Ok so I’ve been here before and I thought this was an all vegan restaurant. It is not. There is meat and egg served here. However, the good thing for vegetarians and vegans is that there is no fish sauce or MSG served in any of their dishes. So their menu is a little confusing by noting ‘vegan’ dishes when technically they can all be vegan with using only vegetables or adding vegan meat like daring chicken or tofu (and subtracting egg if in dish). I will say the flavors were absolutely delicious! I was quite surprised at how tasty their curry was and their rice was like a ginger-lemongrass flavor, which was yum in its own. The dumplings and spring rolls were tasty too. I’ll definitely be back. Just hoping they don’t cook the vegan food right next to the meat.

The menu was very reasonably priced, and the staff were really attentive. BUT can't decide if the food was bland because its vegan/vegetarian or stretching ingredients due to the rising input costs. Personally, I find asian restaurants tend to do vegan/vegetarian right being inherent to culture/religion. If the restaurant is reading this, take the following with a grain of salt: raise your prices don't sacrifice flavor or quality. <3

Glur is the best spot for Thai takeout in Chelsea! I've ordered food from here a few times and have always had a pleasant experience. The restaurant only has a few tables so I recommend going during non-peak hours to avoid a wait if you want to dine in! I usually get: Thai Iced Tea (4/5): made with oat milk, a little on the sweeter side but still delicious Curry Puffs (4/5): crispy and well seasoned filling Red Curry w/ Tofu (5/5): flavorful without tasting fishy, tofu is very silky Pad Kee Mao w/ Chicken (5/5): saucy and spicy addictive noodles, chicken is cooked perfectly I definitely recommend checking out Glur if you’re in the area, especially if you prefer vegetarian/vegan food options since they have a lot of meat substitutes available!

Very small Thai restaurant in Chelsea. The fried tofu was very plain, and the crust was flaky/came off. The vegan curry puffs were sooo good, like a samosa but more flavorful. The drunken noodles had the standard flavor profile, but a bit too oily and oddly sweet. The red curry was phenomenal: this alone makes it easy to recommend this restaurant. In fact, I think this was the best thai food in NYC out of the 6ish restaurants I've been to (way better than Thai Diner or THEP). I found the best aspect of this restaurant to be the wide variety of vegetarian/vegan options, including multiple vegan proteins like veg duck, daring chicken, and impossible meat.

Tried the vegan chive pancakes and pad see ew with mock duck. Personally, I didn’t love the mock duck but the noodles were tasty and I’d definitely try another plant-based protein on my next visit. The prices are a bit on the higher side for Thai food, but the quality of food was on point. The service was a bit slow, but the staff acknowledged that several times. This is a pretty small restaurant so I’d recommend it for 2-4 people max. Excellent for dining with mixed dietary habits.

Service is attentive and great. Pad See ew was piping hot we love but squid was rubbery, and shrimp was mid, kind of sad. Jeeb was great and so were the dipping sauce. Thai tea was quite watery a bit sad. Love the coconut pudding with warm taro paste underneath!! 10/10.

Amazing little Thai restaurant. The food is really good. Many of the portions feel more Chinese than Thai, but all extremely tasty. Plenty of vegan options. Highly recommended.

Went for dinner around 7pm. There was no wait though seating was limited. Waiter was flexible and let us move to an open table from the window seat when the table opened up. Got pad see kao with vegetarian duck, pad Thai, green curry, and crispy tofu. The vegetarian duck tasted a lot like seitan. Noodles were cooked through and chewy in a good way and also easy to cut through. The only minus star would be wish for larger portion size is on the smaller side for the price, though the quality is there. Waiter and waitress were very busy but clearly working hard and polite and quick to respond. Will definitely be visiting again.

I visited last Saturday at lunch. First of all, The server( woman) did not say hi or even did not ask how many people she was kinda making a face of like why are you here which made me feel not welcoming at all. And there was no one inside and even there was no one who was waiting for sitting and I said my friend is almost here but the woman said I cannot sit and wait outside which is ridiculous. if there was a waitlist or the seats all were full, yes, of course I would wait outside but literally there was NO ONE inside lol you need to be more flexible if you really want customer coming into your restaurant lol Also there was something like a s rocky thing come out from the stick dumpling and it tasts so blend and not worth for 12$ at all duck curry was fine but overall it was not recommended. I would not visit again.

