The food is good but not outstanding like reviews seem to portray. We shared a 37$ seafood platter but ended up hungry after because there were barely any portion. Our mashed potatoes were dry. Our server was ok but barely smiled and forgot a couple things. No biggie, it’s a busy spot, we get it. I think this place needs a pick-me-up or provide better presentation of their meals. Good desserts !

We had an awesome meal. Food was exceptionally good. And we can't say enough about our server, Jade. She was so accommodating and made us feel welcome. Full of personality and is a definate asset to your establishment. We will definately be back.

It was our first time in the restaurant. We loved the environment, service and food. The waitress made sure we were satisfied. The food was incredibly delicious, especially chowder. Highly recommended.

We were a family of 13, including five children and a baby. A wide variety of food was ordered, with everyone fully enjoying their meal. Especially worth noting is the hot turkey sandwich, turkey club and seafood chowder. Everything was fresh, hot and tasty, with most of it homemade and local. The rolls, both white and whole wheat, are made on-site and seemed like they just came out of the oven. Sorry but you can’t buy a dozen to take home. The servers were friendly and attentive despite how busy the restaurant was. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay for dessert. Having read some of the reviews below, I find it difficult to believe that the writers were in the same place.

Wow what a wonderful experience. After a long trail run we were super hungry. Parking lot busy hoped not a long wait. Fast super friendly service… I really love my peanut butter the waitress went on a man hunt to find me some. With help from her friend they found one. Such a great FUN experience. Thanks all meals should have waitress and cooks like this place.

Overpriced place and price gouging for a child. They charged me $5 for 3 tiny cookie size pancakes (see photos) for my toddler. I had asked nicely if they could do a half portion of pancakes because their adult size pancake plate of $11 would surely be way too big for my 4 year old, I really hate to waste food and we had a long drive back home after so I could not take home the rest. All my daughter wanted was an all-pancake breakfast and their only kids option was a 1 plate of meat, eggs, toast, a looney size pancake (whatever that means) etc so I didn’t order that. When I seen her pancake plate I thought it was a joke and asked her if that was the kid size pancake plate she suggested for $5? For being charged half the price of an adult plate of pancake….and I doubt those 3 little cookie size pancakes are half of what they serve for the regular plate…I felt ripped off and laughed at. My 4 year old daughter did not get the pancake breakfast she wanted, was still hungry obviously and I ended up having to give her both pieces of bread under my egg Benedict. Had I known I would have just ordered her the regular size pancake plate and just have the rest thrown away. Not a good experience for me. Did not like my $20 egg Benedict at all either, if that was at least good….. I swapped the ham for sausage in it and did not like the sausages, the hollandaise sauce and the potatoes were not to my taste either. The 2 poached egg inside is the part I actually enjoyed. Makes me wonder why my camping friends recommended that we go there for breakfast. Will not return.

Came here by recommendation of a college aged tour guide. Liked it as a local favorite. We had high expectations of the seafood but were disappointed. It was a Thursday, early evening in early August. The place wasn’t overly crowded. The exterior looks fun and inviting with great outdoor seating. Service was good but there wasn’t a lot of flexibility with the kitchen staff and special preparation requests. Understandable if they’re busy but they didn’t appear to be. And the request was to use less butter in preparation with one of the meals because of diet restrictions. But, we worked with it anyway. We were very disappointed with the size of the scallops. We know there’s a difference in bay scallops and sea scallops but these were definitely the bay scallops or if they weren’t, very, very small sea scallops. The mashed potatoes were dry. The best thing was the chocolate malt. It looked like other people’s plates of fish and shrimp looked better but we opted for scallops. Had we seen them first, we wouldn’t have.

Dined in for breakfast on Father’s Day. Service was incredible and waitress was very nice. Ordered the strawberry milkshake, side sausages, traditional breakfast, and lobster eggs Benny. I did not know what hollandaise sauce was before I came here, but it was delicious! I think they make theirs with lemon and it was delicious paired with the poached eggs. I’ve never had lobster, I couldn’t quite tell the difference from fresh crab I’ve had but it was definitely fresh and good! Potatoes that came with the meals were decent, seeming typical potatoes for a breakfast restaurant. Needed salt, but hey if you’re trying to cut back on salt then you wouldn’t need any! Heart healthy haha. Traditional breakfast was “pretty good” according to my wife, “better than a typical breakfast diner”. The strawberry milkshake was *heavenly* and we had to order one to-go because we didn’t want to stop drinking it. For reference, that milkshake was 12/10, made my eyes roll back in my head 🤤. Also LGBTQ friendly, felt very safe in PEI overall. 9/10, a bit pricey but breakfast prices were much better than the typical entrees. Would come again.

This is a restaurant that's been in Cavendish for a long time. They have a local reputation that is well deserved as we were referred to this lovely little place by a few people while walking around Cavendish. The food was very good, the service was awesome, and the place was spotless. I would go back anytime. They even sell some of the meat produced on the family farm right at the counter. Just a nice little place to eat.

We came across this store by chance on the way to the scenic spot. We didn't have any expectations, but we were wrong. The food and service were beyond imagination. We are from Ottawa, and will come here next time<3

Great experience. I had the Lobster Benedict. Service was extremely fast, friendly, attentive. Great cost for experience.

