Just went to Chand's Restaurant in Delta. This restaurant is very popular among the Fijian community. Everything is Halal here and supplied by South Seas. The best part about this restaurant is its prices and options. I simply ordered Fijian Lamb Curry. It came along with Tomato Chutney, Fijian style Daal, Imli Chutney, Papad, Rice and Roti. All I paid was $14.99. The food was extremely delicious and offers a complete meal on budget. They use in house spices and everything is made from scratch. For now its take out only.

Unfortunately I highly do not recommend this place. The food quality price for portion and service are not worth the trip down to Scott Road. Starting with no greeting upon entry given dirty old takeout menu to order from that were apparently not up-to-date and prices were raised from what was printed. Very hot seating area, stuffy. Lady didn't really seem to care that we had came in and was really hasty with us. We ordered the chicken curry which was not fully cooked. Pieces were rock hard and hard to chew. Did not taste like authentic Fijian Indian food. We also ordered some veggie curries, same issue. This was our second try hoping it would be different.

Was craving Dahl (Lentil Soup) from Chand's so we ordered their thali for dinner & omgoodness I forgot how good & filling it is! I got the Vegetarian Thali which included Khattar (Fijian Jackfruit Curry), Dahl, Rice, 2 Rotis, 1 Papadum, Tomato Chutney & what I would guess to be a Tamarind Sauce. Everything was so deliciously prepared. As much as I love their Dahl, my favourite was the Khattar! This easily made two meals for me. The rest of the family ordered either the Lamb Thali or the Chicken Thali. I tried the Lamb Curry & it was so tender & super flavourful. Best of all the Thalis are reasonably priced at about $15. Tell me, where can you get a deal like that?! @inspiringfoodie

I ordered take here today and I'm so amazed by the experience. They really care about providing excellent customer service. While I was ordering, they took the time to reassure me that they wouldn't make it spicy as my partner and I don't do well with spice. And upon pick up, I had my dog with me in the car and the guy offered to bring my order out to my car so I wouldn't have to leave my dog alone. My dog has separation anxiety, so I thought this gesture was so kind and helpful in my situation. We ordered Chicken Curry Thali and Lamb Curry Thali. The food here is always so amazing! They have big portions, and the price is super reasonable. I'm so glad this place reopened. This is probably my favorite place to eat in Surrey!

Amazing experience! If you thought gourmet kitchen will leave you hungry, think again. You should skip several meals before visiting this amazing restaurant. Everything is so tasty, you cannot restraint yourself from having all of the dishes. Friendly staff and the rates were reasonable (portions huge). Highly recommended.

My husband ordered from here while on our trip in Vancouver because the family wanted some Fijian food. We ordered a few different curries & fried items, the staff went above & beyond for us. True authentic taste, the fried Cassava was amazing & their Imli Chutney was out of this world! We will for sure order from here the next time we are in town. Tasted like a home cooked meal.

Had to wait for pickup because they were busy but the food was great. Staff were nice and gave a free item due to the wait. Really recommend the fried fish and fried cassava appetizers. The Fijian curries were also very good, we had the lamb.

Definitely the best chicken palau I have eaten. Seriously it was the best. Was craving for the authentic Fijian style chicken palau and to my utter surprise, it was really good. Certainly recommend it. Not forgetting, the lamb curry dhal rice was awesome as well. Portions are really big as well. Thank you Chand's restaurant for a great meal.

This is the best Fijian Indian food you can get! The service is amazing and everyone is so nice. If you have the chance, please eat here and support!! You won’t regret it :)

Delicious food every time we order and always large portions! Very friendly service as well. Make you feel like family! Personal favorites are the chicken and lamb chow meins.

This is one of my favorite restaurants, been eating here for only a few months now but I am absolutely in love with the food here and the service I get everytime I come. Just ordered tonight as well and everything is perfect as always I have ordered here maybe 20 times in the last 2 months or so. If you crave Amazing fijian food this is the place. It reminds me of my aunts home cooking. I dont get to eat her food all the time anymore so this place feels like home to me. Tonight I had the lamb chow mein. Chili chicken and lamb lamb fried rice. The portion sizes are massive and wish more restaurants served this size. This place is perfect. A thousand Thank yous to veenal and Irene Chand! Keep up the amazing food and service!
