First visited Sam's Falafel stand 14 years ago, last time we visited the city. It was our favorite thing we tried on that trip, so we had to come back this time, and it did not disappoint! Sam is still serving crispy falafel with so much flavor and friendly service. The falafel has a perfect texture, not too dry, and he packs the sandwich full and tops it with roasted eggplant and onions, fresh lettuce and tomato, and layers in the tahini and hot sauce. Even my kids loved it. The most satisfying lunch you'll find for under $10!

My favorite place in my neighborhood. Sandwich is $ 6 and plate is $ 8. Freshly fried falafel and vegetables with a large sandwich volume. This is a vegetarian shop.

This place is great! Just $6 for a crazy falafel sandwich! What a steal - you can’t find better prices than this! And the ingredients are so fresh - the eggplant is just amazing! If you don’t have cash, ask if they accept Zelle. They did for me! Super warm and friendly people! They left a little crunchy fries bread besides - not sure what that was but great addition!

Starts with one liner "awesome and freshness" Really awesome, everything on the platter is completely fresh. The falafel are so fresh along with the salads and the fresh hummus makes it an excellent platter. They add pickle and some sort of leafy rice(rice inside spinach leaf i guess) which makes richer. Try the platter and sandwich.

You can't beat Sam's for falafel with all of the fixings. Friendly, fast service and the best falafel in NYC. $7 for the platter? Try beating that in NYC! Eat at the park and enjoy the shade and pigeons.

Excellent food for a great price. You can get a Falafel Sandwich for $7 with Hummus, Babaganoush, Fried Eggplant and Salat or Combo Platter for $9 with the same ingredients but even more food. Everything, literally everything is awesome. I was just thinking about which ingredient was the best but it's all really good. Drinks are also just a dollar and the vendor was really kind too. He even redid one of our sandwiches because the hot sauce is "very hot". 👍🏻 And you can pay with card too.

Went here just cause of their only vegetarian falafel truck! But, too bad that their wraps were pretty bland. If you’re expecting some level of spice like me, them you may not end up liking it. But, it’s situated in a nice location where you can takeout and eat like a picnic. You might still like it if you like no spice food!

This place only serves Falafel! So, all vegetarians welcome! The falafel paired with the hot sauce gives your the spicy kick! Recommend platter! :)

The best falafel wrap I’ve ever tried. The falafel itself is really good, veggies are fresh. Take the hot sauce, it adds a good spice but not too spicy

This place is amazing. The guys working at the stand are super friendly. Falafel sandwich is delicious and at $8, arguably the best value meal in lower Manhattan.

Great Falafel. I had the Falafel sandwich for $8. The Falafels were plentiful and not too dry, the sauces and salad were really good especially the eggplant.

Incredible falafel for great value! I’m often around that area and get lunch there since it’s the cheapest option and tastes by far the best. (It’s been a bonus to get to know everyone who works at the truck, who are all incredibly kind and lovely people!)

Best falafel platter in Fidi. $10 for a whole platter of delicious fresh vegetarian food-if you work or live around here and haven’t tried a platter you are missing out. The guys are so friendly and nice. Line moves quickly, you get your food, it’s practically two meals. Go there now!

Perfectly fried falafel! Just like the “taimehya” on the streets of Cairo. I’m working downtown for the first time since moving to NYC and this will definitely become a staple lunch spot. Platter served at an incredible value.

This place is incredible. $7 for a huge falafel sandwich, and one of the best tasting I’ve ever had. Falafel was divine: crispy outside, fluffy moist inside. The eggplant is also great, as are the sauces and tahini. Service was super friendly! Definitely go here!
