Peacefood, located on the Upper West Side, is SO good - they have incredible vegan food, excellent service, and a great atmosphere (it's a romantic little place for a late night dinner)!! The nachos & the dumplings are amazing. The dessert is great too, try the carrot cake (you will not be disappointed). I also had the ginger + turmeric latte and it was incredible. I will definitely be returning here, this is a great little spot!!

An amazing place for all who wish to enjoy delicious foods made with love, care and without cruelty! Every dish was comforting in its own way on top of being finger-licking yummy😍 We had to come back at least twice just to feel like we got enoughof a taste for us to leave NYC without(too much) remorse😅 If I'll ever get the chance to visit NYC again, god knows this vegan haven will be at the top of my dining list❤️

Absolutely loved it! I don't think one can go wrong with any option here. Go for the raw chocolate pie!

Incredible! We had the cold brew iced tea infused with pineapple and coconut, raw sushi rolls, red bean chili and cornbread, and the raw keylime pie. Every single thing was “Mmm that’s really good😳”. I’m raw vegan and my companion was a non-vegan so I asked the waiter what they recommend for non-vegans and they said the red bean chili + cornbread, or ultimate burger + fries. The chili was a hit! Our waiter was very attentive and super nice! Will be coming back😁

The reason I’m giving this place 5 stars is the vegan pizza is Insanely good. It’s a potato, pesto and mushroom pizza with arugula on top. The chili was good too but wouldn’t recommend the sandwiches. It’s a bit pricey but definitely you should go!

Awesome pastries; 50/50 meals. Order the chicken tenders. Don't get the the teriyaki dish. Also, Audrey is a killer waiter.

Husband and I came here for a quick bite and it's good with a cool vibe. Staff helped me in choosing my dish. Individual gender neutral bathrooms with one being ADA.

I really enjoyed this place, both the food and atmosphere were great. I would highly recommend the chickpea fries, dumplings, and key lime pie. The mocha breakfast smoothie was delicious, like a milkshake almost. The lasagna and strawberry cheesecake were also good. I would pass on the potato pizza. I found out that if something is not on the paper menu but is located on the menu online, it’s available to order. Staff was very kind and attentive. It was a great date spot and had so many pastries and desserts available. I will definitely be coming back.

Wizards of Vegetarian Cuisine! Everything from the soups to the salads to the main dishes is extraordinary. I am not a vegetarian but I love each and every item on the menu. Standouts include the chickpea fries, the chili, the passion smoothie and anything with the PFC tenders in it. The raw sushi and the macho nachos are pretty incredible as well. The staff is friendly and attentive, and oh yes, don't forget to pick up a magic cookie on the way out. Also any soup is unbelievable. Doesn't matter which one. They are all excellent.

Vegan eats review: Picnic plate is the best light to go lunch. Chowhound ordering was fast and clear. I usually eat at the restaurant and staff are friendly and not intrusive. Dumplings are delicious always.

Peacefood has been our go-to casual vegan restaurant for over 10 years. We love the waffle & tenders (perfectly seasoned and crispy every time) as well as the roasted Japanese pumpkin sandwich (you can never go wrong with caramelized onions). Dessert hack: the peanut butter cheesecake (gluten-free) is excellent on its own, but like any cheesecake, it’s quite rich. The double chocolate chip cookie (also gluten-free) is OK on its own, but add a forkful of the cheesecake on top, and it’s bliss (it also tempers the richness a bit). Bonus: they're certified kosher by Rabbi Andre Malek (RAM Kosher).

This was my second time visiting this all-vegan eatery and it did not disappoint! Got the Chickpea fries and dumplings - very filling! Huz got a meal that I can't recall the name, (its the dish at the top of the photo) but he loved it and ate the whole thing. Will visit again and again. Go Vegan!

My husband found this spot for us and it didn't disappoint. We started with the soup of the day: potato and cauliflower, chickpea fries, and steamed dumplings. We also shared the waffles and tenders. For dessert we had the raspberry crumble. All were delicious. Molly waited on us and she was fantastic.

