What do you do when you have a really good meal at a diner near your hotel, go back for breakfast! Originally my goal was not eat more than 1 meal at each establishment while visiting NYC for my first time - I mean, like there so many to choose from. I enjoyed my diner enough I broke my own rule and was glad I did. While I was still trying to come to grips with NYC prices, I felt like I was getting good deal here when considering the quality of the food, service and diner in general. In the dinner photo, you will notice that my wife had a salad, oddly enough a number of my french fries kept disappearing. The chocolate chip pancakes from breakfast were my daughter's. She asked for some whipped cream to go with them and as you can see, they were generous with the add on. Great place, give a try some time.

This place was amazing, it truly blew us away on many levels. First, the food was very good, even the coffee, and especially the french fries. Second, the service was amazingly fast, like nothing I've ever seen... literally our food was on the table 2 minutes after ordering, like they were reading our minds. And it wasn't just a one-time thing, we ate here 3 straight days during our visit to Manhattan, with super fast service every day. Finally, the staff was super friendly, especially Javier, Alex, and Steve. They made us feel like we were the only ones there, yet I saw them treating other tables exactly the same way. If you're reading this don't hesitate to pick Times Square Diner & Grill to eat!

This place was absolutely fantastic. We went here after a day out in New York, and we were thoroughly impressed. Firstly, the staff are super friendly and served us quickly. The food also arrived promptly and the meal sizes were large and absolutely delicious. I’d recommend the steak sandwich in particular. The place generally has a nice vibe too. The only criticism is that they didn’t have Coke Zero and some of the cushioned seat areas are a little tight, so you may want to avoid those if you’re tall! However, overall this place was excellent and I’d definitely come back!

We chose this Diner as our first official New York breakfast, cause it was pretty close to our hotel and it has high ratings. I ordered the egg Benedict with Turkey bacon and hash browns. Everything was good except for the hash browns, they tasted a little disappointing. The staff was excellent, though. They’re very energetic and welcoming.

We needed a big breakfast before driving home and this seemed like a good place to try based upon the ratings. We were very satisfied with our choice! It's not very big (I'm guessing ~60 patrons can eat at one time) and reminds you of a diner from the 70s with booths and seats at the counter. The food was freshly prepared and the portions were huge! The pancakes were fluffy, poached eggs perfectly done, home fries that had great flavor, soft French toast, and homemade spicy sausage! 😋 The staff were very friendly and attentive. I will say the prices were a bit higher than I expected (with a generous tip breakfast for 3 was $100), but I definitely feel we got our money's worth!

The menu ranges from hearty breakfast options to burgers and desserts. We had breakfast here, and it was the best meal of our trip. Absolutely amazing! Very flavorful. The fruit was mouthwatering and very fresh. The staff exemplifies exceptional hospitality. Attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, they make you feel right at home. They are prompt with orders and go the extra mile to ensure your dining experience is seamless. With its delightful atmosphere, exquisite cuisine, and top-notch service, it stands as a beacon of culinary excellence in the heart of New York City. It's only a short walk from the center of Times Square.

We loved this eatery! It was right around the corner from our hotel and we ate there twice because it was so good and such a lively place. Huge portions that were delicious comfort food that one one would expect from a NYC diner. Just go and don't mind a bit of a wait to get seated. They keep the line moving and serve you quick, but not rushed. 5 stars!

We were staying across the street and we stopped in after a long day of sight seeing. The place has a cool 70's decor and has a true old time diner feel to it. The kids ordered the waffle and I got the BBQ bacon cheeseburger. Everyone was happy with their food - and everyone loved my fries! Overall it was a great experience and I'd recommend you stop by if you need a quick diner type experience while midtown NYC.

Dinnertime-quick service. Staff was very friendly. Food came out quickly and correct. Portions are huge! My 16 yr old son ordered the Greek Chicken Wrap and couldn't finish it. The Mac n cheese is home made. My wife really enjoyed the Rueben. My BLT was delicious!

The service in the place is very good. The staff is very friendly. We visited the place two times, we tried the veggie omelette and the chocolate chip pancakes. The veggie omelette was good and cooked well with rating of 8.5/10, but the chocolate chip pancakes were normal and didn’t like the dough texture, rating 6/10.

What a fun little spot! On the edge of time square, so it's not the cheapest in the world but it really wasn't unreasonable at all. The Cuban sandwich was fantastic and well portioned. The side of macaroni and cheese is absolutely incredible. It was a tad dry on top, but that's because the fresh melted cheese all fell to the bottom. Mix it up and it's the best tasting thing in the city. I would definitely go back again to try more things.

This diner left a wonderful impression on me for being a first time customer. I appreciated them asking for vaccination cards from everyone. Even though it was packed we were quickly seated. The waiter was attentive and the food was absolutely amazing! There were four people at the table. We had so much food on our plate/table it looked like we needed to add another table. Great food for the price! Not one complaint from me. I highly recommend and I'll definitely will come back.

Well lit, but my order for chicken gyro was very weird...it came stuffed with some french fries and huge chunks of chicken that were spiced with oregano and other spices. So it was very heavy meal. My spouse picked a better choice, the plain Caesar salad. It was a large portion.

A hidden gem in Times Square! Great food, fast service and hard working employees. I came here several times during my stay in the city and had no complaints. Their menu is vast and everything I had was delicious. Definitely making this a staple whenever I visit NYC!

had a quick visit to NYC and decided to make this the first stop for breakfast. I chose this place and had it on my Google to do list for a few weeks because of the interior design. I thought it was really nice and low to mid century modern. Definitely did not disappoint because the atmosphere inside of the diner was really cute. The waiter that took care of us at the bar was extremely kind, very friendly and helpful. The food was pretty good. I personally wasn’t blown away by my French toast (it tasted like the grill a bit) - I thought it was a little bit high, but considering it is New York, and this was in a very touristy area I think it was fair enough. It’s a nice stop to consider for sure.

