Highgate
Village
Shopping
Centre
is
a
unique
outdoor
shopping
destination
located
in
Burnaby's
Kingsway
area.
The
mall's
layout
is
designed
in
a
circular
pattern
with
an
open
area
in
the
middle,
surrounded
by
stores
and
services.
Unlike
traditional
indoor
malls,
Highgate
Village
is
an
open-air
shopping
center,
allowing
visitors
to
enjoy
the
fresh
air
while
shopping.
Despite
its
small
size,
Highgate
Village
offers
a
variety
of
stores
and
services.
The
mall
is
anchored
by
a
Save-On-Foods
grocery
store
and
a
Shoppers
Drug
Mart
pharmacy,
but
there
are
also
a
number
of
smaller
specialty
stores
that
cater
to
specific
needs
and
interests.
Some
of
the
standout
stores
include
a
BC
Liquor
Store,
a
Dollarama
discount
store,
and
a
London
Drugs.
The
mall
also
has
several
dining
options,
including
a
Starbucks,
a
Subway,
and
a
Thai
restaurant.
For
those
looking
for
a
quick
bite,
the
mall's
food
court
offers
several
options,
including
a
Chinese
food
stall
and
a
pizza
place.
One
of
the
advantages
of
Highgate
Village's
open-air
design
is
that
there
are
plenty
of
seating
areas
scattered
throughout
the
mall,
making
it
a
comfortable
place
to
spend
time.
The
mall
is
also
well-maintained,
with
clean
and
well-lit
common
areas.
Parking
is
available
on-site,
although
it
can
be
limited
during
peak
hours.
However,
the
mall
is
easily
accessible
by
transit,
with
several
bus
routes
stopping
nearby.
Overall,
my
experiences
at
Highgate
Village
Shopping
Centre
have
been
positive.
While
it
may
be
small
and
lacking
a
roof,
the
mall's
unique
open-air
design
and
variety
of
stores
and
services
make
it
a
convenient
shopping
destination
in
Burnaby's
Kingsway
area.
The
mall
is
well-maintained
and
offers
a
comfortable
and
relaxing
atmosphere
for
visitors.
If
you're
looking
for
a
different
kind
of
shopping
experience,
Highgate
Village
Shopping
Centre
is
definitely
worth
checking
out.
