☝️ Follow for more food reviews around the world Food: overall super tasty and cheap. This version is heavier on the fatty but it’s nicely chopped. Definitely finished the whole bowl and more. Ambiance/Queue/Line: wasn’t too long as the they have a nice system of preordering in line and efficient assembly line. Indoor seating with fans/AC! Price: very cheap. Good value! Service: quick and no fuss

Took a page of @migrationology ‘s recent Taipei Vlog series and made an early-morning merry hunt to this super popular, super local joint for Lu Rou Fan. The braised pork served here is considerably fattier so I was literally luxuriating on butter over fragrant rice early in the morning. Flavour was on point and the mouthfeel was just incredible. They have other side dishes you can complement your LRF with such as steamed fish, salted vegetables, double-boiled soups and more. I decided to exercise SOME restraint and got a steamed fish steak with fermented beancurd, stewed cabbage and a braised tofu but knock yourself out.

My very first visit when I was in Taiwan! Famous dish “Lu Rou Fan” at Jin Da Braised pork rice. Vietnamese also have same kind of this traditional dish too! 😋😋 📍Jin Da Braised pork rice - No. 40, Daren St, Sanchong District, New Taipei City, Đài Loan

Best braised pork rice in Taipei Order the small bowl. If you are hungry, then 2 small bowls. The meat to rice ratio is much better!

Came to try to place out because my friends who lived in the area said it’s one of the best! I was not disappointed, the food tastes really good, especially the rice and the soup. The braised pork melts in your mouth as you take each bite. For two people, we only spent $190NTD, which is very cheap since we ordered quite a lot. There was a line, but it went by really fast, so don’t be hesitant to line up! Will definitely come back again

A great solid joint that specialises in 滷肉飯, so fast your food will be following you to your seat!

My favorite dish is the soup 🥣 Overall, it’s super cheap and tastes good, but the environment is not so good, the tray, bowls, and everything are oily😅

We ate 12 braised pork rice at different restaurants while we were in Taiwan. This is easily the best one in terms of the quality and price. Even my kids who normally don't eat rice finish the whole bowl! Prepare to wait in line to order during lunch hours as this is a very popular spot for both the locals and tourists.

It is really famous and often appears in various food reports. All dishes are good, authentic Taiwanese food, people who are not used to greasy or sweet taste may not like it. Frankly, I wouldn't say it has a good environment. The floor is a bit sticky and slippery, so be careful when walking. There is usually a long queue, but not too much time wasted.
