I really like this place. The food is fresh and made to order. There's clearly a lot of care put into preparation. Everything is vegan and very tasty. Some dishes are more tasty than others. The first time I came, I enjoyed the Drunken Noodles 😀 (delicious!) The hot and sour soup was also a winner. During my second visit, I ordered the basil chicken and kimchi pancakes. Both were good 🫤 but I would try something else next time. Nothing memorable. The staff are also warm and personable. I enjoy people watching from the outdoor patio.

Had my birthday lunch planned with a few friends here and when we walked in at 3 pm, this place wasn't that busy! I was looking forward to eating some creative vegetarian/vegan food, and wasn't disappointed at all after ordering a bunch of things from their menu. We ordered Fried Calamari, Spicy Buffalo Wings, and the Dumplings Combo. The Spicy buffalo wings were unbelievably delicious and were a top pick for our table from their small plates menu. For mains, we got the Curry 'Chicken' (Stone Bowl Rice) and the Mushroom Sizzler - both were pretty good. This order was enough for four adults and it hit the spot. Food taste is just unbelievable. Whoever thinks vegetarian or vegan cannot be delicious needs to visit this place. Service, ambiance was perfect and food arrives within 20 minutes of ordering. Noise levels were on the lower end during our visit. Will definitely visit again!

Franchia Cafe offers an authentic and refreshing take on vegan Korean cuisine. Shying away from over-reliance on mock meat, the chefs creatively incorporate a wide range of vegetables, tofu, and traditional Korean seasonings to craft dishes that are both flavorful and satisfying. From savory stews to delectable noodle dishes, the menu is filled with options that cater to a variety of tastes, all while adhering to a plant-based philosophy. The ambiance is elegant and calming, reflecting the thoughtful approach to food that celebrates Korean culinary traditions. Friendly staff and artfully presented dishes make every meal at Franchia Cafe a delightful experience. Whether you're a long-time vegan or exploring new culinary horizons, Franchia Cafe provides a unique and gratifying dining adventure.

Top tier Asian cuisine this restaurant is beautiful. The decor is lovely, upstairs seating is great for more formal dining. There’s a cute front area for smaller quick bites. The take out was quick and fresh. Staff is very friendly and welcoming the place is very clean and well kept. Great lunch specials that have generous portions that is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this establishment.

This is an amazing Asian vegan restaurant. There is a great atmosphere like a Japanese tea house vibe. There are nice decor elements and the ceiling has this really cool design. The staff were very courteous and friendly. We ordered a Thai iced tea, mango tea, the fried cauliflower, volcano roll, tropical mango roll, and the Malaysian chicken curry. This is the best vegan food I've had, so much flavor!!

I felt insulted , I was treated with contempt, I called and spoke with Kevin who was very nice on the phone to place an order for pickup. When I got the the location I identified myself and gave Kevin my card. As I sat outside the receipt came and all charges were increased. As I proceeded to have a conversation with the Manager, his attitude and arguments were non sequitur. Black people let's buy BLACK and maybe even recreate our own Financial Segregation.

Let's start with Crystal. My serve and waitress was amazing. She was perfect with all the recommendations and the food was extremely tasty! However there was one clear stand out and that's the bbq vegan chicken kabobs. Omg it was amazing and the rainbow roll was super clean with that vegan meat on it too. 11/10

We came for a work dinner with a few colleagues and were pleased to learn walk ins were welcomed. Usually I don't care for vegan food that is molded to shape like the food it is representing, but here it made the dishes beautiful and the taste of the protein was delicious. As you can see in the pictures, the sticky buns are made to look like they have Peking duck inside. It's actually a mushroom based product that looks delicious and tastes as good! They had an amazing assortment of hot tea to choose from, I had the persimmon and chamomile which were great. We had also a spicy hotpot, rice bowl, pancakes, fried dumplings, and three desserts! The only dish we were not all thrilled about was the vegan tiramisu, that was a little disappointing. But wow,the rest was awesome! Will definitely come again on a future trip to NYC.

One of the best vegan restaurants I’ve been to. They have an extensive menu (which can sometimes scare me away from a place) but of all the things me and my partner tried, NONE disappointed. We god the combo dumplings, the leek pancakes, the Indonesian goreng, braised tofu with eggplant and squash, seasame cake, and triple chocolate cake for dessert. Absolutely nothing was bad. The kimchi dumplings are incredible and I will have dreams about that braised tofu for years to come. The waiter we had was just attentive enough and very kind. I will be coming back as often as I can.

Possibly my favorite vegan restaurant in the city right now! Great hospitality, amazing teas, and delicious vegan dishes. So far the Thai basil soy chicken dish is my favorite, but that may change since I will definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Highly recommended!! We really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and the service. There are different kitchen menus: gluten free sushi, Chinese dishes, Korean, and other yummy asian kitchen options. We had tiramisu for dessert and it was so light and flavorful that immediately we wanted to plan for our next visit.

