This place is great fun, don't get me wrong, but it could be a lot better. There aren't enough staff, everything is a little worn, signage isn't clear, food options are very limited, the lockers only accept tokens and the machine that gives out tokens only works with SOME coins. The park seems giant but is in fact mostly empty grass. Meanwhile there are some good waterslides and a rollercoaster for kids and some fun buildings to walk through and two different sets of pedal boats and a petting farm.

Busy, but lots of options for every age and adventure level. Long lines for the water slides but they moved fairly well. Food is insanely expensive so bring your own if you can. Full coolers, wagons, umbrellas etc are all allowed in.

A great little attraction lots to do for all ages. The tandem tube waterslide is the best way to go. There is a beavertails cafe on site and a coffee shop as well as a shaved ice cafe and a candy store near the entrance.

Great place for young kids, not too many rides or slides, but fun. The swamp shack needs repairs. Only got pics of the rides, forgot the slides.

Seriously, who is giving this place five stars? You need to explore real high quality facilities so you understand the difference. Must be locals who have never left the island. We just took our family of five with three young teenagers to this facility as part of their first visit to PEI. We are thankful that kids are easy to please since they had fun but as the adults paying for this experience, it was an embarrassing place to visit. We can’t do better in Atlantic Canada? Unreal. First, regardless of whether the adults plan to use their water slides or other “attractions”, you pay. Cost us $160 to have access to four water slides, only two of which were suited to the older kids and adults. And a small, overcrowded pool. Nice. Numerous on site activities were not operating like the castle, a small ride that looked like a pseudo roller coaster and the mirror maze to name a few. This is unacceptable especially for those with younger kids, and the staff make no mention of this when you are paying for your ticket. They have a pathetic canteen, limited food options, lounges are dirty and old, and in general the property is run down and in disrepair. Most buildings need a good coat of paint and it simply comes off as a blatant example of gouging the customer while management does nothing to invest in or improve their facility. Save your money. Go elsewhere.

Great time. The staff were nice. The restaurant needs more staff. There was lots in the kitchen but the wait times were longer than they should be with 3 menu items. The waterslides were great. The male life guard with the red hair was awesome with the kids when they stayed till the end of the day playing marco polo with them at the pool We will come back again

Place needs a major update. A lot of attractions not working. Tubes deflating. Not enough double tubes at all which cause awful wait times. Animals seem very sad. I really like this place it has so much potential and hate to see it becoming so run down. Miss the moonshine shack man. The coin machine for the lockers did not work for us which we had to track down a worker for coins since it took our money. Loved the water slides, should add a few more tube slides!

Our first time here and it was great!! Some of the rides weren’t operating but it’s okay, we spent most of our time on the water slides and roller coaster. Soooo much fun, our girls didn’t want to leave! We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in PEI.

It's a great place to go for some family fun. The line ups can get long on a warn day. I wish our grandson could have gone on the bigger slides, but he wasn't tall enough. He would have been fine with a parent... oh well. Another year.

Lots of great stuff for the whole family to enjoy. Overall a great time. The outskirts of the park are completely run down though. The path through the woods near the little castle is so overgrown it's barely passable in spots and the statues/structures are all falling apart and fading. The path near the slanted house isn't as bad, but still feels very neglected. The 4 question puzzle search is all but destroyed and neglected. The main area is very nice however and makes it worth a visit. It would be nice to have more attractions closer to the main gate so you're not carrying everything 3/4 of a kilometer from your vehicle to the water park.

Love it!!! I had an incredible time at Shining Waters! The water park exceeded all my expectations, and I have to mention Marvin, one of their outstanding workers. His customer service skills were top-notch, and he went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a fantastic experience. I believe Marvin truly deserves recognition for his dedication and hard work, and I strongly recommend Shining Waters to give him a well-deserved raise. I can't wait to visit again and relive the unforgettable moments!

My son, grandson( 14) daughter in law and visited on Sunday. Along with another woman and her 12 year old . The first thing I noticed was how far the park was from the entrance. I have slight mobility issues. So this was not a comfortable walk. And the pool left a lot to be desired. A lot smaller then I expected. Now the boys and the other adults had a great time on the slides. Especially " the bowl". But again this was something I couldn't take part in.. the boys also had fun in the animal shelter. The bath/ change room was ok.. it was clean and somewhat spacious. And it was handicap accessible. There was also a shelter out of the sun that you could eat. Not very big though. Six or 8 tables. I didn't go in there. The lifeguards though young seems well trained. At least for minor things.. not sure in a real emergency. To sum it up.. I won't be back. But the rest are planning a return.

The water slide is really a lot of fun and I would recommend it just for this. The unfortunate part was a lot of attractions were closed. The roller coaster was fun for the kids but it broke while we were there. Luckily they had it working again after a short spell. There are very limited food vendors so I would recommend packing a picnic lunch. All in all we had a great day here, the water slide being everyone's favorite attraction.

we visited the wax museum and Ripleys. if you have been to Niagara, likely won't enjoy the wax museum. found some exhibits were missing or incomplete. the quality was not what I was expecting.

This place is just total fun. Although water slide are few. But still good place to spend quality time with family and friends.

Really fun time with water park rides as well as a small roller coaster and other attractions. I would say the park is not really suited for teens other than the main water park. There is a small water park for toddlers, which my 3 year old loved. If you buy tickets in advance there is a discount.

Very fun but fairly pricy, worth the cost due to the sheer number of things to do it'll definitely keep you entertained for at least 3-4 hours only other thing is, long waits for slides which of course they're are. The slides are ginormous, when a kid looks at that park they don't see the park they just see the obsurdly large slides and want to go, the wait's about 5-6 minutes at the worst of times but the slides usually last about 30-50 seconds each so well worth the wait, there are also tubes and double tubes you to take on the slides

Great fun for the kids. And the young lady (Isable)? That works in the bever tail food area was superb. I watched her I tracking with several kids and she was so helpful to them. She repeatedly went beyond in making sure they were good to go with their food orders.

It's a great place for families. Lots of things for kids to do. We had a great day. Recommend it for a must go to place while in Cavendish.

Has something for all ages. Busy but not overwhelmingly so. You can take your own food and drinks into the park.

Great experience with the family! Fun for all ages, I would say for a water park there should be more water slides. The lines can be very long. There are lots of others rides too but if your going with toddlers make sure to measure if they’re under 39in they won’t be allowed on majority of rides but they do have a little kids pool area with two small water slides.

This is the most fun my family & I have had in FOREVER!!!! They have fast slides, slow slides, theme park rides, a petting zoo & so so much more. I absolutely recommend this, easily enough to entertain a family for one day.

We visited here in July 2022. We loved the water slides (although it was a long wait), and the roller coaster. The reason for the 3 stars. The park needs to figure out what it wants to be. Either refresh the extremely dated parts or get rid of them and have more water rides. a water park or a ride park. The swamp shack, mirror maze, the castle and a few others were either out of order or incredibly dated.
