What to do Step By Step:: Part 1 Before coming to Tata I was also reading various comments of other peoples. But after visiting Tata Medical Centre my opinion is as follows 1) You will get good treatment but little costlier as it is private 2) Before coming here book your doctor appoitment thru online or by calling. 3) On the day of appointment go to the main phase 1 building with ur family members and take tag/Band fr patient and 1 attendent.these 2 persons can go inside.other members have to seat in the lobby cannot go inside.so its better to go 2 persons. 4) Then go to the payment counter take one E-token fillup the registration forms give ur category as General Rs.100 or Private Rs.650 as doctor visit fee then deposite cash and wait for doctor.they will call one by one but at least 3/4 hours it will take whether u registered as general or private category. Only difference is if you register as general u will get appoitment of jr doctor instead of sr doctor but u may get some discounted rate in treatments.later senior doctor will see. But if u register as private u will get Sr doctor directly and u will not get any discount. But after doctor visit they will prescrive various tests where general or private category is same as it will go in que system.you have to take e token everytime and do the tests serially one by one 5) Test like ecg, usg, xray ,bloodtest, ecocardiography, memography ,pet ct scan, may take 2 days which can costs arround 50-70 thousands 6) After tht u again take appoitment fr ur doctors where most of the reports will be send directly to the doctors but Pet CT scan reports u will get after 5/6 days which u have to collect from counter.then if u need cd /flim fr Pet ct scan u have to again give Rs.450. 7)After tht consult with ur doctor as per ur booking with the reports and as per doctors advice treatment will continue. 8) if doctor prescribed chemo then u can book fr chemo in advance and attend as per ur date fr chemo and patient can go home after chemo. All the payments can be done through ur ATM card Hope this will help and give a idea about the precedures. And I think this is private hospital u will get good treatment. But if you want to get best treatment in cheap and u have sufficient time u may go to Mumbai Tata. Hospital is very neat & clean For Chemo ### its better to book for daycare.go to phase 1 first floor. You jave to book for daycare fr chemo as per ur date. Then you have to buy chemo medicine from another counter near tht and submit to chemo counter and they will gv chemo through salaine. After chemo u can book for next chemo daycare date and go home. Chemo has a course for say 4/8 chemo or as per doctors prescription. You have to complete the whole course. Then ur chemo course will finish.Sometimes doctor gives chemo before or after surgery. ### Pls see part 2

I work at Tata Medical Center and hence should be able to give an honest review of the place. It is a not for profit organization and serves true to its nature. It has the best doctors in the country who can offer quality treatment to patients in need. This place is patient friendly and has good success rate. The organization has ample restrooms and cafeterias for staff as well as patients families who might visit.

Okay! I want to give some clarity about this hospital as I’m treating my Mom in here. Firstly: The infrastructure is top, undoubtedly with modern concept. Secondly: Maintenance is highly likeable, they clean and hygiene every time, even bathrooms are nicely maintained. Thirdly: I have unique experiences with Stuff behaviour, in my opinion, I have found Phase 1 building’s stuff are more professional, understanding, polite than Phase 2 building stuffs. In phase 2 building, they don’t care to help patient’s problem or there feelings. I’m observing this after coming this building, every stuff from the receptionist, security guards even appointment desk lady behaving unprofessional, doing unnecessary argue, ignoring, making scene with patient’s guardians. When I was asked in reception about our doctor visiting she behaved like we are bagging for treatment or they are treating us for free. Not only me with everyone they behave quite bad. They are more like ( parar mashider addar jaiga ) arguing with each-other, gossiping etc. This all experience from phase 2 building. Fourthly: Most worst thing I’ve experienced is waiting time, waiting like hell!!😭😭 😭 If you go for just an echo then dear you have stay (hell) all day long same for simple ultrasound too. Pathetic experience. Horrible. They don’t care of patients how critical are there situation, still they have to stay long time for their god shake frequent tests. Fifthly: Cost… I don’t know, why they have told me different prices for Pet Ct Scan. At first they told us the charge would be 24k for PET CT SCAN When we came for payment they charged 20k. I know it’s good they charged us less but at first why they mislead the charges I don’t know. 🤷‍♀️ Test charges According me: Ultrasound + Mammogram = rs.2500/- Biopsy = rs. 7,550/- Pet CT Scan = rs. 20,000/- Fish for her = rs. 5,500/- Echo = rs. 1800/- First time OPD charge = rs. 300/- Next time chrages = rs. 150/- Doctor fees are nominal but test are same like other institutes. Sixth: Treatment…. This is our first time treatment in TMC Kolkata soo I wasn’t aware about there how they see and treat different patients general and private wise. I don’t it is which universal rule- general patients will be treated by junior teammates under advice of their senior doctor. Opposite side Private patient’s will be treated by senior doctor at first point. And junior doctor, didn’t know anything beside panicking in my every question!! Soo shameful. I have talk today and requested that we want to talk to senior doctor. Let’s see next time what they do… I’m afraid, they have told me that those junior doctors will give chemo to my mom🫣 I’m not going agree with them.. will have a conversation at next week. Seventh: They will do drama for accepting sasthya sathi card. Like, bed isn’t available, your card isn’t working, blah blah.. happened with some patients. Eighth: attitude is too bad. Overall money is everything, if you have money then don’t make mistake like me to treat here…😔 I’ll update according treatment go on…

