We truly enjoyed our stay st the Cavendish KOA. It was a nice campground with a really friendly and helpful staff that went out of their way to make sure we were pleased with our stay. We were there close to the end of the season and it was very peaceful. Also, the campground is located in a great spot on the island allowing for good access to much of the surrounding area. We would definitely stay here again in the future and we recommend this facility to you. Update: We are now here for our second stay, July 2019, This time it is peak season and most every campsite is taken yet the staff continues to be as courteous, helpful and friendly as when the park is at minimal capacity. The grounds continue to be well kept and the wash houses are clean. Another good stay.

I cannot think of enough good things to say about this campground. Well spaced, level sites. Clean facilities. Superb staff. Lots of activities for families. Great location near many points of interest, and off the main road a sufficient distance to provide peace and quiet during the nighttime hours. We have only been gone a day and are already missing this place. Looking forward to our next visit!

This was our first experience with a KOA campsite, and I think the bar has now been set very, very high! The staff are super friendly even when they’re busy. There are planned activities for the kids throughout the day - some things are an extra fee but it’s usually only a few dollars. The bounce pillow and big playground were a huge hit with my boys. The site itself was clean and very well maintained. We loved the little cabana that was on our site. We wish we could have spent more time! We will come back for sure!

First time at a KOA and it was fantastic. Can't complain about the price either for $40/night. WiFi was good, my husband thought the bathrooms were amazingly clean. My son loved the jumping pillow, candy bar bingo and wagon ride. This place is super Fab for families and everyone else. We saw lots of retirees, young adults and families. There was a great playground for kids and so many planned activities. We loved talking to our campsite neighbours which made the whole place even more pleasant learning about where people are from. My husband loved that he didn't have to pick up the firewood and they delivered it to our campsite for us! The staff were all really lovely. The location can't be beat as there was a Tim Hortons next door, if we needed groceries, supplies we could drive across the street and the whole street was littered with attractions and restaurants that you just couldn't get bored.

If you enjoy rude customer service well this is the place for you! Just stopped to visit some friends and there kids! From the time I exited my vehicle a blonde lady with glasses was extremely rude and not polite at all. Checked in to visit and then was scolded me for having brought a few coolers with me as a gift to my friends. "Hope you don't plan on drinking and driving!" Is the comment she made as I left. Ah nope it's 12:03 pm ma'am was my reply. Just a brutal welcome to a new place and all uncalled for. We won't recommend or be back for a visit.

It is fully packed during peak season. The camp sites are narrow and so close to each other. The couple good thing about the site are the pretty leveled ground and fully hook up service. But we selected that and paid for. So I wouldn’t consider that as bonus. Some campers are very rude and unhelpful. We went out for dinner and got back to our site around 9pm. We found our picnic table was moved and used by others. And no one bother to move it back to our site. And we did laundry on the second day of our stay, the washer and dryer are extremely outdated, no estimate time shown on any machines. We set up the dryer and left. Came back 40 mins later, found out that some other camper couldn’t wait a bit, they decided to pulled out our dried cleaned clothes and left on the public used table. I confronted the lady who did that, she said someone told her to do so. We all know there is no such “someone”. I was extremely disappointed about this rude behavior. Will I ever come back again? Probably not.

The campground itself is lovely. The owners are also lovely people. It is very clean and well kept. Pull through sites could use some leveling but all in all a good stay

Can't I give it 10 stars? Loved it. Kay made it so much fun. She seems to love her work. Would stay there anytime. Great for kids

After arriving earlier, they were not only accommodating but went beyond in getting me a quality site. Met Lindsay the owner on site and was impressed with the care and genuine interest in me and made sure I was satisfied with my site. The staff from beginning to end were outstanding. The grounds were clean and quiet dispute the amount of campers and families who were there. Even other campers were easygoing and pleasant. Sincerely, Richard

Campground is overall a great campground. Very family friendly a great place for kids. I’ve been to a lot of campgrounds and the washrooms here were by far the cleanest I’ve ever seen. Good access to shinning waters, and a few other little places. Only issues were - sites are too close together, our tent site was too small and our tents were pretty much touching our neighbours, 0 privacy from them. They parked their car for the night which was 2-3 feet from our fire pit. - for 2 hours after quiet time the people across from us were still blasting music and being very loud - fire wood was extremely damp and would hardly burn Other than that had a great stay and will definitely be back again!

Cavendish KOA was one of the highlights of our trip to Prince Edward Island. We got a patio site in the “rich” section 🙂 that was the best furnish site I’ve ever enjoyed. Tables, Weber Grill and a wooden swing. At one point I had an electrical problem (my fault) and was assisted by none other than the owner, Matthew. He not only took care of us but arranged (at great length) our ability to stay on that site longer than we anticipated. After meeting Matthew he would stop in during our ten day visit to check in with us and tell us all about the island which he grew up on. This KOA is a paradise for kids but what most impressed me was the staff. They loved their job with the kids and it showed. This KOA is walking distance to great restaurants and a short drive to the beach and everything Anne of Green Gables. Well done guys, you won my heart.

Came her for the second year in a row with the family. Kids have a blast every time with lots for them to run around and do along with the different events each evening. Sites are clean and a good size. Not far from beautiful Cavendish beach

We really enjoyed our three day stay. Bathrooms were clean. Better seating in shower for changing clothes would be nice. Small issue. Tent sites need elevated pad or similar. We were flooded in our tent. Also numbering of lots needs to be clearer. Overall was a great visit. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Cavendish KAO was probably the nicest campground I’ve ever stayed at. It was so clean and well maintained and the employees are so friendly and caring. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful bike trail from Cavendish to North Rustico, amazing views! 14km each way

Very clean and nice KOA. I love that our entire spot was grass. All the interactions I had with the park staff was awesome. They were all so friendly. We messed up the online reservation and arrived a day earlier than we reserved. They were able to fix the reservation with no issues. Would definitely return, and recommend. It is also very very close to town, but far enough from the main road. A definite bonus.

Not worth the money. If you want visitors after 9 they will rudely chase them away and make them feel like criminals and will likely call the police on your guests. Horrible customer service. Pick a different place folks. So many other gorgeous choices on the island owned by reputable people. Reminded me of a nursing home.

Great place to stay! The owner was very helpful with all of our questions, easy to navigate the campground sites, easy pull through sites, close to many attractions but far enough from the road it's nice and quiet. Nicely maintained grass and sites.
