Mediocre at best. Not sure if the kitchen was short-staffed, but the food was lack-lustre. The fries were the best part of the meal. The Philly steak bun was dry and the peppers were raw. The ribs were fall off the bone, but the sauce was heavy on vinegar and the ribs must have been cooked in the oven. The looked like they never saw a grill. The gravy on the poutine was lacking flavour and tasted slightly burnt.

Everything about this restaurant was wonderful. Both my friend and I had excellent meals, and the service was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend this as a place to eat when visiting Prince Edward Island. I had the roast, turkey poutine, and it was absolutely delicious.

Hunter’s Ale House (Hunter’s to those who know it best) opened July 27th 2005 on the corner of Kent and Prince Street, an Island owned and operated by professionals who strive to exceed the expectations of their guests in a pub atmosphere. My friend had the fish and chips, and I had the BBQ Chicken Nachos (party for one size)....both were delicious 😋

Solid pub experience, first time ever visiting and I had the dinner feature which was a BLT wrap with soup. The restaurant was fairly clean. Staff seemed friendly, and our server Isabel was great! Portions were very large. Chicken was a bit dry on a few dishes though. Patio was lovely

Hunter’s Ale house for their Burger Battle entry, the Crispy Chicarron burger with a shared Dill Pickle poutine shared between us. The burger’s were really good! Caroline liked it, I loved it. Especially that pork belly, and the burger itself! And that Dill Pickle poutine was too much for us both and ended up going home as takeaway. Chips sprinkled with something akin to dill salt and vinegar popcorn topping, immersed in a lovely dill sauce with fresh herbs, onion, pickle bits and cheese. Lovely if you like dill, and Caroline loves it! I enjoyed it quite a bit, and we are both happy to have sampled the limited time offer before it disappears off of the menu. We shared a deep fried mars bar for dessert. I found it a bit rich, which didn’t stop us from almost licking the plate clean. :) Good food, good company and good service from Olivia! P.s. Their signature Philly Cheesesteak sandwich is amazing.

Curry poutine and carrot cake were amazing! I appreciate how they packed the curry and most toppings separate so by the time I walked back to my hotel the fries were not soggy! I would eat this all the time if I lived here!

Got the 10oz strip steak special. Portion was huge, steak was a perfect medium and service was great. Would go back again.

Burger not worth it, extremely dry and tasteless meat, old bun. The place is a bit dirty. Fries are very good, generous portions, decent nachos, I would go back for them.

The mashed potatoes were the best part of my meal. The fish was dry and the scallops were on the verge of being over cooked. They were also slimy in their breading. The coleslaw does deserve honourable mention. The fries although crispy on the outside were dry inside..... Perhaps overcooked? The burger was lack luster. Should have gone to a fast food joint and the burger and fries would have been just as good. However if you are looking for a place to sit and drink, come on down. If you want to eat, find another stop.

The location was the best selling point for this place. The patio seating is good, could have been better with more comfortable chairs (they use light plastic chairs). We ordered both sweet yam and regular fries which came with a mayonnaise dip and ketchup. The fries were well cooked but we waited for almost 15 minutes for the extra dip that we ordered(thanks to our server who paid least attention to us) The classic nachos that we ordered were amazing. Came with 2 salsa and sour cream. Overall, food was good but the service was very poor. We went on 31st August and our table number was 63. Our server Bailey was more interested in talking to other guests, asking, explaining and telling them what all they can try, but when it came to us, we personally felt being left out. She could have asked or suggested something for my 8 year old, or about our preferences, but nothing of that sort. We would like to go back to eat but if there is the same server, I would definitely walk out from there.

Check the food wait walking in ! Think I went on a bad Kitchen night as food took over 90 minutes sadly for a simple vegetarian burger and poutine. I ordered the Potato vegetarian burger but it was charred & bland . Even my bajan hot sauce I carry couldn’t save it :( please Chef Throw some old Bay seasoning in it? The server was very apologetic so I felt sorry for him but having to get drive through now on the way home is pretty sad for PEI a foodiesville. Cider and poutine was good though and patio was pleasant.

Really upsetting place …………A friend recommended this restaurant which is open after 9:33pm. The outdoor restaurant tables were all empty. The second floor is not open either. It's May 21st. Not less than a busy season. It is not a tourist season either. Whether locals or foreigners come to travel. Find a restaurant or bistro. There is not a very good fit here. Standing in the doorway, there are empty tables everywhere. The doorman at the restaurant said that the government does not allow the door to be opened outdoors. It's hard to find a restaurant when you first land in Charlottetown. Really confusing trip. Charlottetown's restaurant rules are also peculiar. The second floor is not open. The outdoors are not open.🤣🤣🤣🤣

Waitress was lovely. We had the tub tub poutine and the steak and stuffing poutine. Delicious!

This is my go to spot when visiting PEI. The food is delish. We had the pulled pork sandwich (and yes that's what it actually says on the menu. We also had the fish tacos which were hands down the best fish tacos we've had. The staff were all very nice to deal with and so many beautiful ladies and handsome fellas (that was just an added perk). Would strongly recommend eating here and I'll be back the next time I'm in PEI.

Was very hungry on a Sunday late night after long day trip. Someone recommended Hunter and wow food really is super sized here!!! Music Is little too Loud, Actually I did left the place and came back and waitress was nice enough to turn down the speaker for us. Better to sit outside I say and wow I ordered the fish talko? I nearly miss that on the big menu, thank God I ordered it. The BEST FISH TACOS EVER!!! 🌮 🌮 🌮 SUPER SIZED with 3 BIG scoop of mashed 🥔 🥔 🥔!!! Thought i was hungry but only manged to eat one of each. Still good the next day!!!! Best 20 bucks ever spent on PUB food!!!

Service and atmosphere was pretty decent. The curry mussels were perfectly cooked. The rare steak was done as requested and well timed.

We had such a great time at this restaurant. The food and service and atmosphere was spot-on. Definitely looking to go back again.

Had the "variety bowl" I think it was called the bong bowl, something like that. It came with chicken fingers chicken wings, mozzarella sticks, deep fried pepperoni, onion rings & awesome.e nachos. I think it was around $30ish & there was a ton of food. The food was yummy. We took a bunch home. The waiters and managers were very friendly, asked us how the food was. I'd definitely go back
