospitality includes cleaning the areas for customers before they arrive as we had to wait for them to clean in order to dine. The worker was very rude, loud and disrespectful. In speaking with other employees, they indicated that this male worker is problematic as other customers have been complaining about his service. The changing rooms was a mess and the outside shower was broken. We had good time interacting with the dolphins which were Yaz and Aria. The best things about this experience.

We had a blast chilling with Coco the 🐬! Trainer was great. He showed a few tricks on how to get Coco to do certain things. The boys loved giving Coco a high five! Wish the rest of the area (water slide) was open when we were there. The encounter experience was great but the transportation to and from the resort is another story. Took half a day from us.

AVOID AT ALL COST I’m putting 5 stars so maybe it would be seen and read more. Definitely a 1 star operation. Booked the excursion through a cruise ship. It looks nothing like the pics. The facility is just a tourist trap.

  • 5/5 SARG G. 2 years ago on Google
Joshua and the other guys were very entertaining and accommodating. They ensured that guests have a great time. The photographs were quite expensive though for that low level of quality. Ziggy was absolutely great!😃

  • 5/5 Amanda B. 2 years ago on Google
We got the Royal Swim package and it was AMAZING!! 2 dolphins got under each foot and pushes you up, out of the water. This was one of the coolest experiences EVER! My daughter has CP from a stroke (so her balance is off.) She was skeptical, thinking she would not be able to stand. WRONG! They were able to push her up as well (she can't ride a bike.) I was so impressed with this. This was an awesome experience, absolutely awesome!

Everyone had fun especially the kids! It's beautiful! Kids didn't want to leave the premises. From swimming with Dolphins and stingrays, mini zoo, and kayak. Jacuzzi and pool for people who just want to relax. It's expensive but worth every penny of it.

  • 5/5 Michael B. 2 years ago on Google
We went here as a shore excursion from a cruise into Falmouth. The experience was great and we were surprised at the unexpected experiences like the macaws, iguana and the aviary. We did the cheap version which was the dolphin encounter and it was excellent. Very good value for what we got, our host was excellent, and our interaction with the dolphins was magnificent. I would recommend a visit to this place

  • 5/5 Kierstin J. 2 years ago on Google
Amazing experience. The staff made it very enjoyable and knew the animals well. Highly recommend.

The dolphin experience was very fun. My kids loved every minute. Fletcher was our guide and was great! I knocked two stars off because of the outrageous photo prices. They were good photos, but $380 for 7 people!!! And they won't let you take your own pictures in the dolphin area.

This was the first half of my Carnival cruise excursion. We got to swim with stingrays and had a nice meal before heading over to Dunn's River Waterfall

So fun! Aria is such a sweet dolphin. Really well run operation! They have lockers but you don't need them because everything is kept pretty safe and out of the way. The pool is very nice as well!

We experienced a lovely day with Tony and Mitch our dolphins and the trainer Christopher who was awesome. I enjoyed holding the iguana too. Great time, money we’ll spent and I will do this place again! Thanks for the memories!!

Great place to go where you can swim with dolphins, sting rays etc. Every one of the animals are taken well care of. The staff is very knowledgeable about the mammals training in their charge. The dolphins are very smart and gentle with their interactions with kids to adults. This is a must do for kids of all ages.

  • 5/5 Just J. 1 year ago on Google
I enjoyed seeing all the animals, taking pictures with the snake was almost traumatic but that's on me being scared of worm like creatures 😆 There was a slide and this was the highlight of the trip for us being able to go down. The dolphins were also cute and the show was super enjoyable and not to be missed. Next time I will be swimming with the dolphins for sure.

Was an amazing experience. Pay the extra to interact with the dolphins. A little pricey food and drinks, the shops need a major update. The main thing I got to dance with a dolphin! Great place to get a picture of your cruise ship

  • 5/5 Shauna F. 9 months ago on Google
Wonderful family friendly fun, the staff was great and very knowledgeable about each and every single animal on the premises. They keep the vibe high thoughout each activity and gave us pointers on how to full joy every single experience. Will definitely be coming back 😁 👍

My second time around and it was a great experience. Meet & greet with the dolphins was the highlight of this visit especially because I love these mammals. Overall, the food was good, friendly and efficient staff, its a nice place for your next stop.

Loved this experience! You will too. Please remember to take cash with you to tip the workers. Unfortunately, we did not have cash and wasn't able to. However, our next trip there we will be much more prepared. There is even more to see than the dolphins, although, they were very magical! Toni was the sweetest dolphin to meet!

We bought tickets ahead of our cruise thru Groupon and took a taxi to get there from the pier. There were shuttles inside the pier parking/shopping area that wanted ~$20/person 3 km drive but the taxi guys right outside the cruise terminal were cheaper. The dolphin experience was great. The kids loved it. Photo packages are expensive and while they use nice DLSR cameras, the resolution on the pictures you get isn't great. 5x7 to 8x10 prints at best. The included lunch package was pretty good. Service was excellent. Access to the beach and snorkeling was good. Restrooms were clean. Swimming with sting rays was included, and a great experience. The bird and reptile experience was pretty good. I own a macaw and the ones they had for pictures weren't in the best of health but well behaved and good for pics. Overall, we felt safe. We had a good time, and a memorable experience.

This was part of an excursion from our cruise ship. It was busy but they did a fairly good job of getting us in the water. Everyone in the group got to hold the dolphins fin while he swims. The dolphin then pushes on your foot while you hold onto a swim board. The experience was fantastic. Then you get to the pictures. They wanted $300 for the picture because there was 5 of us. This is outrageous in my opinion. No other place we went to charged this much for pictures

  • 5/5 Michael H. 11 months ago on Google
Absolutely fantastic experience. Do not buy from touts as it will be more expensive 🫰 than from the venue itself. There are three tiers of ticketing available

Wonderful place! Bring change for tip money and money for photos. The experience is Wonderful and the animals they have. They have lockers and changing rooms. Running streams to rinse off. Fun for all ages!

My daughter and her cousins enjoy being at Dolphin Cove Ochi Rios. The experience was lovely. Our lifeguard Ronaldo was a very pleasant and patient young man with the children. Overall this is a great family outing and I know for sure I will be taking my daughter again soon.

90+ minute bus ride then an hour wait in line. I paid full price, over $600+ to swim with dolphins with my family of 5. They wouldn’t allow me within 200 yards to stand by and take pictures of my 6 year olds first time with dolphins because I didn’t want to get in the water. I do not recommend this place! This is my view.

  • 5/5 Kevin S. 4 months ago on Google
They do a good job with large groups. They keep you moving through the different parts of the program so as to be on time. Oh, and the dolphins are pretty spectacular too.

I went March 3 2024. It was a beautiful experience. I enjoyed my time. The first thing that really captivated me was the love birds. They flew down on us and started eating from our hands. The dolphins was cool also. The pool and jacuzzi was nice too. My children enjoyed the slide. The staff were friendly and nice. The only negative was the beach had some rock stones which hurt my feet. The cost of the food was not bad an it was a good amount. I would give them 9/10. I would definitely go back.
