Went this morning (April 8, 2021) for their 6am opening time as posted on their website; they didn't open until 6:15am which was irritating. However I was out by 6:45. No lines, just walked up to the cashier.

I have been shopping around over the years (Megamart, Progressive/Shoppers Fair, MasterMac, wholesales and Pricemart. My verdict is that Pricemart is NOT the most affordable place to shop as most people make it out to be. I have divided the prices per item count and compared it with the other stores to see the price difference and in most cases the price is more expensive - even if it’s close, it’s more. Now there are definitely some things you can get more of for less… so it’s not all that bad. The other “benefit” is that it’s easier to pick up a case of something rather than several of the same thing - I mean it’s a benefit if you’re lazy like me. The other irritant is that you have to pay for their membership - I don’t get how that’s a benefit - Paying for a card to pay more for grocery. I suppose you’ll reap the benefit of the card knowing that you can use it with other businesses and get discounts. Parking is always terrible every visit. I hope the Portmore Location will help in that regard… I’m doubting it… but I hope it does.

Jamaica's COSTCO. Best place for buying items in a larger pack size. Ideal for persons who like to buy for the month or have a family. Prices are comparable and better than most. Variety is good and has wide variety of stock. The Deli is also nice to get some grub from.

Pricesmart is Membership shopping in Kingston with great variety, good wholesale prices, and great pastries. They have recently added a wide assortment of childrens, ladies and men clothing items. I also love the Deli located inside where they serve Pizza, fried chicken, french fries, turkey bake (my favorite), soda (cups and a drink dispenser so you can drink all you want.)

I do not think this establishment values customer service. I think they need some competition like Cosco or Walmart to set up establishment in Jamaica. I had to walk out leaving my hand picked goods at the cash register after my interaction with an ill mannered cashier. Her communication was plain disrespectful and she failed to properly address a minor misunderstanding with my membership. I took a screenshot of my membership info because i was without data to actually sign in. And instead of politely communicating the challenge and providing an alternative solution, she began to flicker up her nose and nonchalantly repeating " you affi sign in the app" each time I try to ask a question. With great disgust, I would never step back my foot in this establishment!!!!

Always a place you can depend on to get your weekly or monthly groceries. Goods are sell in bulk. They always have some lovely pastries.

I gave 2 stars because of the customer service i received today. While i was being checked out, my cashier was busy chatting up a storm with her cashier mate. I never appreciated the lack of attention i received. While trying to ask multiple questions and being shunned at every question or barely answering or not being loud enough i had to ask her to repeat herself multiple times. Liken listen girl it takes nothing at all to be nice. I wasnt feeling very well and i didnt take out my frustration in you if anything i was being super friendly to you but i said nothing because i really wasn't in a good mood. I wouldnt like to have said this but maybe if my skin colour was different or my accent was different i would have received better treatment. See my trolly below a no beg me come de come beg!

I bought member select orange juice which is normally fresh squeeze and good but this time I saw that they have a gallon size as opposed to the liter, so I thought great for me as I would have to pick up multiple bottles. But it turned out that the gallon size are spoiled. Long and short of it is that I’ve been trying to get in touch with customer service and I’m unable to. Not a good feeling

Suddenly their hours have been reduced to 9am-7pm, basically unless for working people. So i ordered online and selected delivery, which used to be free. No mention of that changing, no communication from them about my order, it finally showed up but I was charged over $1,000 for delivery. One item didn't even come, again no communication was given on that either. I will be thinking carefully about renewing/paying for my membership after this.

I like the new parking structure, more space and at some level, the rain doesn't affect you. Pleasant staff all around. Even when packed, space is sufficient. Everything you need (in bulk too) is right here

I am shopping with them from the first day they open. I didn't know there is a spot checking at the door ?I am not a young person I have two trellises of things which my husband was with me. and I was asked to open my hand bag .so I gladly do so. but it makes me think aloud ???.

It reminds me of Costco in New York, I wish they have more vegetarian food though otherwise it's a good environment.👍🏼🙂

You can always find quality items for your home at good prices. Shopping here is usually a pleasure when not in a rush. Beware of the month end and holiday weekend lines. Trying out the click and go next!

This is a 10/10 experience. I know how ill be shopping for my regular items going forward. I made and error in my order and the return was quick. They refunded the difference to my card 3 days later. Awesome.

