It's just an outstanding coffee shop in Uptown New West. Great staff. Items always fresh. Reasonably priced and amazing coffee and desserts!! I have tried so much on their menu, and I am blown away . Saw a sign saying best desserts in New West, and I would definitely say it's the best I've tried and such an incredible selection. It is always busy when I go in, so get there early if you are looking for a spot to dine in!

Just came back from this lovely place, after hanging out for a couple hours. I wish I had gone sooner and discovered this place earlier; this cafe is so cute, warm ambiance and friendly staff. I also picked up a scone (which was yummy), my matcha latte was divine, and I brought home cakes for my family. Definitely a local gem!

We were looking for a coffee shop on Google almost all coffee shops were closed and this on the list was closing soon. So we picked this place and was ready to drive at 9 pm when we picked this place Google said it closes in hour and we were happy😃. We rushed to this place and I found they have wonderful assortment of pastries as well. This was not expected at all. They give 3 pastries in $12 another surprise element so I picked up 3 Praline chocolate, mango coconut moose cake and strawberry rhubarb shortcake. I have had the praline chocolate pastry it taste amazing 😋. The cake is moist chocolate not too sweet not too bitter and coconut and hazelnut gives the right balance 😋.They have good breakfast menu as well I need to try that next time. Service was also excellent. I would recommend this place for coffee lovers and pastry lovers too.

Such a wonderful cafe and service. Very nice lattes, baked goods (scones are to die for), breakfast sandwich and cakes. There were occasions where they took our latte order as they were about to close for the day - much appreciated. We’ve always had a positive customer service experience, and the wait time is short. Love the atmosphere with the black tiles in the kitchen area and art displayed throughout the cafe. Always happy to visit!

A small cafe with tasty cakes and rose latte. The service is great as well and the staff are friendly. We usually only take one cup of coffee but take two today as it is really good. A must try cafe.

Great service. Sometimes the barista do extra mile to serve your drink/food on your table which is very nice. I really like how they make my breve style matcha latte, so yummy. Their breakfast food tasted fresh and their cake (esp. the tiramisu) was also good. Ever since we discovered this local cafe, it has been our late night hang out place with my husband and sometimes my mom. They closes most days at 10pm (which is a plus) and also it's just a walking distance from us. Visit this awesome local cafe if you are looking for a late coffee drink (aside from the fastfood coffees) in New Westminster or if you just looking for local cafes around New Westminster.

Great addition to the neighbourhood. Flavor Balance Espresso Bar has delicious and well-priced breakfast options, sandwiches, and pastries. The egg and bacon breakfast sandwich is a must try! We also enjoyed their Thai iced tea and iced americano. We'll be back, next time for dine-in.

They got the beans! 😇🤩 It felt like we were having coffee in Rome. They customized my cappuccino request and that was really sweet of them. A perfect balance of flavors as the restaurant's name suggests. The best cafe in New Westminster for decadent desserts too. 🥰 Also, their home deliveries come with style.

I have been coming to Flavour Balance every once in a while and they never disappoint. I tried an Espresso float for the first time today and it was so good!! The balance between the coffee and ice-cream is just perfect, not too strong but not too sweet. My dad ordered a latte and the latte art is always so pretty. The owners are super accommodating as my dad doesn’t like his bacon grilled cheese sandwich too toasted so they made it not as toasted for him. But I love mine super crispy and toasted. (not shown as I finished it too quickly)

Happen to be in the neighborhood and. Got mango coconut mousse cake, tuxedo, and strawberry short cake. The cake are pretty good! Not too sweet. Nice and smooth. Very good deal and fair price as well. Wish it’s close to my house.

We tried their pastries and coffee. Very smooth coffee and very reasonable prices. Dessert pastries are balanced and not too sweet, which I like. So glad to see this independent coffee shop in the neighborhood.

I couldn’t taste any flavor due to the owner’s POKER FACE. I dropped by in a snowy day and received the same cold reception. I ordered coffee and food, when they’re ready, the owner just left it at the counter or dropped it on my table then left, without saying any word. This happened since the moment I was ordering. I was shocked and actually felt so uncomfortable!! In contrast, the owner treated other white people in a nice way. So, I CAME HERE NOT ONLY TO PAY & TIP THE FOOD BUT A DISCRIMINATE TREAT . 总结，中国的小伙伴们，这家店似乎不太欢迎你们。

I am always on the lookout for good cafes to get laptop work done in (including focused work and calls). Flavor Balance gets all of it right, the ambience, power outlets, seating, caring customer service, nice neighbourhood. Extra perk: Their desserts are phenomenal.

World’s best grilled cheese. Very reasonable price and amazing taste! Their apple turnover and scones are yummy as well

This cafe is a hidden gem in New Westminster! I've been coming here for weeks now to do some work and study (their hours are incredible!). The environment is great, and they have plugs for your devices in case you're running low on battery. Their food and drinks are delicious, and their cakes are great gifts to bring home to family or friends when you need. Owners are kind and do a wonderful job running this small business. If you're needing a coffee or a drink, I promise coming here will be worth the money you'd be wasting at the Waves or Starbucks nearby!

We should be so lucky to have a cafe in uptown that’s committed to their customers and doing things right when serving up flavourful coffee with a mix of savory and sweet options. Such a great spot only a few minutes from my place. They use my favourite beans (Milano) and have such great pastries too. We also always grab a grilled cheese since they add garlic to the bread which is fantastic. I love dropping by for a nice coffee to begin my day!

This place is my favourite coffee shop in new west. Not only is the coffee great, they have great baked goods, and the staff/owners are lovely. If you need a fancy cake for a small gathering, theirs are beautiful and tasty. To top it off they are one of few businesses in the city open late.

In addition to having excellent coffee and top-notch pastries (their cheesecake is incredible), Flavor Balance has become one of the most vibrant community hubs in Uptown New West. It's a place where people come to meet, to talk, and to make friends. It's also a great place to work: bright & cheerful, with chill jazz standards playing and well-appointed electrical outlets by tables, should you need them. Shirley and Charles make their customers really feel welcome and at home.

They always have great cute cakes. My favourite is tiramisu. Mango passion mousse and strawberry cake are so pretty. I shared with friends and everyone liked them. And always feel welcomed and everyone are friendly.

I found my new favorite little gem. The place is tiny though, but they made the best latte I had!!! I am so happy they had lactose free milk, because in general, milk tastes better for coffee. The pastries are yummy. Also, the service is super friendly and accommodating. 10/10 my favorite cafe right now.

Really nice drinks and the sandwiches are so well-balanced and refreshing to eat! They also have lovely cakes. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. The space is on the smaller side, but there is still good seating. And location is great since its near royal city centre (and is a central location accessible by many buses).

This place rules! Open till 11pm most nights! Yes please.... their cakes are little works of art and taste just as good as they look. Their coffee selection is great and they definitely care and it shows!

I was driving in the area and notice this cafe and decided to check it out. Standing in line reading g the labels and thought this is interesting. I decided to order three cakes as other pastries to go. My husband and I loved it!! The service was very friendly as well and nice atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating available. Big thumbs up to this espresso bar, I will be returning probably religiously. Will also be ordering birthday cakes from here from now on.

Best in town. Home made and fresh, and delicious 😋 I can't believe if there's anyone could give bad comments. Pls give fair reviews and be kind to people who deserve it. In my opinion, that their coffee even better than St@rb@<ks! For those people who are living in New West, I highly recommend their homemade cookies 🍪 😋 , and Bacon and Egg Sandwich . For those who like Dessert their cake are yummy, Best Cake in town, not overly sweet just perfect to make your day more enjoyable.