Thai restaurant with many vegan options available. Was unable to find anything in jain as they use Mushrooms in all the base sauces. But the non jain food was good as reviewed by my family.

This is a great find in NYC. the place is small but the food is amazing. The service was fast. the noodles were delicious, there are vegan options as well. We sat outside in the pop up seating because of the pandemic. If you want a quick bite then this place is really good choice. Will come again!!

Amazing. I used Google to find "best vegan thai" and Glur Thai came up. Before I headed there I wanted to know if they had outdoor seating. They do have outdoor seating! The food was well portioned and seasoned very well. I'm 100% plant based but the texture of the chicken and the duck made me feel like I had meat in my mouth. The food pictures on Google Maps are the same you will get on your table. And the server was on point. I dropped my fork and before I could ask for another one, he had one. He must have heard it fall. That was eceptional service IMO. On the way out I met the owner who was very nice and charming. I love supporting good people.

Amazing! I don't know how I found this place but I'm happy I did. Lots of vegan options and the food was delicious. The place was constantly turning tables and had a line to get a table, always a good sign the food is good.

Visited for the first time on 4/6/21 for dinner. Chad greeted me promptly and sat me inside at my request. Very small restaurant with outdoor seating in a temporary structure. Ordered the Pad Thai Chicken @$15 it was excellent! Cooked to perfection! Will be back to try other dishes and will update this review. If you are a group make a reservation as there is limited indoor table service.

Small, cozy restaurant for good Thai food. Service is attentive and the food is delicious! One of the better Thai restaurants in NYC. Somehow we were able to grab a table without a reservation. I highly recommend trying the specials! I’m glad we tried this northern style vegetarian curry. Vegetarian curry puffs are tough to find and these were delicious. Portion sizes are ok.

Service: Despite arriving 15 minutes late for our reservation, the restaurant was nearly empty with two empty tables when we left. However, the waitress's comment about being on time was perceived as rude. Atmosphere: The restaurant offers a cozy ambiance but can get congested at times. The closely arranged tables make it challenging to move around. Food - As this was our 2nd visit we tasted many dishes which included Pad Thai (very sweet in taste), Pineapple Fried Rice (Wasn't very flavorful), Vegan Khao Nar Ped, and many more. The best among them were Vegan Khao Soi, Tom Kha Soup, Vegan Curry Puff, Pad See Ew, and Pad Kee Mao. While the prices were on the higher side, the portion sizes were sufficient to satisfy your appetite. Overall, despite some minor inconveniences, we would recommend this restaurant and plan to return in the future.

Thai food is something I resisted for many years. I'm not sure why. I just didn't get it. However, last year around this time, my boss took me to Glur for lunch. Wow. I was hooked. The mock duck is spectacular. I've gotten it in Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. I've never been disappointed. Their coffee is also great, though a little to sweet for my tastes. I'm used to drinking my coffee black. They have a Michelin Star. It's a small space for dining with big groups, but cute if it's just two.

The food was amazing, although it was a bit pricey, and the service was just okay. Unfortunately, I arrived 10 minutes before my wife, and even though there were some unoccupied tables, the waitress only allowed me to be seated when she arrived. After finally getting our table, it took a while for our orders to be taken. I don't blame the staff, as there was only one person serving tables, and the restaurant was full. However, once we placed our orders, the food arrived surprisingly fast, and it was absolutely delicious. I decided to try the Thai Lemon Ice Tea, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. We started with some vegan Chive pancakes as appetizers. For our main courses, my wife went with the Vegan Khao Soi. Unfortunately, I can't recall the name of the dish I ordered, but it came with broccoli, sliced chicken breast, rice, and a sweet and sour sauce. If we had to choose, we'd definitely recommend the Khao Soi. All in all, the food was excellent, albeit a bit on the pricey side. The only downside was the service, which could use some improvement.

This place has been on my list for all of their veggie options! We had to wait about 20 mins to get a table which was worth it. The mock duck is super flavorful and they don't go light on portions! We got the impossible larb and khoi soy, both delicious! Excited to go back and try more things!

I really like Glur!! It’s a small but cozy restaurant with really nice people working here. The green curry is creamy and nourishing. I also often order takeouts from here and the food is always good.

