Great place to shop for wholesome foods. Many organic products. It was unusually crowded for a location that seems industrial. Plenty of free parking. The location is unique as it's the most green friendly in all of Brooklyn. It produces it's own electricity by solar and wind. Has the nations only commercial rooftop greenhouse, Gotham greens. Indoor rooftop lounge to eat and a bar. Small trail around the gowana river. It was an experience to see this in Brooklyn. And this has been around for over 10 years wow. Maybe more people will move to this area.

Greatest organic eggs I ever tried (whole foods brand). Great price for organic tomatoes on the vine $2.99 per lbs. They taste good too. The organic cucumbers are tasty and reasonably priced, as well as Organic baby arugula. Whole foods organic yogurt in large container is $3.39 and they have different flavors. I get whole milk plain. Organic milk is at the best price you can find. I am attaching some photos with prices. You can find some pretty good deals. Otherwise, prices are expensive on most of the items. This Whole Foods is the most beautiful grocery store in America, very possibly the world! It has its own gorgeous park with benches right over the storied and iconic gowanus canal, once a putrid disgusting waterway which has since been cleaned up 🧼 The shop is immaculate. Everything is well-placed. From the moment one enters, your immediate needs are placed at the forefront: vegetables and fruits, followed by seafood and meats and then finally other stuff we dont really need but may just want. I’m impressed at how well-thought out the product placement is. Whoever designed this shop deserves an award. Even the produce here looks better than produce elsewhere, shinier and prettier. The atmosphere is zen and customers for the most part are in great spirits too. The parking lot outside is beautiful with mini wind turbines and massive solar panels. I visited this shop multiple times a day during the pandemic because its such a nice store. These days I live in an outer borough so my less frequent trips are valued even deeper. I even got mugged on my way here and stopped in nonetheless to catch my breath and gather myself. Its a special place. You’ve set a high bar for grocery shopping WFG, now I compare most places in NYC to you. I’ll go to other WF and say, sure its nice but its not Gowanus 🥰 Whole Foods Gowanus: you’re my favorite 💜 thank you for making grocery shopping so fun yet zen.

The bakery department at this Whole Foods location needs some new management. We were first sold expired and moldy bagels. Luckily we discovered it in time before eating. Not even a day after, I found a mosquito in the berry tart. I didn't even open the package, again, luckily we discovered it before we consumed it. I don't know how this location keeps selling contaminated products. Check your baked goods before consuming!

Great Whole Foods experience. Actual location in Brooklyn with a parking lot. The wide aisles and great selection makes it a great location. It was great seeing who eco friendly this location is with a greenhouse on top along with solar powered canopy over parking spaces.

Beautiful, huge supermarket. Attractive, wide, clean aisles. Be prepared to spend a lot of time exploring. Many breads and rolls in the bakery, nicely packaged meats and poultry. Decent sale items. Grocery items I have never before seen. Place goes on forever. Bathrooms upstairs. Lots of parking. But expensive.

There was a need for a few snacks while we were in NYC, so the hubs selected Whole Foods. We arrived around 7 pm, so that clearly plays a part in good selection. We had no issues getting quick snacks, water, and beverages, so we decided to pick up dinner as well. Not a good idea. The hot meals were sparse and needed to either be replaced or refreshed. We ended up going with pizza slices because even the pasta area was not appetizing. The staff was friendly, alert, and quick to assist. That part is typically a bright spot. Oh and the pizza was alright.

Found out last minute that I needed flowers for an occasion. Whole Foods has a nice selection of premade bouquets along with a variety of potted plants available. Paid and the staff wrapped it up beautifully at no extra charge!

This place has lots of goodies! And pretty decent sales, if you're an Amazon member. We have been coming here for many years. We prefer it over the Bedford Avenue store.

"My 4-year-old was tired from soccer class and didn't want to walk, so he climbed into the shopping cart as he usually does in stores. However, security personnel approached us and were extremely rude, insisting that he couldn't be inside the cart. I complied with their request, but the experience was unpleasant."

Overall, the place is great. I could find cheap deals and a great selection of food. The reason why they are getting a 2 star is because they let people bring their dogs in. I come to this store 2 to 3 times a week, and every time I am in there, I see a dog or two. This is a place where they sell food. It should be no pets allowed. They really need to reinforce their policy. This is a safety concern.