One of the best cancer hospital in India, probably the best in eastern India. Well qualified doctors and good staffs. There are 2 categories of treatment, general and private. In General, the treatment cost is very less but you cannot claim health insurance. In private category, you can avail health insurance and the process is swift enough if you run little bit. Overall, you can trust the place and go for cancer treatment. No additional charges apart from an infection control charge of 300 per day. In general category, bed charges are 2100 per day and in private, it is 7000 per day. Doctor consultation charges per day is 1200 in private category. In OPD, for general category consultation charges are 300 and for private it is 700.

Worst hospital for Cancer patients if a person really want to save his/her loved ones. Please go for better options in South India or Delhi I lost my loved one and I saw many who all lost their loved ones due to Hospital mis management & carelessness No immediate Cardiac facilities available for patients who are in ICU really didn't expected this from name of "TATA" THOSE WHO REALLY LOVE THEIR LOVED ONES I HOPE THEY WILL GO FOR BETTER OPTIONS. Treatment quality is really impressive. Good behaviour received from all the doctors. Unfortunately received bad and rude behaviour from front desk stuffs. This rude and bad behaviour I have received in regular basis. Now a days I am going to Tata medical almost for regular basis for my mother’s treatment and observed that it is not only me, almost everyone is receiving bad behaviour from front desk stuffs. I feel that higher management should work on it. Looking forward for your response.

The healing process is very expensive and slow. Surgery is prohibitively costly and the cost is the same for the public as well as the private patients...If you have money and your patient is in the beginning stages, you are able to come here. They wait about 1.5 months to reach a decision, and then they'll give you a date for surgery 1.5 months later, allowing the cancer to spread throughout your entire body. Please refrain from coming here for treatment, support, recommendations, or anything else connected to treatment if the person you are treating is receiving care at another hospital. You simply cannot comprehend how professional TATA Medical is. I share this because I've experienced a lot of issues here. terrible experience

This is the best hospital in terms of faculties. Doctors treat patients like their family member. They talk so politely that it feels like they are like family members. There is a saying that doctors are God. To be honest, when we came here we felt that. Doctors takes all precautions for the welfare of patients. They don't give a single chance to criticize them. If you are looking for a good hospital with good doctors. We could suggest you to proceed your treatment in Tata Medical Centre., just take appointment before visiting.

While I am really not even thinking about Tata’s commitment towards humanity, I feel like a bit more professionalism should he there for the staff working specifically on front ending role. There is absolutely no communication to the patient or it’s parties on timing. For example we are here today for a biopsy, deposited prescription etc. around 90 minutes back. No call, no update. Worst part is I asked 3 times if there is a tentative time when we will be called, their answers are We have no idea as it is managed internally. I don’t think such responses are good. At least, it ill take 2 more hours would have been good.

A good hospital in case you want to rely on just chemotherapy for your loved ones. I would rate it as one of the very few non-commercialized hospitals (kind of non-commercialized to be specific). (Please note that my experience is based on the hematology department of the hospital) Speaking about my experience, the doctors in the hematology department state that the treatment for adults with respect to blood cancer is very limited and even if the patient is free of any other major conditions (such as high blood pressure/ sugar), they cannot undergo bone marrow transplant. All they can do is provide chemo therapy and if it works, it works, and if it doesn't you lose your loved ones. All the innovative treatment techniques for treating blood cancer in adults are primarily restricted to their research papers and not in practice.

