Not my first Steakhouse in New York and so there is some level of comparison. We ordered a Porterhouse and Ribeye for four persons, two appetisers and two sides to share. Overall the meat is not bad but I think the searing was too charred to the point where it affects the overall taste of the meat. Would have preferred it to be seared to dark brown and not black. Portion wise was just nice for four person. The mash potato and spinach was good as well. Like most steakhouses, they have a good selection of wines and we ordered two bottles. Total bill came up to $850 which I suppose is normal. Service is good.. Very polite and efficient but not exactly friendly. But no issues there. They gave us free desserts - four different slices of cake, which was much appreciated. Overall was very good but not exceptional. As mentioned, should try other steakhouses to see the difference. Still a good place to go to experience it.

Food was divine! Our waiter Rossini was superb, attentive and friendly. The sliced bacon appetizer and steak was juicy, flavorful and delicious at every bite. Highly recommended and I will definitely return for more. We had a complimentary dessert as well.

This is a hidden Gem that should be on the top list of Nyc Steakhouses. First the service was 5 stars. Emil, Roccini, and Manager Vinny were by far the best out of all the premium Steakhouses. The food was exactly where you expect a top tier restaurant should be. The drinks were well balanced. The appetizers were fresh out the see. Sweat water taste. The steaks were aged properly and the marbling was spot on. The decor was ny modern and refreshing compared to some old Steakhouses. The menu had more options than what you would expect. I highly recommend this place over the others. 5 stars all around.

My mother and I wanted to find a steakhouse in Manhattan and we came across Rocco. The restaurant and waiters were great and brought great ambiance to our dining experience. The crab cake for the appetizer was delicious along with their cocktails. We ordered the porterhouse steak for two and it was spot on with their temperatures. Will definitely recommend this steakhouse and make a recommendation ahead of time to try out this place. Might bring my friends here next time and try their ribeye

Absolutely amazing steaks! We’ve visited this place with a party of eight and everyone had the perfect steak cooked on point. For the price you really get a lot of meat and also the sides tasted outstanding. The service war super fast and super friendly.

2nd time here and again for a birthday celebration with friends. The food here is really good, and one of the best tasting steak houses in the city. Service is always great and attentive, apps were tasty, drinks are good and steak is perfectly prepared. Even the desserts are yummy. Great spot for a group dinner, highly recommended!

1- Menu = 5/5. Very easy to read with many of the great steakhouse selections. 2- Reservations = 5/5. Depending on time of day you might want to plan ahead because this place fills up pretty quickly. 3 - Drinks = 5/5 Delivered to the table incredibly fast and made perfectly. Extensive wine selection to choose from. 4 - Food = 5/5. Everything from the beginning to the end regarding food was delicious. All of the Seafood tower's choices were fresh and presented well. All of our steaks which have included Portorhouse, Tomahawk ribeye steak are amazingly marblized and aged well. Sides are delicious and more than enough to share. Including their steakhouse Mac and cheese which is the best out of all the steakhouses we have visited in New York City. 5 - Service = 6/5. Service here is outstanding. Professional, polite and precise. Rocco’s service definitely separates this place from most restaurants in Manhatten. Simply amazing. 6 - Ambiance = 5/5. Decorated nicely, well designed restaurant. 7- Cleanliness = 5/5 Absolutely spotless. Dining area and bathrooms. 8- Dining space for patrons = 5/5 Plenty of space for dinners, which works out great because we order A-LOT of food . 9 - Cost = $$$$/ $$$$$. 4/5. High end steakhouse, prepare to pay 10 - Value = 5/5. Worth every penny. 11 - Location = 5/5. Accessible from all mass transit and walking distance for people who live in flatiron districts or close proximity.

Ribeye steak was good, thin crust of char (perhaps just a little too charred, more burnt taste than seared.). But all in all great flavor, the sort of meat that you don't need to cover up with spicy steak sauce. One ribeye was sufficient for two people. The real standouts though were the starters: onion soup and Rocco salad. The salad especially was colorful and flavorful with a huge variety of perfectly cubed finely chopped ingredients.

Our waiter Edin and manager Vinny made this an exceptional dining experience. From the moment we walked in Vinny was friendly and made us truly feel like family. The staff is a reflection of great management. They were friendly and attentive. Great selection of scotch, the sidecar was delicious, and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the lamb, the crab cake, and the shrimp scampi with pasta.

It's a big restaurant. this restaurant is very known. it was packed. we had reservations and we still had to wait to get a table but it was worth it. The food was good. The service was amazing. He was very attentive and everyone who came to service us was amazing too. This restaurant follow Corona virus protocols. They have mask on site. they have hand sanitizer everywhere. The prices is moderate for the food you getting. There drinks are good I love it. they are strong and you feel the liquor I like that. The dessert was very good. I will come back here again.

One of the best steak houses I've been to to this day! Everything was amazing! I had the ribeye cooked medium and my wife had the filet mignon. Both came out exceeding out expectations. The sauteed broccoli, best we've had. The mac and cheese and lobster mac and cheese equally delicious. Even the fries were perfect, didn't need any ketchup or sauces. And I can't say enough good things about the service, the staff was wonderful. Henry, you and your crew are piloting a very fine establishment.

