We came here after a Broadway show and ordered to go. We ordered 4 items and received them fairly quick. I truly enjoyed my chick’n gyro and hubby enjoyed his mac & cheese. I also had an empanada, which was really yummy! We also had the chicken chopped cheese, which was okay, we preferred our other items better is all. I would definitely return when in the area and I recommend it to everyone vegetarian/vegan/curious!

Nice service. The food is very good, especially completely vegan, the fries were unfortunately way too salty, we especially recommend the drumsticks (they are intended for chicken wings) with a kind of wooden bone, very tasty and interesting. You can sit inside and outside (small area). Value for money is okay.

An amazing vegan place! Worth every penny, you won’t be disappointed. The food was so tasty and had a great portion. Staff was very nice. There is seating indoors/outdoors. Highly recommend. I will definitely come back to try everything on the menu.

Starting from the most important: the food!!! I love it. I tried the drumsticks and the giros, it was so good that now I would like to try everything on the menu. The attention was good, but I have to be honest, I did not like the place. it was tiny inside, was confusing because it is a money exchange place as well with no tables inside just a bar with chairs. Also, the picture shows outdoor seating however this just must be seasonal since it was not there at the time of my visit. So I guess next time I would do take away because I definitely will continue eating from this place.

This is the best vegan meal I've ever had. No question. The fries, the drumsticks, and the mac n cheese were all equally amazing. I can't wait to come back and try the entire menu!

The food was SOOO GOOD!! My parents are vegan so when we came to NYC we were so happy to have found this place! Their Mac and cheese was beyond delicious. The waiting room was also so cute and aesthetic. Definitely coming back here 10/10 would recommend.

Food was pretty good. It was a bit difficult to get in and out due to how people lined up blocking the main hallway when waiting for food, rather than waiting in the larger back room. Otherwise, atmosphere was great.

Love it! And totally recommend! Staff is nice, portions are big and food’s just delicious! I’m biggest french fries lover, love loaded fries even more. And i could give even 100more points for this place for being vegan! Mine falafel fries were epic! There’s not much seating space inside, but that’s not a big problem

Tried the chicken wings, chicken platter and seitan loaded fries. The chicken wings were so good! Super meaty texture and edible "bone". The platter and fries were also good and super filling, however they were too salty. Definitely recommend the wings!

I came here with my sister on Friday for meat-free-Friday. We got the platter and the loaded fries. There was a variety of food. The food is awesome. And I would take a friend here to try out for vegan food. The staffs here are so friendly. And also, the music is really great. This place accepts credit cards too.

Food was amazing especially with everything being vegetarian options. Vegan chicken is definitely a must try. Portion size especially for platters is more than sufficient for one person. The only issue is, the place lacks sitting options (very few)

I purchased a 10 piece chicken drumsticks meal with Buffalo sauce and ranch dressing. The drumsticks are phenomenal. My fiancé and I shared them as an afternoon snack. The restaurant is quite small with a few tables and benches although there is a larger outdoor seating area. Along with the delicious food, you can expect warm and friendly service. I would highly recommend this place for a quick bite and I can’t wait to try out other menu items.

This place is awesome. Incredible vegan food in a neighborhood where there's not many options. The overall spot is a tight squeeze, but there's seating in the back. The employees were super nice also. Apparently the take-out menu is a bit different than the menu on the wall, so its worth checking both for things like their awesome McChicken.

GO HERE IMMEDIATELY. Been vegan almost 8 years now, trust me, this is the best and most affordable food in Manhattan. They use sugar cane for the bone in the wings, which are a very good breaded soy tossed in very tasty sauce - the mac and cheese is super creamy, this ain't your standard basic mac. And the ice cream is amazing. All this with a drink, taxes and tip was like $40. Seriously, go there now!

We had a layover in New York for a few hours and came all the way from JFK to eat at this place. It did not disappoint! We had the chicken chopped cheese, the impossible chopped cheese, orangeaid, and Reese cup milkshake. For dessert we had a lemon poppy seed cookie, sugar cookie, and vegan twinkie. Everything was so good! Our favorites were the impossible chopped cheese, shake, and lemon poppy cookie. I wish I could come here all the time just for that chopped cheese. 10 out of 10! Would 1,000% recommend!

