Sora is a well hidden gem with a owner who cares about his craft. The fish is fresh and portions are generous, all at a fantastic cost. I've been here twice and both times been pleasantly surprised. You can tell by talking to the chef that he is proud of his work and the pride is well deserved. If you want a no frills place that focuses on quality sushi and sashimi, this is where you want to go.

This place is the definition of a hidden gem. The rolls are amazing and sashimi is so fresh with a thick cut. But the best thing is: the portion size. They’re cheap yet the portion is so huge it surprises me every time. Not to mention the service is super nice and friendly. Try them out if you can and support this local business :)

Just ordered takeout from here. Can't get over how thick the fish cuts are. Really tasty and good portions. Cheap price for what you get. Friendly staff.

We were walking back to our apartment on a Wednesday evening and decided to call in an order for take out. We expected it to take 15-20 minutes, but didn't realize we were so close and decided to check to see if it was ready after only about 10 minutes. Sure enough, since it was slow, they were just finishing packaging it up for us. It is a cute little place and the staff were super friendly and we were chatting it up while they finished our order. When we got back, we were shocked at the size of the rolls. Being from California we are used to something smaller and more expensive, so seeing these massive rolls made us realize we definitely ordered too much. At the price point this place is an incredible deal. The sushi itself was also really good, high quality fish, beautifully prepared. The veggie roll was a lot of fun for our toddler and for us. If we are ever back in New Westminster we will definitely be back.

Very friendly people, Good price and big portions. Only issue was my own fault. I should have read where it said the Philadelphia roll is salmon tempura. Not a fan of that part. Next time I'll get something else or ask them to not cook it lol

Finally had time to check out this place. My new favourite place to get sushi take out in New West. Their rolls are very good, Jellyfish roll was interesting! Sashimi is the freshest in the neighbourhood. Will definitely go out of my way to get their fish. The quality here is much better than the two across the street. They listened to my note in my take out order & managed to fit the rolls all together. Great for less waste & takeout containers. Owners are friendly & service is fast.

Our favorite sushi place in the neighborhood! Always fresh, consistent, generously portioned. We noticed the price has gone up a little recently but totally understandable as we love this place so much, don’t want them closing because they lose money from such cheap prices lol

Came from the Midwest of the US on a road trip and the restaurant was within walking distance to the hotel. The cashier was very friendly and they had our rolls out quickly. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend #63.

Bit of a hole-in-the-wall sushi spot across from Douglas College. It seems to be geared mainly for takeout but they do have some seating if you care to dine-in after placing your order at the counter. There's self-serve areas for utensils and tea. Options here are fairly simple and classic. I've had a variety of nigiri here and they were all pretty good. Nice buttery toro. The negitoro and BC roll were also pretty good.

Good and fresh. Nice size rolls not to big and not to small. Spicy tuna Don was excellent balance of spice. So many places drown the tuna in sauce so you can not taste the tuna any more. Would definitely try again.

First time coming here today, I just couldn't give up trying this place. Definitely a gem in New Westminster if your looking for fresh good sushi at a fair price. Definitely will make this place one if my "must visit" places whenever I'm in New Westminster looking for fresh sushi. I highly recommend you try this place. The chef and cashier (wife/lady) are nice and friendly.

Fresh generous portion. I spend the same amount else where I maybe lucky to get half of what they offer here. Also it’s good quality. Will definitely my New Westminster to go Sushi place! Again the portion and taste just blew me away!!

I’ve walked past this place a million times on my way to Douglas College and I never thought to stop in until today - and it was great! The portion sizes were large and the lady and chef up front were both very friendly.

First time ordering from there through Uber after so much disappointment from other sushi places around new west downtown. Very decent chunky portion. I am so full now :)

My new "go-to" in New West, quality of ingredients is very good, and pricing is fair...one star off as the sashimi and rolls weren't cut consistently and a little sloppy to eat.