Coming out from a great massage I was famished but needed somewhere very vegan, meatless, and on [The Westside]. I hadn’t been here since the pandemic broke out, sometime before 2020– a long while. Well, upon seeing the exterior booths built onto the side of the building was quite surprising. Then once inside it was easy to tell everything was shifted around, all the tables being greatly separated from one another. All the dividing furnishings were removed and it was just one huge open space. I was immediately seated. And it wasn’t long before this trio of two dapper young women and a male friend were seated at a table just close by me. What was so interesting about one of the gals was her beauty and tawny cheeky good looks. Short skirted. Flirty. With a judicious stare about her that was mysterious. Stunning. I thought to myself. Maybe even movie star material! However when listening in conversation at a distance she spoke perfectly between Spanish and English. In all appearance they were speaking Spanish—aah, Spaniards … and tourists ! Forgive me. Too too pretty to stop from staring. In any event, the inspiration became short-lived within a matter of moments and my dinner had finally arrived in all its glory. Of course I couldn’t finish anything and just carted everything home. But, the lovely waitress [Catlyn] was ever so pleasant and gracious. Extra extra kind and super-polite. As for the other waiter [Lane] outfitted with a nose-ring with his bouncy tousled jet black hair like a modernized Toulouse-Lautrec running tables, smart and efficient. Pleasantly waiting tables cutting across the place. Excellent staff and greatly friendly. With exceptions seeing how the others in their flurrying busy-ness ran around supposedly unnoticed in their attitudinal class so attentive to their dinersl All in all it’s a place that could easily slip into the likes of San Francisco’s hipster vibe somewhere sight unseen or something in L.A.’s star studded vistas, maybe Santa Monica or Los Feliz … like so many many positively Uber options to expand upon such great ideas taking a slice from NYC and going bi-coastal. Amazingly superb. But for anyone, for that matter, it’s like the Starbucks of the Vegan world— aptly marvelous and a super cool superior take on the staple we love to nosh on most whenever it feels right! We’ve been patronizing this place for years now. Since 2007–and, it’s still fantastic to come by alone or in a group or as families enjoying it with their kids. Just memorable and long-lasting enjoyment for everyone at all ages. A must for sure for any vegetarian options. Voted « One of the Best in NYC » hands down by me of course.

I ordered too much food! Everything was delicious. The plantain lasagna was outstanding and a thoughtful take on meat lasagna. Very, very cold restaurant, so I decided to take my food to go because mu food went cold as I was eating it. Once seated, took a bit of time to get the writer's attention to get my bill after I had boxed my food and was clearly ready to go. I would go back to try the rest of the menu.

Do yourself a BIG favor and check this place out. As someone with a dairy allergy who doesn't have a lot of time to cook, I have been really missing normal every day cuisine and baked goods. I almost cried eating the carrot cake because the texture and flavor of the frosting and cake was perfection. Everything else I bought was phenomenal, the cookies, muffins, cheesecake etc. This is a vegan's paradise! And of course other allergy concious person's paradise. I thought everyone was super nice too! Guys and girls, remember this is a very busy delicious place - they aren't going to always have time to chat and schmooze! Vegan food takes a lot of extra effort and caress and let me tell you, they do a phenomenal job. I will be back! They use quality natural ingredients... I can tell.

Delicious vegan food, has been great for years. My favorites are the miso tahini sprouts sandwich and chickpea fries. We also got the grain Peacefood bowl with different veggie options, the lunch plate, and the pumpkin sandwich — all very good. The cookie sandwich was absolutely amazing. Great service as well. Outdoor seating!

Delicious food in a relaxing and lovely atmosphere. My server was wonderful but i noticed the other staff was pretty abrasive. Might have just been nothing, worth it regardless.