We loved this place! We went on a Saturday night around 6pm and had to wait around 15 minutes for a table because the place is small and seating is limited. The food was delicious and flavorful, the service was great and so kind, and the atmosphere was overall friendly and pleasant. The portion sizes seemed perfect. The only thing is we wished that some of the dishes had more vegetables/greens.

Because of my schedule, I come to Glur once a year, and think about them the rest of the time. In fact I have a calendar event set up so I will remember their address a year later. I love Thai food. But there is a sense of art and delicacy with everything Glur makes. This year around, I had my usual park mor and khannom tuay but I tried the duck tamarin. The portion is huge and the duck was beautifully fried. But the star of the show is the tamarind sauce. Their sauce is light, delicate and made without any thickener (I cannot tell you how delightful that is. I hate thickeners in all cuisines.) I wanted to drink that as a soup. Well… see you next year!

It is a small place to dine in. I liked every dish we had, even though the portion was small. I want to revisit this place and recommend this place to my friend!

Top notch dining experience. Really good Vegan and Vegetarian Thai food options. Multiple mock meats, veggies and tofu. Vegan items specifically called out in the menu.

The atmosphere and service was really nice! But the curry puff and green curry was not really the top. For food, I give 3. But maybe because I had really good curry puff in another place, and also I tried so many green curry before, I less appreciate those ones but it was like average taste.

Glur Thai’s extensive vegan options (they have Impossible Meat!) on the menu caught our attention so we decided to give it a try. It was an amazing experience and probably one of the best Thai food we’ve had (and we’ve had a decent amount of Thai food in North America)! Pad See Ew is our go-to dish but this is the first we’ve had with Impossible. Their pad see ew has the perfect amount of chewiness on their thick noodles, crispy gai lan and savoury Impossible beef for the extra protein! We also ordered the Khao Soi which is a curry noodle dish with soft chewy thin rice noodles and crispy noodles for some extra texture and crunch and their Vegan Kao Mun Gai Tod (a deep friend chick’n cutlet with ginger rice), and everything was absolutely delicious. It’s always nice to see restaurants being more inclusive with the vegan community so that everyone can enjoy eating out together despite their dietary restrictions 🥰 Check us out @vegeatswithya on IG for more vegan and vegetarian eats!

A little bit small but great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. Got som tum, chicken satay, pad ka prow chicken and pad Thai. Everything was delicious and had great flavors. Chicken for satay was a good size, not too thick or thin, and was very juicy. Pad Thai had really nice sauce , a slightly too sweet for my preference but it was so great, the noodle was perfectly cooked and did not fall apart to smaller pieces. Pad ka prow was a little bit too salty even after eating with rice . The staff were very generous to redo for us. Both times, they barely put enough basil leaves in the dish, so it didn't really feel like I was eating ka-prow, it felt like I was eating meat with garlic sauce instead. Definitely come here before rush hour dinner time. This place is packed very quickly. Price a little pricey but this is in city, not surprised.

We wanted to try some new Thai place in the city and this restaurant popped up as in the list on internet. I also took my sister who was visiting me from India to let her try Thai cuisine, fortunately this restaurant had lot of vegetarian options which were tasty. We ordered Pad Kee Maw and Red Curry in entree and they were delicious. We also enjoyed their Thai Iced Tea and vegetarian spring rolls. The decor and vibe of restaurant is refreshing and the service is top notch. The servers are very courteous and the food wait time is less even on Friday evening. We overall loved this place and would definitely try to visit the place again.

Excellent Thai food, not too greasy, well-balanced seasoning and tasteful decor. Some Thai restaurants look like night clubs which is also fun...this is not that vibe. We got the crab glass noodle special and papaya salad to share. Both were wonderful - PLENTY of crab in the noodle dish. Also love that it's a vegan-forward menu, but not fully vegan so those who are vegan can feel like they have a bounty of options and those with other dietary preferences also feel considered. A place with something good for everyone!

Vegan eats review: Friendly staff, attentive to water needs. Lots of vegan options. The curry puffs are an amazing fall appetizer. Crisp and savory. First time trying Daring Chicken. Has a meaty texture I was surprised with for a soy product. For those looking for a meat texture, check it out. I'll probably try the mock duck next time. Tempeh wasn't dry and added to the massaman curry. The food arrived fast. I didn't feel rushed to leave even with the busy night.