The place vibes like a Retreat. A very serene and lovely food experience. The customer service is exceptional. The place is huge however the table are reserved mostly. I wish the tables weren’t that close. The food is outstanding and delicious. This was my 1st time trying vegan and I was amazed how beautiful they modified the recipes. The menu is so diverse.I love their drink menu, my favourite is Pink Moon. I tried vegetarian duck stone bowl, spicy franchia noodles and dragon roll. Everything is fantastic. I would highly recommend this place to enjoy the meal even if one is not vegan.

Franchia’s is amazing! Wonderful service and very delicious flavours. The spicy noodle dish was absolutely awesome - just spicy enough and full of flavour and aroma. The beef clay pot rice was amazing and the rice was perfectly crispy. It came out sizzling which was so cool! Then the fish soup that my partner got was awesome too. He said it’s so cool how it tastes so much like fish. We are very grateful we found this wonderful restaurant! One of the best vegan restaurant in NYC.

Amazing quality food! Offers a wide variety of Asian cuisine. Our vegetarian friend was very happy she could order any food she wanted on the menu without having to check the ingredients. Love the tiered seating layout too. Would definitely revisit to try other dishes.

Delicious vegan Asian fusion! Wow. Fried kimchi dumplings and the pancake app sampler. And two bowls, one in a stone bowl to make the bottom layer crispy. Tiramisu for dessert, which was delicious. Highly recommend and THANK YOU for providing delicious vegan options

Pleasantly surprised to find this place. I'm not a vegan but was looking for a sit down place convenient to a couple people's locations that could also provide quick service. Though service was slow taking our order, the food was flavorful, well cooked and portions were great. I got the penang coconut curry and though I didn't taste much coconut I enjoyed my dish. Worth the $$!

Exceptional vegan food. The sushi is one of the best we tasted, and hands down the best vegan sushi we tried. The buns and main dishes were excellent too. The tea experience was also excellent. I tried Korean plum tea, and lotus tea, both excellent. Highly recommended.

I’m not sure why this place doesn’t have 5 stars. Food, service, & atmosphere have all been stellar. This instantly became my favorite place, & I’ve eaten at 90% of the vegan & vegetarian places in NYC (not including the brilliant places that left us too soon). If you like food, go! This was a pleasant surprise for me as I typically don't find myself super excited about Asian fusion. If you visit here you should definitely try the Shish Kebab! They are flavorful and have just enough crispiness. Leave room for the dessert and opt for the chocolate cake with ice cream. I've had many vegan ice creams and this was one of the best I've had!

Good food, but don't order the Mediterranean dish or the ginger tea. It was sooooo sweet with sugar we could have just ordered a big gulp. The canton noodles were amazing and so was the sushi. Highly recommended. Prices for main dishes are around 20 dollars.

Honest review. Don’t come here. We had lunch here and ordered a latte, soy chicken salad and avocado salad. The waiter brought us tea instead of latte, and the salads were extremely bland. There’s only 4-5 small pieces of soy chicken, when I say small piece, think about the half size of your pinky finger. And half of the avocados were brown. Very disappointed

This is such a great place for vegetarians and vegans but also for anyone who is interested in trying yummy food. The menu has so many options to pick from that we had a hard time picking what to order. Food: We ended up ordering the spicy kimchi dumplings. These were my favorite of all the things we ordered. They were perfectly crunchy and the filling was well seasoned. The spicy buffalo wings were okay, the sauce was too pungent and the "meat" felt a bit too thick. The peking duck baos were yummy and I liked that they were cut in half so it was easier to eat. We ended with the spicy kimchi pancakes. They were crispy and the perfect spice combination. Service: Service was a bit slow but the food came out fast and fresh so it was fine. Atmosphere: I love the three floor set up, it feels intimate and private. I also like the minimalist theme.

I knew that I had to stop by at this place. Very authentic Vegan Asian Restaurant and the Server was very Friendly and Welcoming. For Dinner, I had Wonton Noodles with Bok Choy and barbecued pork in Vegetable Broth. I also had Iced Matcha Latte to Drink. For Dessert, I had Chocolate Fudge Cake with Chocolate Ice Cream on the side. Definitely a good spot to have Dinner.

Franchia was fabulous! Although I was thoroughly overwhelmed by enormous menu, we eventually settled on four dishes to share dessert (two of us). First (not pictured) was the pumpkin noodle salad which was light and the sesame dressing was delish! Second was the Peking Duck Baos which were so cute and tasty (after I picked the cilantro off). The sauce on the “duck” was perfect. Third was the Rainbow roll. The little shrimps were wonderful & each bit was like a different roll. Avo and BBQ were the other two bites. Fourth was the mango avocado roll which was light, sweet, and tangy and perfect for a hot humid day. We finished it off with a slice of the carrot cake which was good but not great. I obviously finished it, but the cake was a little tough and we didn’t have any walnuts in our slice 🥲 Service was phenomenal! Total was $66 before tip.

