Eco-Tourism Park in Kolkata is an expansive urban park designed to promote eco-tourism in the city. It is the biggest urban park in India and occupies over 475 acres of land. The beauty of the location increases ten folds because of a water body that surrounds the park and forms an island in the middle. It is often visited by picnickers or those who want a quick escape from mundane lives. The beautiful and well-maintained landscape is a perfect retreat for nature lovers. All the facilities provided inside the park are designed to decrease the adverse effects on nature through non-pollution and preservation of the natural landscape. The idea of an Eco-Tourism Park in Kolkata was proposed by Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of the state of West Bengal. HIDCO - Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation of West Bengal coordinated with several departments and brought about the construction of the Eco-Tourism Park in Kolkata. It has three major parts - the ecological zones, the gardens and the recreational zones making it a perfect getaway to relax and unwind. They have some activities that visitors can choose from to suit their requirement. They also have cottages and conference halls that can be rented for personal or business needs. The Eco Park is a beautiful respite from the developing concrete jungle in the city.

Kolkata Eco Park, a verdant oasis nestled in the heart of the bustling city, is a testament to the city's commitment to preserving nature while providing its residents with a refreshing escape from the urban chaos. My recent visit to this enchanting place left me mesmerized, and I can't help but sing its praises. Natural Beauty (★★★★★): From the moment I stepped foot into the park, I was greeted by a mesmerizing blend of lush greenery, pristine water bodies, and an abundance of diverse flora and fauna. The park's landscape design is a testament to thoughtful planning, with its interconnected islands, serene lakes, and meandering pathways that allow visitors to immerse themselves in nature's splendor. The lotus ponds are particularly captivating, and the variety of aquatic birds that call this place home add to the park's overall charm. Biodiversity (★★★★★): Kolkata Eco Park boasts an impressive collection of flora and fauna that not only educates visitors about the rich biodiversity of the region but also creates an immersive experience. The butterfly garden is a delightful spot, where you can witness these beautiful insects in their natural habitat. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the numerous bird species that inhabit the park, making it an ideal spot for avian enthusiasts. Activities (★★★★★): This park is more than just a visual treat; it offers a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages. Boating on the lake is a serene experience, and the children's play area and the toy train ride are perfect for families. The park also hosts cultural events and exhibitions, making it a hub for both nature lovers and culture enthusiasts. Cleanliness and Maintenance (★★★★★): What truly stood out during my visit was the impeccable cleanliness and maintenance of the park. The well-manicured gardens, litter-free pathways, and clean restroom facilities reflect the dedication of the park authorities in providing a pristine environment for visitors. Accessibility (★★★★☆): The park is easily accessible by public transportation, making it convenient for both locals and tourists. However, it can get crowded during weekends and holidays, so planning a visit during weekdays is advisable if you prefer a quieter experience. Food and Amenities (★★★★☆): While there are food stalls within the park offering local snacks and refreshments, I recommend bringing your own picnic to truly savor the experience. Additionally, there are souvenir shops where you can purchase eco-friendly products to commemorate your visit. In conclusion, Kolkata Eco Park is a testament to the city's commitment to preserving its natural heritage while providing a haven of tranquility for its residents. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a family looking for a day of fun, or simply seeking a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle, this park has something to offer everyone. Its natural beauty, rich biodiversity, and well-maintained facilities make it a must-visit destination in Kolkata. My visit here was a truly enriching experience, and I can't wait to return to this green paradise.

Eco Park in Kolkata is a sprawling urban park that offers a refreshing escape from the bustling city life and provides a harmonious blend of nature, recreation, and entertainment. As a visitor to this expansive green oasis, I was impressed by its vastness, well-maintained landscapes, and the myriad of activities it offers for people of all ages. The first impression of Eco Park is its sheer size and the abundance of greenery that surrounds it. The park spans over a vast area, making it one of the largest urban parks in India. The beautifully landscaped gardens, lush lawns, and serene lakes create a serene environment that instantly transports visitors into a realm of tranquility. One of the highlights of Eco Park is its diverse range of attractions and recreational facilities. The park offers something for everyone, whether you're a nature lover, fitness enthusiast, or someone seeking family-friendly entertainment. Walking trails meander through the park, providing a scenic path for leisurely strolls or jogging. The park also offers cycling tracks, boat rides on the lake, and even an adventure park with thrilling rides and activities. The park's meticulously maintained gardens showcase a variety of flora and fauna, including colorful flowers, exotic plants, and shady trees. These green spaces provide a serene backdrop for picnics, relaxing under the shade, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature. The well-manicured lawns invite visitors to spread out a blanket and unwind amidst the tranquil surroundings. Eco Park is also home to a large water body known as the Eco Island, which features a replica of the Seven Wonders of the World. This unique attraction allows visitors to explore miniature versions of iconic landmarks from around the globe, adding an element of fascination and education to the park experience. The park's management has ensured that visitors have access to various amenities for their convenience. Clean and well-maintained restroom facilities, food stalls, and seating areas are strategically placed throughout the park. The park's cleanliness and the presence of dedicated staff contribute to a pleasant and enjoyable visit. However, due to its popularity, Eco Park can get crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. It is advisable to plan the visit accordingly and arrive early to secure a good spot and make the most of the park's offerings. In conclusion, Eco Park in Kolkata is a magnificent urban oasis that seamlessly blends nature, recreation, and entertainment. Its vast expanse, well-manicured landscapes, and diverse range of activities make it an ideal destination for individuals, families, and nature enthusiasts. Must visit place. Specially 7 wonders. Go before evening to see both in day and lighting in dark. Ticket 30 per person. Mist park is an another experience. Long and wide lane for walking around Lake. Do lot of photography. No restriction. Visit Japanese garden. Go for water sports. Take on rent two seater bycycle and rome around. Avail train with family to see goom Stn or ride e vehicle. Visit mask park. Lot of eat out junction to hangout. Enter through gate no one RS 30. Exit through gate no 4. Plenty of games on payment. Plenty paid parking available. Take your home made food staff take bedsheet and enjoy your picnic. If you are less than four hire a car to travel because local toto and auto are not behaving fare with fare. Direct Bus connectivity not enough. You have to do break journey. Give one day with your family or friends and spend a memorable time.

Handicraft Fair 2023 ( হস্তশিল্প মেলা ) was amazing. Every district represented unique craftsmanship and you won't be able to resist yourself to stop and appreciate the work of art. Overall great experience. P.S. Please try local food from various districts near the exit point. I particularly loved Nadia (নাদিয়া) District's (জেলার) Doi + Mishti and Calcutta fish cutlet along with duck egg (ডিমের devil).

Nice place but only visit here if the weather is awesome else it won't be worth it . Don't forget to try the double bicycle with your friend or family. The food is expensive here and not good also, also try to visit it at 2:30 pm. It is nice place to have picnic with your family.