Visited the hospital twice , I must say they don't have any sense of care toward the patient, the doctors are very rude , the staff won't let you talk to the doctor, every time they will ask you to do an appointment and the doctor don't explain anything, he will ask for the report and won't accept any report done from outside..they won't provide any senior doctor and will only give appointment according to their time .. won't care if the patient is unwell. We went there with so many hopes but this isn't worth it.. Really disappointed with their services.

A very big hospital with good facilities in Newtown. The campus inside the hospital is very peaceful. You will find a lot of greenary inside. I went there for blood donation and my experience was quite good. The blood centre is completely different from the main building. This place is close to Newtown Police Station and you will get easy communication to Howrah railway station and even to Airport. It might be a little costly when compared to TATA Medical Mumbai. A great initiative by the TATA's.

Best cancer research institute in kolkata. So big area and the hospital area is so clean. There is a canteen for all, and a small cafe to eat or drink. This hospital is one of the most clean hospital. Very nice environment. Staffs behavior is good. The whole area is covered with many of flowers and plants. It's too much eye soothing. Best treatment provided here for cancer.

In this world money is everything. In TATA Medical center,Kolkata general type treatment is 3rd class. Poor management level. They do not give any importance patient family concern. After one n half yr treatment we come to know from another hospital that our patient have 6 months time remain. These type of hospitals are Royal beggar. Shinning environment, garden, floor, large size hospital everything for making people fool. If u have more than required money then u can go there for private treatment. How much money greedy doctors want to live their life in peace. If u are going to choose general treatment then I recommend please don't admit your patient there. In Mumbai, odisha have better hospitals. Good luck for your loved ones.

(Translated by Google) What a bad hospital discipline. If someone comes to see the patient at night, there is no accommodation. And the use of security guards is very bad. What can I say, I went out at night and the security guards did not let me in. My father admitted under Dr. Tarun zindal (urologist)at tata medical centre. He was a gem in tmc. 1stly My father admitted and was treated for 1 week at sushrut at Kalyani, Nadia but the treatment went wrong and sushrut hosp , kalyani told that it's cancer in the bladder. Immediately we transferred to Tata medical, kol and went under treatment of Dr . Tarun zindal . He said that my father's bladder was raptured and urine was spreading in other parts of the body inside. He did surgery and saved my father. Not only that tata medical is one of the premium and rusted hospitals for cancer treatment. Well class equipment, doctors and facilities are available in the hospital. The hospital is located on 13 acres of land in new town , kolkata. Yes if you are going to take an appointment in tmc you have in que and should take a prior appointment over the phone. On the appointment day plz don't forget to take all pre treatment prescription/ docs/I'd proof of the patient (Xerox) with you as the hospital only treats the cancer ill patient. Blood collection centre is also there in the premises. Thanks.

One of the best cancer hospital in south asia. Not only the treatment but also its stuff behavior , internal architecture, greenery environment . Who want to admit must take appointment earlier . For foreign patients the consultation fee is 700 rupi where for indian people its only 150. Most inportant fact you can test all necessary test near its territory. The attendee have a great place to enjoy. Its flowers and birds availability certainly will make joyous.

Giving false positive results of COVID-19 and putting the nation (Bhutan) and its public at panic isn’t a medical etiquette. As per the reviews from other people, it said this hospital is the best but how can the COVID-19 testing labs provide false positive? Is it genuinely giving false positive or just another way to make extra money? Ministry of Health, Bhutan needs to sue for putting people at unnecessary risks.

It is very good hospital for cancer. Before coming here plz make sure that you have appointment. Positive thing is that they don't make unnecessary treatment and test. If u are going to come with MRI test done outside make sure that u have a CD/DVD copy of the same. Communication from howrah railway station is a bit problematic. Only AC-12 bus goes directly to howrah station. Treatment here is not cheap. Swastha sathi card is accepted here. Making payment using UPI is a problematic. Use dabit or credit card.

It's a large well planned hospital with multiple buildings. It has well maintained gardens and a lot of beautiful space around for relatives of patients to sit and wait. The patient lounges are numerous and comfortable. The staff is polite and able to communicate well in English, Hindi as well as Bengali. The cafeteria is large as well with many options on the menu.

