It is a night market that tourist aren't aware of unless you really do your homework online or ask the locals about it. I like how it is very organise as the night Market is one long street down the line. There is food stalls as well as alot of female clothes stores. The food here is awesome. Do try the 快乐地瓜球. It is one of the best I eaten so far. There is also a couple of mango salad store here which is super popular. If you see a queue forming up on a particular store, just join. You won't regret.

I really enjoyed this market. It's very clean and even on friday evening with many people it was easy to walk. I liked the fact there are many vendors for smoothies and juices. The paths where you can walk are broad and separated. There is parking inside the market but you need to pay. Just outside it's maybe a bit crowded but I found it pretty easily. I will come back for sure

As a night market, the location is not that good but it does worth a visit! Order by preference: 1. 阿爸的芋圓 Assort taro sugarcane ice is definitely a must try! Served with different topping but they all very tasty. 2. 泗源炸雞 Transitional style fried chicken, crusty on the outside and juicy on the inside. Hard not to fall in love with this tender but flavorful meat. It’s better than most of the chain stores fired chicken in my opinion. 3. 深海旗魚串 Deep-fried swordfish kebab, with fish eggs inside, which goes well with the meat. Take a bite and you will be surprised. 4. 快樂地瓜球 Fried sweet potato balls. A successful sweet potato ball should have crispy crust but a little chewy to let the yummy sweet potato zest gradually comes out in you mouth. This stand totally nails it! 5. 下港米糕排骨酥 Though its famous for its tube rice pudding, I found that that the braised pork on rice even more tasty. The shredded pork meat is blended in the rice perfectly and the garnish just adds more flavors to it.

I like the food here, not checking the entire place, so next time I visit, I continue searching goods and food.

Many varieties of street food selections I’m the front and right side of the back street. The left side is for non-food. There are also local traditional pinball game stalls for kids. The only problem here is the amount of motorcycles riding and even cars at time. So, watch out for them. I think they should just make it into walking street.

One of my favorite markets in the city. The size is comparable to other big night markets in Taipei and New Taipei City but the variety offers a lot of local dishes so the food choices aren't same-y. The places that sell 蝦仁羹 和 魷魚羹 are very good.

Today a woman selling jewellery tried to rip me off asking for $NT1,200 for a small silver stud earring weighing under 2 grams (silver price is about $NT20 per gram right now and this was a mass produced piece orobably from Thailand). I guess she thought "white guy tourist = easy money". That was today, March 2023. People like her give Taiwan an undeserved bad reputation!!! I have added photos of her and the jewellery to help warn others. Apart from that, great night market, good food choices and a cheap basement pool hall with 15 tables.

Nice night market a short walk from the MRT. We went at 6pm and it was not crowded at all and there was a good variety of shops already open. Lots of men’s and women’s clothing stores, claw machine shops, electronics, shoes, bedding etc. Very nice food variety with a mixture of local, Japanese, pizza, fruit, you name it. Surrounding area is packed with shops and other restaurants.

Good variety of food at this local night market, ranging from saltwater chicken to stinky tofu to oyster cake to bubble tea to bbq chicken to stewed beef brisket and innards to say potato balls to hotplate beef steaks and noodle soups. Loads of shopping and carnival games too. Not touristy, so expect communication in the local language.

It is normal night market, small and easy to navigate. I love all claw machines in Taipei, and this market has so much fun at claw machines. Street food are okay, I love how authentic the food is here, more Taiwanese snack and street food then franchise coffee or bubble tea. This market is mainly in Chinese so please prepare Google translate for yourself.

Great street food and shopping experience for tourists and locals alike. You need to make sure you have plenty of time to explore all it has to offer. Thoroughly enjoyed walking around here and experiencing the local foods. A must when you're in Taipei.

Some solid food options here, though I wish I had a local guide to tell me what the most amazing stuff here was. There is so much to choose from, it's a little overwhelming! I let the queues decide for me often, but didn't try every place with a long line. Everything I got was good, however, and never felt like the food was unsanitary. Can get kind of chaotic on the weekends, however, with motorbikes/scooters weaving and parking between crowds of pedestrians. They don't close it off from traffic, so you will share the road with motor vehicles. At one point a garbage truck even came down the street, though God knows how it made it through. I came here several times however, and never saw an accident. Snowflake shaved ice - loved it and came back to this stand multiple times. It's one of the stands that has an actual seating space so it's always in the same spot (there is a soy milk/fried breadstick place right next to it). The fruit flavors were my favorite; milky mango was #1, with lime sorbet coming in a close 2nd. The ice is super finely shaved and melts on your tongue like snowflakes. Mango syrup was very natural tasting, and amazing with the milky ice and condensed milk. Lime sorbet was wonderful with zest on top. I have no idea what the lady said but somehow we got that option and it was perfect. We also tried grape milky ice, which was tasty but more artificial/candy-like than the others. Didn't try the fresh fruit flavors, but I bet they're good. Skewers - tried a chicken skewer (large flat one with skin on) and another place where you pick the raw skewers and they get grilled to order. Both were freaking great. Skin-on chicken was crispy and schmaltzy, the grill to order skewers were covered in a cumin spice mix that was wonderful. Sweet potato balls - awesome snack. Kind of like a light-as-air pandeyuca but sweet potato flavored. Michelin mentioned mochi - the softest, most delicate mochi I've ever had. Peanut + sesame dusting was good, but the texture is the standout from other mochi I've tried. Stinky tofu - I've never had it before and only tried some of my husband's order. It was very umami, and probably would have tasted even better if I could eat the spicy cabbage and broth that it comes with. Since I can't, I found it only so-so. The smell is pretty off-putting for me, although the taste was alright. I thought it was either sewage or intestines that haven't been cleaned thoroughly enough 😅 Nope, just stinky tofu. Mini creme brulee - so satisfying. One was perfect for 2 people to share after eating a bunch of different things. There were a couple clothing stores that seemed nice (mainly women's fashion). Much less fussy than the stuff I saw in department stores, which seems to be pushing gigantic Amish collars and weird cutesy stuff that I never saw any locals wearing.

Lehua night market has a very large area. Two roads for various kinds of stalls and shops. Visitors can reach it on foot from the Dingxi MRT station or by bus. I really enjoyed the variety of food and games in this night market area.

feels like the choices are dropped after pandemic but the quality of the food are still high... night market is a must-go place in Taipei, if you wanna experience the vibes without stuck in the crowd like other night markets, this is a good option

This is a good non-touristy night market. About a 10-minute walk from MRT. Has a decent selection of food, things to buy, and games. It gets busy on the weekends; especially if nice weather.

one of the more popular night market in taiwan which started from 1970s. less touristy stuff, lots of street food and stuff. quite large in scale. some of the stalls from earlier days have evolved to having their own shops.

As a YongHe resident, I can say that Lehua Night Market is the best place for dinner! My recommendation is Yuan Sushi, which just opened in early March. All sushis are fresh & handmaded per order 👍
