It was exciting for sure!! Lots of adult things to see. There is every kind of bar you can imagine. The homeless were present, but they were harmless. I never felt in danger. I would not bring kids here that is for sure!! It is a fun place to experience but you probably don't need more than a few days. All of the food was good. Drinks were a little pricy but that's what you do on vacation.

Bourbon Street can be exciting to visit but I feel is not representative at all of the city or the culture. Most locals, that I know tend to avoid Bourbon Street whenever possible. It can be fun but more often is a collection of inebriated folks and those there to try to take advantage of them. Be careful and don’t fall for I know where you got them shoes.

I've always wanted to go to New Orleans and I was not disappointed, as there are several parades every day you will get paraded out eventually, to collect all the beads etc that are thrown from the floats it's a good idea to take a net on a pole, as people book there places along the routes you tend to end up at the back, Charles Street seems to be the main route, mike sure you are on the right side of the road if you want to leave early as the road is closed and there are a few crossing places which are only opened occasionally between floats. If you are going for Mardi Gras in March don't assume it will be warm, make sure you take some warm clothes, it was as low as 4degrees this year also there are many shops selling outfits for dressing up if that's what you want to do.

We took a few hour detour after leaving Graceland on the way to Galveston Texas and stopped in New Orleans. Even in late November it was warm, people were out, and there was a real electricity in the air. We will definitely be back.

NOLA night life is well known for its excitement and fun vibe. But what you may not know that the party goes on all day long from morning to the next morning all week long !

Rowdy and raucous walking street, primarily for those into alcohol culture. Ended up walking through Thursday, Friday, and Saturday on a recent trip in December. Lots of bars and clubs with ridiculously loud, basic music over the speakers. There are some decent restaurants in the area, and it's worth walking through at least once for the experience. Only one really good street performer on the Saturday night. Lots of kids doing drum beats on buckets you can give a dollar to. If you like to drink it may be more enjoyable.

Really great if you don't go in the middle of Mardis Gras. Great sights, rich history, awesome shops, delicious eateries, grand architecture, and so many different cultures of people. It's not all about teenagers getting drunk and acting stupid. The area has so much to offer and see. One of a kind experiences and scenery. If you walk Jackson square on a weekend, the vendors are great. The shops around the square are fantastic with items only found in that area and shops that are the only seller for those shoes, dresses, hats, or art work. I can't even tell you all of the unbelievable food just around the square and down Bourbon St!

My first time ever going to New Orleans Louisiana and yes I went to Bourbon Street. All the sights that I saw was awesome to see you see this stuff on TV but when you see it in real life it is more amazing. And everyone that I met and spoke to was very polite and friendly. Thank you, Pamela Stover

The history in this city is everywhere. Not just in the few actual family owned restaurants but in the buildings themselves. The architectural style is unlike any other city.

Our favorite bar on Bourbon Street! The bourbon milkshake OMG was amazing. I would have never thought to blend bourbon and ice cream, yet to our surprise it was great an easy on the stomach. The oysters was and added bonus. Not the ideal combination, yet well worth it. We can’t wait to go back.

Bourbon Street is interesting. They close the street off at night because it is covered with people. The pictures were taken earlier in the day.

Bourbon Street is a special place, where living is always a party. With several options of bars, restaurants and small gift shops, it is a mandatory stop for everyone visiting New Orleans. You will be pleasantly surprised entering through a small door and encountering gardens, incredible jazz concerts and lots of joy and stories of the City. I loved!

Visited the French qtr during the day. Unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. While some of it is fascinating & quaint, it's very dirty & full of people trying to scam you for money. It's also sad to see so many homeless in the streets. Some of the things you see in daylight might be less obvious at night & the music obviously ramps up & gives it more of a party feel, but I wouldn't feel safe going there at night. Depends what you are there for. I was disappointed.

Hey, early lunch.....sat at the bar....quicker and easier than getting a table. Bartender was great .....gave us samples of their "Bourbon frozen milk punch"....actually quite tasty....had oysters as part of lunch...the largest, freshest oysters I have seen in years.....everything tasted great, everything was clean, definitely a great selection of bourbon, service was great. We will be back.

Fantastic live music at night, even on Monday😀 A bit disappointing during the day when its slightly 'tired', smelly and sleepy.

One of the best places on Earth. At least if you’re a tourist 😅. This is NOLA in early June, 80 degree at night. Always lively and something to see. If you haven’t been; you need to go.

It’s really fun to walk with your friends to see all the new extracurricular stuff. Like this jasmine dancing with a homeless man. And Snake man on a hover board. Very spectacle view

Not just new york, New Orleans also never sleeps and Bourbon Street is the perfect example. You can experience the loud music which not disturbing at all, watching people chilling at every corner of street. You can walk freely on street and can enjoy the booze and food which you can have at ok prices. If you want to get drunk and enjoy at fullest the Bourbon Street is meant for you though the street is quiet dirty and little unmanaged but if you are srubk., that doesn't even matters Can't wait to go again in future

Not the same since the mayor has forced mandates that affect so many of the places we've loved for over 20 years. The crime rate is way up but the main area of Bourbon Street is fine during prime day and evening hours. Don't get gas in NOLA right now as car jacking is more common than reported- even in high traffic gas stations in broad daylight. Things should improve as better leadership comes in. Locals are working hard to keep NOLA great!