Most pathetic concept of medical center to launder as much money from Paitent. The system of paying extra for even report when already a person has paid for the test. Is cheap tactics of theft in the name of Medical Treatment. You have pay 2 rupes for Urinal usage. Pricing at every possible point is theft. In the name of Medical Profession they are stealing.

My mother has stage 1 breast cancer and my father and I came to Tata Medical Ceter to get her checked. Although the doctor was very helpful, and guided us for her treatment. The biggest harassment I faced was by the security staff when we got her for her appointment. Only one visitor is allowed with the patient, which we were of aware of. So when i requested the staff for an extra visitor's band he said no for and when I told him my mother was probably send for the mastectomy (which was scheduled for a later date), the security guy literally laughed at my face. I don't expect any leniency when it comes to the rules, but a little empathy does not hurt especially when you're in a hospital. I have attached the pictures of the security guard (the one in the mask) who was involved in the above incident. I hope the hospital takes some kind of strict action against such inefficient staff.

I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer last December and this year,in February I got operated here. The doctors are like god and the behaviour of them are enough to heal the patients. I was registered under general category and the treatment cost is not so pocket pinching yet they provide quality treatment. If unfortunately, anyone is diagnosed with cancer, don't hesitate and go there. They provide top class treatment within affordable price.

The place obviously has a great infrastructure and system driven approach to the treatment . As you enter you have a simple wrist tag given for a visitor and patient . You can take a token for new registration and fill a form , do get a photocopy of addhar card for an easy fill in and mention the address as per addhar card . They will follow the serial number post registration and will be guided through the general details and then a junior doctor consultation before waiting for your turn for the doctor. Tests are time taking as they follow a 1st cum 1st basis. Prices are cheaper by 30 - 50 % from the main city for the same infrastructure .

Good experience while taking radiation and Doctors are good as well. Problem is only one, to avoid technical issue Tata Medical Center, Kolkata need to arrange more back up system to avoid unusual delay for its huge patient base. Because Patients are used to wait for long time due to machine failure. Staffs are very cooperative and helpful. They are well behaved as well.

Been a regular here since 2020, they offer some advanced quality treatment facilities for cancer treatment. This is a dedicated cancer care centre, and the staff here, doctors and everyone are very much helpful. Also they provide funds for people unable to bear cancer treatment costs. They have 2 categories; private and general, you can avail fund facilities only under the general category only. However, they do not differentiate in terms of care giving for private and general patients. It is just that the costs are higher for the private category. Highly recommended place if you're looking for good cancer care treatment with somewhat lower cost.

This review is from a patient party whose Mom was terminally ill fighting stage 4, was admitted to the hospital( after a long wait for several hours) on Jan 12,2021 and breathed Her last on Jan 14,2021.We were made aware that Her conditon was critical but we were not made aware that a renowned hospital dedicated to treat Cancer could turn out to be another heathcare hubs where ignorance and mis handling of patients are common practice, if bought under notice the Doctor pulls reference to the Western system stating “wish we could have western system in place”.This review is to make others aware so you can reconsider other options and dont end up losing a loved one like this.Few instances for reference- 1. At night there were not enough nurses. The Saline bottle was over and blood started leaking, even after several attempts help was not there for quite sometime.patient was not in a condition to be able to speak/scream( Mom lost that capacity after 2 rounds of chemo) thankfully my brother was around and he kept asking for help for Mom.This happened for 2 nights of the stay. 2.Post lunch,Nurse pressed wrong bed button so Mom was immediately moved from sitting to lay down position resulting in immediate vomiting. If nurses are not aware of bef buttons how can they even trear amd help csncer patients 3.The final day-Mom was given rice tube.Yet they made her wash her mouth with listerine.post rinse she consumed water which mafe her uncomfortable.Doc were saying its ok however the cough n breathing issue that caused was unbearable. 4When asked to help in the situation Doctors were angry and said he told about this and has documentation to show we agreed for this. Finally at 6:30 pm Mom has had enough of it and chose to move on from this life.We lost our mom, I pray and hope no other mom and family suffers , none deserve this.

All process are too complicated and taking too much time even you simple need to know about any minor things if you think about to visit this hospital it will take full day for OPD and if you need boold test again you need one more days to give sample I am not recommended to visit this hospital.

TMC is perhaps the best cancer hospital in this part of the world. International standards are maintained, from therapy to hygiene. Some great doctors are here who have immense knowledge in diagnosis, treatment, study and research. I've learnt and explore so many things from TMC as an intern.