No matter what Whole Foods you go to it is just an experience each time !! I will say the Strawberry Shortcake here is just amazing.. Plus if you walk a bit further outside the parking lot ,you can get some cool photos of the mural

Unpleasant Experience at Whole Foods Self-Checkout I wanted to share my recent experience at your store, particularly at the self-checkout area, which left me quite dissatisfied. During my visit today, I encountered issues with the self-checkout machine, as it repeatedly scanned the same product despite my efforts to proceed correctly. I sought assistance from the first employee nearby, explaining the situation and requesting help to resolve the issue.she removed the list.and I start scanning. As I continued scanning, the problem persisted, and I asked for assistance once again. This time, a staff member approached, suggesting that I was at fault for leaving items in the scan area. Despite my attempts to explain that the scanning machine usually recognizes identical codes and doesn't repeat the scan, I encountered resistance and was advised to handle the situation differently. To my disappointment, the employee seemed uninterested in assisting and ignored my requests for help, leaving me frustrated and inconvenienced. Fortunately, another individual, not initially in a Whole Foods uniform but still recognized as an employee, observed the situation and stepped in to help resolve the repeated scanning problem. I have been a Whole Foods customer since 2019, and this incident marked the first time I felt mistreated and disregarded by your staff. I believe in kindness and understanding, even in stressful work environments. I hope this feedback can contribute to enhancing the overall customer experience at your store.

Wow! I had to find a place to kill an hour while getting an oil change so I popped in here for a coffee and breakfast but I may never leave! There's a lovely cafe with an indoor/outdoor seating area above the supermarket. At 8am it was quiet with plenty of seating and easy access to outlets and free wifi. A great option for a change of scenery for a few hours. The barista at the coffee bar was a delight! He had such a good energy and gave me a run down of the happy hour they run daily. And he made a flawless cappuccino to boot.

Going in the evenings sometimes is the best time, there’s not a lot of people, so at least you can have a better experience and enjoy it! The produce have the best quality is always super fresh! A lot of organic products with many choices! The bakery is also really good we been buying lemon poppy seed muffins but sadly they don’t make them very often or maybe the discontinued them? Please, bring them back!

This Whole Foods has a wonderful prepared foods section. Ended up getting the salmon plate for $15; came with two expertly prepared vegetable sides. Salmon itself was well cooked, tasted like it came from the seafood section (good texture), and had a honey glaze with nuts and such on top. Do recommend! Also get 90 minute parking validation by spending more than $10 (and so the prepared food is enough to hit that!)

Great assortment, however sometimes your find that some of their fresh produce is expired and packed with non-expired produce; also their citrus assortment is somewhat lacking. Overall, incredibly clean store, excellent bakery section, and meat packing. Rooftop is top notch, great for a picnic with a great view of the stunning Gowanus beach.

Just came in for milk. No cashiers at all. Had to get on line for the check out machinery. Was directed to #3 . Scanned and paid cash but machine only spits out bills no coins. Attendant comes and says machine only takes cards. But it took my money and spit out the bills! Tried to blame me for this . I had to wait for supervisor and had to walk over to the cash register to get my coin change. They can barely count the coins. Amazon /Whole Foods is awful. I should not be doing their job especially for the prices they charge. Never again 😠

Love that the place has pas parking and is clean. Items are organized. Purchased some fresh lamb...cant wait to season it and cook it. The tastiest mango cheesecake cake bite...so yummy. Lots of variations of things you need. Just like every market prices go up on items, some deals.

This store seems to be stocked quite well. This Whole Foods does not carry wine. And their farm raised salmon was pricey! Most of their products were pricey. I had an easy transaction at the customer service, with an Amazon return.

This Whole Foods has numerous cake selections from their bakery on site. They even personalize cakes for you - what a life saver! - and the prices are reasonable. Will be back for future cake purchases.

Used the catering department to order 5 of their berry Chantilly cakes for an event, as it’s one of my favorite cakes ever! Not too sweet and just decadent enough, with fresh berries. It was a smooth process and the bakery staff member was extremely helpful in sneering my questions. 10/10 recommend their catering division.

Walking into the Whole Foods on 3rd Ave feels like stepping into an extension of my own home. From the impeccably organized aisles, this place radiates an inviting warmth that I've rarely experienced in any other store. If there's a crown jewel in this place, it's got to be the vegan section. Think about it: Where else can you find vegan cheeses that actually melt and taste like the real deal? The variety is stunning, and it keeps me coming back week after week. Let's not forget the hot food bar, which has become my go-to for quick, delicious meals. With options ranging from gourmet salads to international cuisines, it's like having a world-class chef right in your kitchen. Whole Foods on 3rd Ave stands head and shoulders above the rest. It's not just a store; it's a community hub, a culinary treasure trove, and quite frankly, my sanctuary. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out on a quintessential Brooklyn experience.

Love it! This is the only one that has (drum roll please))) PARKING!!! Yeah, this one has parking. The workers are really nice, shoutout to all of the workers from the fish and cake sections. Have been shopping here since whole food was its own company.)))) There have been some changes since Whole foods was bought by Amazon, yet such a great supermarket. Thank you.

Beautiful store. Great produce and lots of choices on everything. I was so excited to discover this Whole Foods. But I live far from Gowanus and was just in the neighborhood today. when I brought everything home , I realized an item I bought (that was featured in the front of the store prominently) had expired over a month ago and I thought I was serving it tonight :/ I will not be close to the store to return it or get a credit , so Im annoyed to have lost the $ and the time.
