My son was getting his first pet and he wanted birds, the reps were extremely helpful in helping us choose the cage, accessories and the birds. They even informed us about feeding time and how often to change the water. Sadly I didn't get their names but I am very grateful for their assistance.

If I could give no stars I would. Never have I been to an establishment and experienced such dishonesty. My brother wanted to purchase two female guinea pigs for his boys. Before going he called and asked if they had any female guinea pigs and he was told, "yes". He asked the cost he was told,  "$1600ea."  They had one male and six females. They only had 2 females luckily for us and we found this out after calling the boys to have them choose the ones they wanted. He was ready to pay they told him that it was $3000ea because they were Peruvian guinea pigs. Please note, on the guinea pigs cage there are two signs - "do not pet rabbits or guinea pigs" and the other "guinea pigs $1610 each". There were no other signs with this $3000 price. The manager was called and she said it's the only Peruvian she has. When we asked to speak to her directly we were told, " no". To add insult to injury the guinea pigs were actually American guinea pigs that have short hair. If the boys didnt already see and expected them, we would have left. But just for the boys he made the purchase and decided against the other things he wanted to get. But we definitely will never go there again. EVER!

The staff is very helpful, they are my go to place locally, as I have two dogs, a German shepherd and a pomeranian mix. I ended up getting two fishes for my kids today, the attendant was nice, I was will to spend.

A fairly comprehensive array of products for the common Jamaican household pets. Such as dogs, cats, fish, birds etc. I went and got an E Collar for my cat for a reasonable price. The shop has a distinct odor that maybe unbearable to some but anywhere with live animals around is bound to carry a scent.

Do you have any Gerbils at this time and what is the price for the hamster and for the gerbils

Trust me if you want to learn about pets especially birds ,just visit hobby hut pet shop I could not tell the Male from the female when it come on to love birds, I have been to other stores to buy love birds and they said if was Male and female but they never yet lay one egg so I changed pet shop and visited hobby hut and buy a pair of love birds they tell me everything I need to know now my boxes are filled with eggs and am also getting baby love birds now thank you hobby hut.

I really needed cat litter and they had it. The price was okay and the staff's were very friendly and helpful.

Staffs are nonchalant and not willing to assist at all. On top of that I purchased a hamster for my son on Friday and on Saturday the hamster gave birth and ate the babies, total traumatizing experience for a kid. Called to speak with a supervisor on Monday and she adv me that there is no way for them to have known that the hamster was pregnant... total bs, they should atleast have some basic knowledge about the pets they are selling. Would give zero star but, that was not an option.

Most recent purchases are sharks (long lived and raised) and koi fishes. These are my favourites. I really dont have a bad review for this store because I always get good service and recommendations. Just wishes I could get some turtles.

I love the variety of pets and pets products offered and the excellent customer service. What I dislike the overall condition of the place. It has really aged and very messy and in need of a facelift, but I suppose the quality customer service kinda force you not to notice the spider webs in the ceiling. If you want a pet, this store is worth the visit.

Went to Hobby Hut yesterday for the first time. They have some beautiful fish, and fish accessories. Their customer service was good as well. Our server was an hearing impaired young lady, she was so polite and patient, big up and soon be back!😁

Not a great place to shop if you’re serious about keeping an aquarium. The fish are kept in suboptimal conditions, which could prove to cause health problems later down the line for them; it’s not unlikely that you could buy a sick fish without knowing it. That’s a major cause for concern because not only would you waste your money on a fish that was guaranteed to die, but it could cause major problems for other fish in your tank. Most of the tanks were cramped and not the cleanest, at least one tank had a dead fish in one corner (and the staff seemed to not notice). The betta (fighter fish) were kept in small containers filled with dirty, stagnant water that had dust and bugs floating on the surface. They had several types of fish in conditions that are bad for their species. Their supplies aren’t awful, I’ll give them that. They have pretty much everything you’d need to get your tank started, though some of it is a bit pricey. All in all, I’d recommend you seek more reputable retailers for all things aquarium.

I like how spacious and Jungly the place is...the variety and price is ok.i just need for them to place a sign not too low because I'm over 6 feet tall outside above the entrance door.but it is a fabulous place to shop for pets and associated stuff.

Did you know you cannot mix certain fish? The workers were very helpful on explaining what fish you can mix in your aquarium. Parrots, fish, etc are superb!!! I recommend....

They are stocked, but the staff doesn't really interact with you unless you interact with them. They aren't very pleasant either. They take really long to open the doors. Their guinnes pigs aren't looked after either because they were all bitten up with wounds. But, they are stocked as I said before.

They should get a 10. Went to look for the hamsters. They had some rare ones, with red eyes. Service was exceptional

Reasonably good range of pet equipment though some items overpriced. Staff are not rude as such, just have very poor customer service skills, barely interact with customers, seemed to think they were being employed to just sit about, knew very little about the stock/inventory or animals. Really off-putting. Unlikely to shop there again. Toss-up trying to decide if theyr'e any better than the Liguanea branch. Both dreadful customer service.

I found toys for my new kitten here that she's enjoying. Shopped at Hobby Hut many years ago. So I wasn't surprised to find what I wanted. The young lady was ready to assist

Fish, birds and rabbits were in abundance. Customer service was good. I stopped by for cat flea powder which they didn't have in stock.

Wonderful as always but,the other stores are now closing. So there is only one left in kingston,and thats the one in Springs Plaza.

Excellent Service and products

Good selection of fishes and other small pets. The male wotkers were very polite. I would have given 3 and a half stars if I could. I had to wait a while before being assisted but at no fault of the workers. There were more customers than workers. I think more workers should be present on Saturdays.

The animals are beautiful.... customer service was poor... there was no warm welcome from the store.... the workers did not seem to give us much reccomendations as needed for taking care of a bird, buying the right bird cage and cage accessories, and we did not get a warm thanks for shopping. Customer service needs improvement and workers seemed sad and not jovial and welcoming. I say three stars just for the beautiful animals and had quality supplies but customer service allowed a loss of 2 stars.