Amazing! Traditional yet not too typical American diner. Service was exceptional and friendly as our server quickly greeted us and food and drinks were cleared as soon as we finished, all with great attitude. Food was cooked quickly, tasted great, portions were more than adequate and the presentation was not sloppy. Traditional recipes were not just the same old, but custom ingredients were added. Stuffed french toast is a must try and so is the fresh-squeezed oj. The atmosphere was inviting and retro-like. It was a full house without a cramped feeling or sacrifice in service quality. Location was within walking distance from our hotel in Times Square. Premises appeared accessibility friendly. Price was affordable and value was great. Overall we felt welcome and appreciated.

Stopped here for brunch and was seated within 10 minutes. Able to order breakfast and lunch all day. We ordered a mixture and pricing was not bad for our order. Emiadio was our waiter and he was absolutely fantastic. He memorized our order and remained attentive the entire time. Bus boy was also fantastic. Options for indoor or outdoor dinning. We ate inside. Burger was delicious, pancakes huge and wings were tasty too. Fries with gravy were just ok - should have gotten the fries plain. No complaints. Food was great!

There are both average and great menu options. Overall the food tasted nice and none of our mixed party of kids and adults had any complaints. The service was fantastic. They are attentive and efficient and offer helpful advise. We liked the s smoked salmon wrap, Athenian Omelet, and Banana Blast French toast. Hot drinks were also pretty good but more variety would be welcome. It's of the very few options around Time Square with great seating and reasonable prices.

Good restaurant with a nostalgia atmosphere. Service was good during a busy time. We had an omelet with home fries and chocolate chip pancakes. Food tasted good, but price was on the high side. Would recommend, but not for those on a budget. 👍🏼

Order the overloaded breakfast and usual, and requested for extra crisp bacon. The bacon was really good, so crispy and tasty! potato's on the other hand was ok, toast and sunny side were good. The French toast has taste of cinnamon. I really love the ambience and the service staff there. They are friendly and make sure you are in good hands.

What can I say about this place? No frills diners with generous portions in the shortest possible time you can imagine. This was introduced by a friend of mine who saw me visiting NYC for the first time. The space isn't very big but it was packed with people (I assume mainly tourists?) I ordered the classic pancakes which were soft and fluffy and very big in portion (I wanted to finish everything but I'd failed). My friend ordered omelette with potatoes and likewise, he can't finish it as well, as the portion was huge (for Asians living in Asia). Overall highly recommended for people visiting NYC for a hearty breakfast if you are staying within Times Square.

We came here on a Friday evening and was seated right away and once we placed our orders (which the servers memorized (very impressed)) the food was hot and came out very quickly. We got burgers, fries, a bagel, an omelette and a steak sandwich and everyone loved their food! The French fries were some of the best I’ve had out in a long time! Definitely worth getting them as a side! Additionally, all the employees were so nice and the vibe was also nice! Great place to grab a bite to eat near Times Square!

Don’t be discouraged about a line. My wife and I were seated very quickly. Beware, the servings are enormous. We had the roast turkey dinner with side salad. We divided it in half and still took a full portion home. Delicious. Super pleasant staff. Professional and attentive.

Excellent diner good after seeing Hadestown. Service was excellent. Portions are large. Food taste and selection better than expected. We drive 3+ hours one way to see a Broadway show from Vermont so a good, hearty, tasty meal before heading home was greatly appreciated.

On our 3 day stop in NYC we ate here twice. It was so good the first time that we went again the next day. By far the best food we had while in the city. Everything we ate was delicious and the staff were super friendly. If we make it back to NYC, this will be our go to place for a great meal.

Great staff and good diner food. Really enjoyed finding them on my walk back to my hotel. Every place seemed packed with people, they got busy but we're quite. They played music , but it wasn't blazingly loud, big plus

Old School Diner with breakfast all day. Great prices, generous portions and sneaky cocktails. My family and I dined here on Sunday during breakfast hours. My husband says this is the best corn beef hash he's EVER had, made with real corn beef chucky style. My daughter's Loaded Time Square Breakfast portion size was so huge I think that's at least 4 breakfasts. I ordered the Fish tacos because the breakfast menu wasn't pescatarian friendly (also egg allergy) and they weren't good at all, way too fishy!! Everyone else LOVED their breakfast and would return.

Found this diner while on vacation in Manhattan and was not disappointed. Although we had to wait a few it was worth it. The service and the food was GREAT! We were waited on as soon as we sat down and not forgotten the whole time we were there. The quality, portions and flavor of the food was on point! The location is close to Times Square and lots of hotels and restaurants. If you’re looking or somewhere to eat with something in the menu for everyone give them a try, you won’t regret it.

Just a block off Times Square this diner serves an excellent breakfast on busy weekend mornings. We had a BLT, omelette, eggs and sausage - all entrees were very good. The staff extremely experienced and professional. Would definitely return.

Ate breakfast and lunch there. Both meals were very good and the service was great as well. Didn't get a chance to try their pancakes but they looked DELICIOUS! Might be reason enough to come back to NYC again. 😉 (Pictured is the fried meatballs, mozzarella sticks, spinach salad, chicken caesar wrap, and steak quesadilla with sweet potato fries)

It ‘s a stylish and cozy diner. The service was fast even if the place was step by step getting packed. Delicious food and drinks - especially their pink lemonade (rich in strawberries) 🍓 do not miss it!