Good prices for items you need to buy in bulk. Also where you need household items for which the best quality is not the most important thing then PriceSmart's store brand may be sufficient for you. Don't expect a wide variety of brands for most items. That is because if the nature if the business. It is a wholesale.

Shopping experience was good except they seem to be short on some regular items. I wonder though why isn't there a sign to remind you that your personal possession such as my handbag will be searched when Leaving, I find it so wrong and getting in my personal space.

Great place to find affordable essential items in bulk. Often times crowded but the cashiers are extremely efficient. It also has a food court will excellent prices in comparison to other fast food places.

They are lacking in the "variety" department. & do your calculations first, their products aren't always cheaper... nonetheless, I've always received very good customer service from the employees, they're very helpful

I always love a clean place even if it's crowded. If you like bulk shipping this is the place to be. They don't sell a whole heap of brands variety but the brands they sell are top of the line brands. They also have their own brand called Members Select.

One stop shop. It's close to home and conveniently stocked with all you need in one place. Despite the several cashiers, it's often tedious lines to cash and exit. Friendly and helpful staff. Some items when they goes out of stock TAKES too long to restock.

Friendly and fast customer service experience, very busy store. Clean and staff are constantly restocking the sales floor. Register lines are long, however cashiers does a great job of helping keep the lines moving.

Pricesmart is a great members shopping club. They have a wide variety of products. I decided to try their jerk pork, I would not recommend it, rather I would buy pork to cook at home. The jerk pork was terrible.

Why is the store so hot? The people handing out samples were fanning themselves with paper. It was an awful shopping experience. The only reason I'm not giving it one-star was because I got what I came there to buy and it was relatively easy to find. But please Pricesmart fix the AC situation in the store. It shouldn't be hot inside the building.

It's easy to find the store, good parking is available and the store is wheelchair accessible. Shop here for the entire family as mostly bulk items are available. The pastries and fried chicken taste great.

A members club that has a wide variety of items (such as a Sam's Club or BJ's in the States). Some items you have to get it while you see it because not all items are restocked. Staff is friendly and generally helpful, lines are usually long so go early, although a new branch just opened in Portmore so that has helped to offset the volumes of people. There is a cafeteria that sells food (pizza, chicken, salads, slices of cake etc). You can purchase whole cakes and have them write on it as well, prefect for birthdays or functions. (Edited review): Pricesmart still remains all of the above-mentioned, however, it seems that management has fallen off (please see pics attached). The Pricesmart truck blocks off the road inside to pack them with goods (they used to pull up to the side so that cars could pass, now they literally just block the road). Garbage is all over the road inside, merchandisers are all over the place inside and you have to be maneuvering between them and the other customers, staff loud or cussing each other. It really is not a nice shopping experience anymore.

Lovely place to shop. I saw great deals on multiple products such as paper towel, liquid soap and fabric softener. I was happy to have access to their wifi. Bathroom was clean and I appreciated the standard they uphold. The grapes and apples were obviously not fresh. They were moldy and brown looking respectively. Not fresh as they usually are.

Great location for one-stop shopping, everything under one roof, even clothes available. Ample parking (during holidays chaotic traffic and parking) and long opening hours. They also offer online shopping and delivery. Their prices are competitive, some items may be more than other places in the city but overall not expensive for the convenience and variety. The negative, need a card to shop and the cost is quoted in $US, this can be prohibitive for some people considering the country's economic conditions.

I have never had to look so hard for someone who works in a store before. I love shopping here the deals are very good. Lots of parking. The last time I went the the grapes where not good quality grapes.

If you need it, they have it. Membership is required though so be prepared to do a registration on your first visit and annual renewals. I’ve been a member over 10 years and I don’t plan on changing that any time soon. They stock a wide selection of top class products at unmatched prices. Be prepared for a wait at the registers or you can take advantage of their online ordering and delivery or curbside pickup.

I had not been to PriceSmart for the longest while being out of the country and or living in other parts of the country. And so, when I when there I was pleasantly surprised to see how they had expanded and rearranged parking and the entrance/exit. Same great shopping experience with savings on most things.

Went early. Reached at 6:45. Joined line. Multiple sanitizing stations. But once in, no problem. There was no line at the cashier when checking out. That was the great benefit of going early.

Pricesmart is primarily bulk shopping which is great for large families and intensive savings etc. However, they are still lacking with their processes. When you do click and go, they rarely select fresh items/produce. Almost as if they give you the worst. Even inside the things are spoiling or close dated and they still have them on shelves.