I just want to say, I really enjoy this restaurant. The food is phenomenal. The staff aren’t my cup of tea but one waitress in particular was outstanding. A young Woman named Hannah, she made me and my wife feel special. We have been here on numerous occasions and she was our waitress twice, both times she made the evening more comfortable and gave us so much information regarding the menu and deserts. Also, she went above and beyond making sure our satisfaction was guaranteed. 5 stars

Everything about this place is a delight. The service is patient and accomodating (a rarity in this lovely city 🫣) and the food is full of flavor and moments of deliciousness. We tried the dumplings, chickpea fries, oyster mushrooms and spaghetti squash with Mashed potatoes and Cauliflower and each dish was unique in its own flavor profile and moreover each dish created a "oh wow that's yum" experience. Look forward to trying everything else.

I have eaten at this cafe twice and have not been disappointed. The staff is very attentive and can make suggestions when not sure what to order. They have a good selection of gluten free, raw dishes, and many healthy options. My husband loved the raw pizza, grilled broccoli (best I've ever had), and potato salad. I had red lentil and pumpkin soup, and a quinoa salad. They were both incredibly delicious. The prices are also very reasonable. The only thing is the place is a little noisy.

Quality vegan food. I had ordered the raw sushi roll last time I was here and it was delicious with surprisingly more flavor that I had expected. This time I got a variety of treats! A chocolate chip cookie, a magic cookie, and a chocolate dipped macaroon. 1) chocolate chip cookie - a classic and it tasted classic. I liked the slight crispiness of the edges with a perfectly soft interior. It was thin but it was still pleasant. 2) magic cookie - if you want more flavor and action in a cookie, go for this one. There was a lot more going on- it was soft with fun inclusions like carrot, chocolate chips, coconut, pecans and oats. 3) chocolate dipped macaroon - this is low key bomb. I lovedddd the chocolate dipped part - caveating it is super sweet. The macaroon was very moist and fresh too.

I read a very good things about this place, the chocolate cake was good, but not was the best, and was missing a lot of sweet and the cheesecake, really feel like a coconut cake, was better but so much coconut, the quiche was good and a good portion. A little bit expensive for what it was

Very good vegan restaurant and the service was great. Try to get reservation especially during the peak hours, they tend to get busy. We ordered and shared 4 main courses, I loved all in this order: squash quiche, seitan panini, waffles and tenders (I would recommend to ask the syrup separately if you don’t like sweet and savory) and the potato pizza was the absolutely best. We also had the raw chocolate cake and was sooo tasty, not too sweet and the raw cashew cheesecake (this one is so light and refreshing)

We went here excited about lots of vegan and gluten free options, on which they delivered. We were a little underwhelmed by the food, though. The fresh juice, smoothies, and dessert made it worthwhile, though. Ordered the macho nachos after seeing a photo in Google. Based on the photo, we expected some kind of raw, whole grainy deliciousness. Got something that was more like a vegan version of nachos you would find in an American Mexican restaurant, chili, vegan cheese (a bit heavy) and guacamole on regular corn tortilla chips. Not their fault it didn’t meet our expectations, just wasn’t what we were looking for. Also tried the chili and cornbread. Solid comfort food, nothing out of the ordinary. But the tropikale smoothie was perfectly balanced, and the clear skin juice had a refreshing zing. Wanted to try every dessert too.

Very delicious healthy food. Soup/salad combo is good for lunch. Reasonably priced items. Place needs more heat; it is a bit chilly indoors. I would like a take out paper menu to have in our workplace.

I found a coach roach in my quinoa salad. Absolutely disgusting! Health department has been informed. Avoid this dumpster/ restaurant at all costs.

Incredibly rude staff. Why do the waitresses think it’s appropriate to yell at customers? What the hell kind of establishment is this? And to make matters worse I found a hair in my food!!! Disgusting. Who is managing this dump? The staff needs a serious lesson in proper etiquette… Zero stars

Being going since 2012–used to have very diverse and very lovely staff. Current staff bratty and poor service. Whatever happened to the hiring manager, it’s really a shame.

The Pfc Seitan Panini was great and so was the Glowing Skin juice blend. The pasteries looked so interesting that I got 2 raw cashew cream cheesecake to go. Lily was a polite and attentive employee and the service was rather fast. I intend to come back here. PEACE OUT 🖖.

Food was great, but the bread was a bit dense (Panini). Staff was fine. They were definitely checking for vaccination status so have your proof ready!