Been going here since it has first opened. Place is bout-about-it. Favorite thing for me here are the accents. Some very nice Serbian tones when come here. I'm a lil creature of habit, so I always get a bone in rib-eye, feed my muscles and what not. Today though, done did tried the "lamb chopz". Slamming. Amazing. Key lime pie was almost like that time I was in Key West, pie binging. This place always brings it. Come here, come hungry, open your wallet.

Dined here last night and had a terrific experience. Not quite 5 stars but if I could give 4 1/2, I would. The ambience and energy were very much in line with the NYC steakhouse experience. Wine list was excellent. Service was top notch. Friendly, very attentive, and professional. Had the filet mignon and the sirloin. Both were terrific and prepared medium rare as asked. Came to the plate hot! Tasted great. A bit more chew in the sirloin than I’ve experienced and other fine steakhouses, but tasted great. Sides of mushrooms and sautéed asparagus were excellent. A slice of chocolate cake and whip cream was a very nice finish to share. Would definitely return and recommend Rocco’s!

The best steakhouse visited ever. First, you get into the bar / entrance area where a waiter welcomes you. For us we have been directly brought to our place which was more on the front of the restaurant near the bar area. Big plus was the room divider which separated the bar and dining area, which made it very cozy. Now coming to the most important part, the steaks. We have been 8 people with mixed steak experience. All of us have been tremendously impressed by the quality of the meat, as well how it was cooked and presented. It was just on point and how a piece of meat need to be made. Given this great experience, where also the waiter contributed very much, the price tag at the end was more than fair. Really good price value ratio you can find here! Special tip: The smashed potatoes as sides are a must do.

A perfect combination of old school steakhouse with a family run business warm atmosphere. I ordered New York Sirloin Steak and Lamb Chops. Plates are super hot and the experienced waiters titled the dishes to keep the extra oil out of the steak. Fresh, juicy---everyone was so satisfied. It is the best steak we have had in Manhattan.

I’ve been to Ny from Chicago many times and definitely have a list of 500 restaurants to check out. I never had this place on my list. We were in the neighborhood and got rejected by a 2 hour wait list and walked down the block. Needless to say it’s on my top list. I said let’s go in this steakhouse. It looks good. The fun begins from here. They said of course we have a table for you. Our waiter comes over and sees that my mother-in-law is Italian and starts speaking Italian to her. The rest is a magical evening. After he took our order he was singing Italian songs to our table all night. My mother-in-law was so impressed by the attention. This is great cause she is so hard to please in restaurants. They also cooked her sea bass to perfection and to her spec! I had the ribeye which was Devine and my wife and her mother got the sea bass. We also ordered the mushrooms, potatoes and veg sides. Everything was impeccable! I will go back here many times and kudos to their staff for all they do. They are all #1 in my book!

The picture does not do it justice. The steak was spectacular and perfectly medium rare, the greens were delicious as were the fries, the wine, the cheese the port. It was all very, very good. Service was excellent. It's now the gold standard benchmark for all steak houses as far as I'm concerned.

Staff was friendly and attentive. Decor was a little loungy but still cool. The food was actually very good but the issue was with the actual steak. I asked for a ribeye done medium well with a light char and instead I got no char. When I sent it back to get the light char, it was charred a bit much. Having gone to most nearly every top end steakhouse in NYC/L.I., this should NEVER happen. Still, the steak was flavorful and the sides quite good. Dessert was also on the house and the chocolate cake was excellent. This could have been a 4.5 rounded up to 5 but when a steakhouse has to have a steak sent back, it rounds down to a 4.

Came here last night - 12-30-22 After a rough start upon arrival at our reservation time (seemed like they forgot a table of 7 was arriving, and lady at check in area was rude and lied to my face about what was going on) However, the rest of the evening was lovely. Once we got situated in the dining area, the service was very good. Our main server made sure we were taken care of and when he finished his shift during our meal he even introduced us to the server taking over. One person at the table got the surf and turf (steak/lobster tail) and the tail was over cooked. They replaced it (of course) and second time around no issues. One person was vegetarian at the table and our main server even stated they could cook something off menu if we wanted. Excellent service considering some comparable places will just repeat what is on the menu. Highlights were the seafood tower, German potatoes, and steak. If you get the arugula pear/apple salad - also keep in mind to eat it with a little of everything - the dressing might taste a little sour if you just eat the arugula - but all together it is nice. The mood was energetic last night with several birthdays (we counted 3 or 4) and the staff does an amazing time singing for the birthday guests. Bar cocktails are great also! I know people like to compare restaurants (I mentally compared this restaurant to my experience at Gallaghers) and my conclusion was - a few things I liked better at Roccos and a couple at Gallaghers. Would definitely go back to Roccos based on food and dining room service. Front service (again) needs better communication and someone who does not lie to you. Plus, she was coughing - with no mask or into a napkins. Not even disinfecting her hands. Germs 🦠

