This is the only sushi place that actually deserves five stars. And when you try Modo once, you realize that all sushi that you ate before was missing something and just was not it. Modo, amazing ambiance, fantastic food, super lovely staff. The best for sure.

Arigatou ありがとう ! Incredible sushi joint with a chilled, cosy and aesthetically pleasing minimalist setting and nice vibe serving up super tasty grub! The staff here also ensure that you have a great experience and are fantastic people and very talented. We are so blessed to have good sushi all around Vancouver. The freshness, quality, consistency and flavor of everything we had was rad and super yummy. The perfect balance of chewy, crunchy and aromatic tasting. The level of detail was awesome, combo'd with the sweet value for money makes this one of my best experiences and I'm totally stoked to return! Rolls are super fat, stuffed with wholesome fresh ingredients and crazy delicious, Takoyaki たこ焼き and Edamame 枝 was perfectly seasoned and not too much overkill. The Shiitake Roll 椎茸 was a completely new experience for me and I loved it. The Unagi Roll うなぎ was the showstopper and just outright delicious! Support local businesses!

I found the legit restaurant. This is like sushi in all its glory. The Sashimi is ridiculously soft. Just melt in your mouth! Oshi sushi is my favorite one. It’s like really smokey. It goes down so easy. You‘ve got to try this. One more, all staffs are so kind, sweet. Everything in this restaurant made me happy. I would definitely come back here.

This is my fav sushi place and I recommend it all the time. The menu prices went up in May (which obviously made me sad) but I enjoy the dining location and lots of parking and the service is always attentive and I get recognition as a regular and it feels like a homey kitchen to me now. Love it! Be nice to the servers please! They are fabulous!!

Super fresh and super friendly servers. Highly recommend. They found out it was my birthday and sent us complimentary miso soup. We were told as servers they can’t do much but a miso soup is something they can do. They have a huge selection of rolls. The sushi and sashimi is fresh. I was pleasantly surprised with the deep fried salmon salad - the batter wasn’t too thick, it was super crispy and the salmon was perfectly cooked.

Nice selection of special rolls. We had the captain crunch roll and spicy salmon roll. One of the more affordable rolls on the menu but tasted pleasantly good. The salmon is fresh. My husband enjoyed the salmon Kama. Overall very friendly service and the table is very spacious. We were seated in the booths and it was perfect. Didn't feel cramped. Will be coming back here.

Nice, tasty sushi at decent prices. Staff were pleasant, prompt, and welcoming. The restaurant is newly renovated and has a comfortable, simple ambiance. Family vibe, not too pretentious. The house roll is really yummy! Other traditional favourites like salmon avocado also very fresh and quality ingredients. Glad this has opened up in my hood. Will be back with friends!

A great sushi place in a small town! Got the aburi platter, spider roll, no. 8 roll, chef's special, Saba sime aburi and Hamachi nirgiri. The beef aburi was very tender and delicious! And the scallop aburi is amazing and fresh! Definitely recommend here for sushi if you happen to be around port Moody!

On my return commute I decided to do a take out for dinner. Energetic and friendly staff, clean interior, Nice and fresh ingredients. Amazing presentation even in a take-out container; I thought this would be awesome to be enjoyed in nearby parks and really feel like you are treating yourself. Couldn't ask for more from a sushi restaurant. Can't wait to try dining in.

Reasonably priced and delicious sushi and dishes. They plated their food nicely even in takeout boxes. The portion is on the small side but the taste and presentation would offset that. The deep fried Ebi Mayo is a surprise with wasabi mayo and sweet rice cake at the bottom. I’ve ordered take out two times now and would like to visit this restaurant in person.

Have you try Sushi Modo in Port Moody yet? This is their second location which has been opened in July this year. Simple and elegant interior is a fresh start. You won't be disappointed in Sushi Modo. What are you waiting for

I can’t say much more than the food is fantastic at Sushi Modo. It’s definitely worth trying some of the dishes you don’t see in your usual sushi restaurant, such as the black cod appetizer, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. The staff were also really keen to please. It’s a bit more expensive than your average sushi place, but then this isn’t an average restaurant! Will definitely be back.

Quite atmosphere each time I visit here - which I love. Relaxing to eat and talk with your party while enjoying a great sushi! Veg options are available for those who are vegetarian such as tofu teriyaki, veg tempura etc. Gluten free options are available as well. Lastly, there is plenty of parking that is free! So, just being your butt over and enjoy a good food with professional staff!

Sushi Modo is a charming Japanese restaurant in the city with a cozy ambiance. The staff is friendly and attentive, making the dining experience enjoyable. The Ocean Roll is a must-try, made with crispy salmon tempura, cucumber, and creamy avocado. It’s delicious and satisfying. The Caterpillar Roll, creatively presented with avocado slices, was delicious, but not as impressive as the Ocean Roll. If you‘re not into sushi, the Chicken Bento is a tasty option with well-cooked teriyaki chicken, veggies, rice, and a salad. Will be coming back here!

Been back here a couple of times! Exploring different food each time .. now that I’m preggy, I’m glad I still have a wide variety of choices here! First time trying the Black cod - the fish itself it’s cooked perfectly! Wish the portion can b la lil tad bigger, or if they could make it a set with soup and rice! The salmon Kama is equally amazing!

This is our absolute favourite sushi place in Port Moody. Staff is friendly and fast. The food is by far the best sushi in the Tricities- especially love their Salmon Oshi and Rainbow Roll.

We've been to the Edmonds locations various times and enjoyed our meal every time. This time we visited the PoCo location for a late night snack as they were opened till midnight! This location is much bigger than the Edmonds location which would make the wait times shorter during peak hours. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and were presented nicely. The Futomaki rolls and the nigiri was well made and passed the chopsticks test (yes, they didn't fall apart when picked up with chopsticks). The chef and waitress were super friendly (caveat that we were one of the two tables seated at the time). We gave extra tips for their attentiveness and friendliness.

Wow, great sushi at a really good price. The spicy Tuna Roll was delicious, I ordered without cucumbers and the Okaya Don was delicious. Have to scrape the skin off the chicken but some skin is good. Atmosphere is excellent with a clean surrounding and nice music. Good prices as well.

A great sushi place. We loved all of their food. Friendly staff. Only downside was the whole restaurant was very cold during the dine in.