The atmosphere and service was good. The food was not good at all especially for the price. I ordered a crispy chicken dinner. The chicken was a frozen chicken slab. The fries were really good. My cousin ordered The hamburger platter. Not much to say about the burger. It was flat and had very little flavour or size. Really disappointing. My husband and other cousin ordered the turkey platter. It looked really good. However it was bland and tasted day old. As if it was the day before l. Can’t prove that just it tasted old. The carrots were not peeled. Not a biggie but they did not look appetizing. Apart from the service (Shirley) who was lovely we were very disappointed. I don’t mind paying a higher price as along as the food is good. That was not the case. I would not go back.

I was on vacation in August and the 1st outing for dinner was at Chez Yvonne's in the Cavendish Tourist area. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. I had the chicken burger and my girls (9 & 12) had the chicken nuggets. My sister and brother-in-law had the soup. All of which were fantastic. I can assure you that when we return to PEI on our next vacation - we will be stopping here for a bite to eat.

I ordered a Caesar with high hopes because I had heard great things about Yvonne's and because I wanted a light faire. I got a basic plate of romaine, what tasted like store bought bacon crumbles, and Kraft dressing. I didn't finish it. Even I can make a basic Caesar dressing from scratch on a bad day and for $6 I could have bought a bagged salad for a better dinner in my hotel room. My partner's meal of a hot turkey sandwich was better but still not really something he enjoyed either. Maybe they smash other dishes out of the park that the locals love and know to order, but what we ordered was just barely cutting it.

We had an amazing dinner tonight while sitting on the deck in the sunshine. Drew was our server and she was very professional, very personable and we were glad to have her for this experience. The meal was really good, drinks refreshing and dessert divine! Thank you!

A cold September, after storm Lee found us in this area looking for places to visit: fortunately the tourists were gone which meant that very few places were open according to this website, gracefully detailing even opening times. We found this place and with only one table taken we were wondering how the food is going to be? The staff was simply amazing and our food was just great: we all had sea food which is so fresh in this area and great value for money. Great place, great staff.

Nothing quite like patio dinning with nothing but clear sky's and good food to enjoy with loved ones! This place has a Phenomenal fish-n-chips and the deserts on the menu are a MUST TRY if you have room in your stomach for it, ha. The service is excellent being fast, efficient and informative. Definitely felt like a great dining place for the whole family, following all the social distancing guidelines, wearing masks and cleaned thoroughly. This is a great fish-n-chips for the Cavendish area and is a very easy spot right off the main street and loads of parking.

We had the best waitress! She was friendly, efficient, and delightful! The food was good... nothing out of this world. I found it a bit expensive. The lady on cash was delightful as well. After some chatting, we found out I was her music teacher for her class in Indian River, my very first year teaching! Also, she is a neighbor to my good friend Theresa! A great afternoon. The only down part was the regular hostess, Lorraine, was off & I would have loved to see her!

Decent brunch, quaint little place, open early! It worked well for us when we needed breakfast before heading on a long drive. We both had the Lobster Benedict and enjoyed the hollandaise sauce and the unique dish (we’re loving anything with lobster on this holiday!), but found the lobster itself quite bland and chewy, perhaps over cooked. When we ordered it, we weren’t asked how done we liked our eggs, but my husband politely asked for hard poached. The server replied, “I think we’re only doing medium right now,” which we found really interesting. If the eggs are being cooked fresh, they should be able to prepare it to the customer’s liking. It wasn’t a big deal, just odd. Meanwhile, I think I overheard a different server asking a family at another table how they’d like their eggs….

Gessica is one of the mostbamazing servers I have ever met! Real honest and hilarious. Coolest I have ever been delighted to have met. I'm sure they are all amazing but that one was cool as hell!! Food was amazing. We had no thoughts of eating there, drove by the went back. So happy we did. Great value as well!

Have eaten here a few times, always been happy with my food and the service, a good place to eat, but it is quite popular so you may have a bit of a wait to get seated.

Very busy when we arrived and the hostess was very accommodating. Food was great and service was quick. Good value and will definitely be back.

Sat on the deck, a bit windy but a nice place to eat. Not overly kid friendly with the menu, at least for my kids who are kind of picky. Service was great. Very nice place.

I ordered the Hamburger Platter with Cheese. Burger was good, but very basic, and definitely overpriced for what you get. The fries on the other hand are very fresh and crispy, which I highly recommend. Service was alright, though at times I felt the table was forgotten and went longer than I might expect for a refill of water. If you want a safe bet for some food, this place is a good stop, though I might recommend ordering seafood instead of the burger.

The attendant was very nice to us! The food is ok BUT overpriced, the 3 stars is because the value for the money... especially the lobster roll is very small for $26.

I can die happy! Lobster roll was delicious - on garlic toasted bread with a generous portion of golden fries. Chowder lovers, you’ll be very happy here too. The food was surpassed only by the excellent staff, who were super friendly and attentive. Thank you for your hospitality!

Been on vacation here in PEI for about two weeks. Ordered the seafood platter. Best meal I've had so far. Server was fantastic. Food and drinks were great. Gluten free options too!

Dined with my family. Every single one of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. To be honest, the best meal we have ever had in a restaurant setting. So good, I forgot to take a picture of my wife’s meal before she devoured it!

🫤 Rediculously over priced. You get a pound of fries and 5 or 6 small pieces of clams for $19. I seriously thought there was a mistake in my order, but nope, you get basically two mouth fulls of clams for almost $20. Get a burger if you come here. It's the only decently priced thing on the menu. Also...