To be completely honest the food was great, nothing special. Very disappointed to have my server walk up and take the bread that me and my wife were eating away when we had it on our plates without saying a word. Then we received our dinner which came out fairly quickly and was presented nicely, wasn’t asked if we need anything else. Again, just walked away when my wife wanted to order and additional side of mashed potatoes. So, we decided to be patient since there was a large party next to us that also needed their service, but after 25 minutes of making on and off eye contact with our server he never walked over to asked how the food was or if we needed anything else which at that point. I needed a refill on my drink and had to get up and ask for my server. Once we received our side we asked if we could speak to the manager. After another 25-30 minutes trying to be patient we realized our waiter wasn’t getting the manager and was avoiding us. At this point we are both beside ourselves and we’re completely disappointed with our experience which was expecting great food and service from a 4.8 star restaurant and a 4 hour drive to our hotel then to the restaurant for my wife’s first experience in NYC. The icing on the cake for this bad experience was; having to ask again to a different server for a manager in which he responded “what’s the problem”, and made my wife very uncomfortable because the server then appeared seeing have try to explain what was going on in front if the both of them like we are trying ti confront her then I had to ask the both of them to grab a manager! After an hour of trying to get a manager he finally came over and when we explained our problem with the service all he said was he will talk to them about it and said they never have complaints there which I find that hard to believe after our experience. After talking for a little bit he offered a dessert which my fiancé didn’t want because she was upset with being put in an uncomfortable position of a different server grabbing our waiter to ask what is wrong when we asked for a manager twice. Felt very disrespected and very unhappy with my wife’s first dinner in NYC.

Great steaks! Very high quality filet Mignon and the German potatoes / cream spinach sides were on point! Also gave us complimentary desserts as we were one of the last tables of the night. The apps and other sides were a bit subpar for elite steakhouses (especially the Canadian bacon and tartare). And it was pricey. But good service and steaks and core sides so 4.5/5 overall.

This is a personal privilege to me based on the prices, it is expensive and this is definitely somewhere you'd take someone on a date The steak was good but I felt like it could be better but I sure as hell ate all of it, it was huge Drinks were nice as well, if you want non-alcoholic options besides water you gotta ask specifically because it won't be on the menu I went on valentines day and we got carrot cake on the house which was very tasty ^_^

My wife and I traveled to New York City for our sixth anniversary and we enjoyed our final night here for dinner. We were welcomed with a pleasant greeting and were seated immediately. It was only a minute before someone came to greet us again and take drink orders, which came back quickly. We both knew what we wanted (medium rare dry aged ribeye as you can see posted), with a few sides. The steak was cooked perfectly, the sides were fantastic, and we were even given a complimentary slice of carrot cake with fresh fruit and whipped cream on the side. If I'm ever back in that area again, I will ABSOLUTELY be back.

Came for a very late dinner and everything felt fresh. Place was crowded, even at the bar. We didn’t get an Italian vibe but the steak was very, very good. And I just LOVED this chopped salad.

Went on a Wednesday evening. The service here is great, staff is very attentive and friendly. The porterhouse was pretty good but the seasoning was off, not enough salt on the seasoning. The sides were very oily had no taste, the French onion soup was very good. The ambiance is terrible, it was so cramped and loud. The main bar had a corporate happy hour going on. We were seated in the worse table sandwiched between two drunk large parties, my wife and I couldn’t even sit side by side. The seats are uncomfortable. Go somewhere else, for the price you are paying you really deserve to have a flawless cinematic experience, and Rocco’s wasn’t it.

This is a 12-Star-Place! The on-site dry-aged steaks are incredible. The steak fries are a class of its own. The service is outstanding. If you’re in NYC, have an evening there!

The food was good, I thoroughly enjoyed the Sea Bass, it had one of the best textures I've tried on this fish. Service was very attentive. The crowd that night was a bit loud, which isn't a bad thing just not what I expected. Overall really good restaurant.

Best steakhouse I’ve been to. Filet Mignon was amazing with the perfect crust on the outside and perfectly cooked medium rare. Crab meat cocktail was extremely fresh seafood and they were nice enough to include a few sides on the house

This is simply the best steak I’ve ever had. But it doesn’t end up there. Service is outstanding and goes far beyond expectations. Definitely looking forward to visit this steakhouse again and again when visiting New York. Regarding $$$, our bill was $250 for a party of 4, including alcoholic drinks and dessert which in my opinion is definitely worth it.

Can't say enough about this place. My favorite NYC Steak House. The bone in rib eye is beyond! Highly recommend bacon appetizer, creamed spinache side and the Iceburge Wedge Salad. Make sure to indulge in desert worth the calories!

Me and my fiancé had an amazing experience in Rocco's. From the server all the way to the food! Ferrari, our server, kept us entertained without being over bearing. He was very nice to talk to and extremely joyful. This was our first time eating at a nicer place like this and Ferrari made sure to make us feel comfortable. We ordered the ribeye, NY strip steak, mashed potatoes and mushrooms. Every single item was absolutely delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly and the presentation of all the food was beautiful. They sang me happy birthday and served us the most delectable carrot cake. I will definitely bring back my family here as it was such a wonderful experience with delicious food. Thank you!