Delightful Delicious dinner in a cozy, comfortable setting. The only qualm I’ve had with my last two visits to Franchia is the delay in receiving our Bill when we requested it. On both occasions, we waited more than thirty minutes before our bill was presented to us. Whilst we understand the busyness of Dinnertime at a popular restaurant and do not mind having to wait five or ten minutes, thirty minutes is pushing the patience of many. I do plan to visit Franchia again and I will hope that this does not reoccur!

Very overwhelming as a vegetarian as you have 2 pages of tiny font full of options. Felt like fusion Thai to me as I got kale dumpling, mango salad and franchia noodles The food is ok and meets the bar. Not sure if I was blown away by anything among what I ordered. The mango salad could have been better as it had too much sweet dressing/sauce. I liked the house sake that was served warm

My absolute favorite vegan restaurant in the city. One of the best Asian cuisine you can get. There are so many items to rave about but one of my go to’s is the vegan crab cakes, the sauce paired with it is super good. Lynche wine is amazing. My first time having the binimbap bowl with vegetarian duck and I was pleased. I definitely would recommend this place to friends and family.

I stumbled upon this restaurant on a whim with a vegetarian as a keyword so did not expect at all but the food quality really blew me and my friends away. One of the most serene and peaceful restaurants in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of NYC !! The staff is wonderful and extremely giving when it comes to love and affection. The food is top notch. I got the rainbow roll and Sish Kabob and I will say it is by far my fav Vegan Korean food so far (in addition to Hangawi-Sister company). Highly recommend it for friends hangout, date, and a day simply with yourself and your own sweet company. Thank you, Franchia, for such an amazing experience.

Highly recommended. I stumbled upon this gem of a lunch spot. They specialize in vegan Asian food and absolutely hit the bullseye. The staff was incredibly welcoming without being overbearing, and were helpful in making a few recommendations. I ended up with the Bibimbap Stone Bowl with kimchi and spicy chili sauce. The flavor mix was spot on. Definitely spicy - but not to the point where the other flavors were hidden. 5-stars - would highly recommend.

All of the dishes we had tasted good, but the sushi is the star of the show. So if you're going, I recommend the crispy "crab" roll and the tofu skin roll. ABSOLUTELY DO get the cheesecake. Still dreaming about it!

Although I'm neither vegetarian nor vegan, this place really impressed. There's very limited outdoor seating (as a response to COVID) but it's done well and is spaced out. The service was prompt and friendly and the food options were strong. Some of the dishes had quite a spicy kick, but that was welcome. It positions itself as pan-Asian, but it's primarily Korean influenced.

I give this review as a meat eater. Everything across the board was phenomenal. I had the spring rolls, vegetable dumplings and "chicken" rice bowl. Each dish was served at the right time with seasoning that not only pulled out the flavors but complemented the other dishes. I certainly will be returning. Only thing to note is you want to call for a reservation because it gets busy.

First time having vegan food and it is AMAZING! The vegan sushi tasted like actually sushi and it was making me want to eat more. My favorite was the spicy fired tofu because the tofu is very crispy and the sauce was very good. The pad Thai was ok but not very good as an actually pad Thai would taste like. The drunken noodle was flavorful with the soy sauce. However, this place you have to order $15pp, which seem a lot but all the dishes are more than $15.

  • 3/5 Lashelle R. 2 years ago on Google
Food was okay. Sushi was a bit small and their spicy tuna is a bit chewy. The sushi could use more of a fishy taste. Chili tofu was very good! Their cocktails didn’t really taste like it had alcohol in it. The quality of service is very direct and they don’t really check up on you. I suggest making sure you order and ask for whatever you need right away. Our bill came with a “covid-19 recovery” charge which, I was very confused and turned off about.

Great location on Park avenue with nice outdoor seating and beautiful indoor decor. Fun for lunch or dinner. They have a very extensive menu, all vegan, but my favorite dish (and the one thing my wife and I get every time) is the combination pancakes. The scallion pancakes are delicious, but this way you also get to try the kimchi and corn pancakes, which are also excellent.

So glad I stopped by this little gem for lunch. Their vegan menu is very extensive with items ranging from ramen to curry to bibimbap. The service was very fast and the food was delicious and fresh. I had the mushroom hot plate which came with lots of fresh vegetables. I had the soup as well which was really tasty. Looking forward to coming back! Sustainability rating: 3.5 out of 5 (average). Used reusable dinnerware and utensils with paper napkins. I believe they don’t use plastic straws which is nice.

Got two of the bibimbaps and the drunken noodles. The bibimbaps were definitely my favorite, and we got soy ginger and a chili sauce one... We asked for extra hot sauce on the side, and the chili sauce was extremely flavorful, great and spicy. There was indoor and outdoor seating with plenty of space, and the service was fast even during peak dinner time. Having a full vegan menu with lots of options made the choices great... We stayed away for the fake meat options that try to mimic real meat, but the options we got were great. There are also several tea options on the side with specials.