Insanely good plant based burgers, gyros, Mac n cheese, milkshakes and more right in the Midtown! My non-veggie friends couldn’t believe how delish the gyro and chicken sandwiches are. Milkshakes are made with soy milk. Love the counter style - just order, pick up and take home or eat in their little area in the back or outdoor seating also available. The food here is beyond amazing. I ordered a Chop cheese with a cookie and a lemonade . By far the best vegan meal I’ve had!!! Customer service is fantastic and I didn’t have to wait long for the meal. If you’re in the area this is definitely a must. You won’t be disappointed! And in the back there’s a cute insta backdrop 🤓

The customer service here is reason enough to try this place. The guys were all incredibly helpful. I even watched one guy run down the street trying to get a customer’s attention when she forgot something. The food was also delicious. I had the gyro and my mom got the bbq chicken mac n cheese. She’s not vegan, but she said the food tasted good. I thought mine was amazing! I also loved their juices so much that I ordered 2 in one sitting :)

Not only was the food ABSOLUTELY TO DIE FOR, but we sat outside under the heaters which was great! We ordered the loaded fries with chicken (100% recommended!), chicken gyro, Buffalo wings and VEGAN TWINKIES,,, we were hungry! Everything was delicious, and brought out to us where we sat! Ordering was simple and the prices were decent for the amount of food we got. In addition to amazing food, we were outside during the hiring process and had the opportunity to see just how caring the employee environment can be!

Vegan on the Fly is probably one of my favorite places to get food from. For those scared of the word “vegan”, you can’t even tell that the food is vegan. It’s delicious and very filling. It’s not particularly cheap, but it’s great value for what it is.

This. Was. Unbelievable. The place has limited seating just a warning if you’re a big party- I got the chopped cheese platter over fries and my boyfriend got the chopped cheese sandwich with fries and we both got drinks. All together it was about $53! 100000/10

Cute little spot I went with one of my Vegan friends and we loved the food. Staff is really nice as well. I got the falafel gyro and drumsticks. I would go back to try other items on the menu.

Visited here with two non-vegans and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. We got the chopped cheese sub, jerk chicken Mac bowl and BLT all of which was delicious and filling. The staff were amazing, allowing you time to decide what you’d like as well as providing recommendations when we asked. We would all visit again!!

The food at this place is absolutely fantastic!! I have been a vegetarian all of my life and I must say that this place is easily in the top 10 of the vegetarian food that I have eaten. We dined in, the atmosphere isn't a 5, but the food is so good you really don't care about the dining area lol. My sone got the vege chicken fries. The fries were perfectly seasoned, everything came together so well. I had the impossible chopped cheese.... mmmmmmm talk about soooooo good!!!! You won't be disappointed with what you get from this place.

My visit to Vegan on the Fly restaurant was a pleasant surprise. After an afternoon of shopping in the city, my two friends and I were looking for quick bite to eat. While I'm not a vegan myself, one of our friends is a vegetarian, so we decided to give this place a try. The menu caught our attention with their vegan offerings. It was like a halal/middle eastern spin with some of the options. I opted for the falafel platter, as Im a big fan of falafel. This meal exceeded my expectations. It was delicious but and also very filling. My friends ordered the drumsticks and loaded fries. I tried their meals and everything was tasty. The sauces were also very good! The white sauce/ranch sauce & harissa sauces. Lots of flavor. The service at Vegan on the Fly was also commendable. Despite the limited seating inside due to the restaurant's compact size, we managed to find a spot. Additionally, there was some outdoor seating available, Overall, I enjoyed my experience at Vegan on the Fly. It's a hidden gem for those looking to explore vegan cuisine, even if they're not vegan themselves. With a diverse and interesting menu, delicious food, and excellent service, I wholeheartedly recommend giving this spot a try.

I ordered the chicken gyro and it was just spectacular especially with added vegan cheese and pickles. Spicy and savory. The texture was perfect. The staff were so friendly and the interior of the restaurant was comfortable. They have a lighted sign which says "Wings are for flying not for frying", which made me smile endlessly. I cant praise this restaurant enough. Thank you Vegan On The Fly for promoting compassion for animals through your incredible food!

The food is great, but the dine in experience is not. They have no restrooms, no free water (you have to buy a water bottle), and the counter tops are uncomfortably high. Would recommend for takeout/delivery. I got the loaded fries, strawberry lemonade, and ncrib. The fries were great. The ncrib is good if you're craving that kind of flavor😜

Absolutely delicious!!! Even the fries alone are perfectly crispy and very well seasoned. Downside is that the seating area was a bit small, not enough chairs.

You know how some vegan meals don’t taste like anything? VOTF is the complete opposite! Great flavorful food and kind staff members. They were patient and made sure to answer any questions that we had. I’m not vegan but I would absolutely visit again!

This place is so cute! Hole in the wall type place with a nice outdoor seating area. I got the Vegan Chicken Cheese Sandwich, and it was delicious!! The bread was crisp and didn’t get soggy with the cheeze, even til the last bite! It has a cute Insta-friendly display inside as well. I would come here again!

We’re native New Yorkers who moved down to Florida about 2 years ago. We came up for a wedding, and couldn’t wait to try this place out. I grew up in Astoria eating gyros a few times a week so I had my hopes set really high. After a nightmare day of travel we finally got here and were absolutely blown away. We had a gyro each, mine with seitan and bacon, my wife with chicken, and a 10 piece bbq drumstick and everything was incredible. Beyond incredible actually. We’re here for a week, and we’ll be back a few more times, it’s that good. Also, shout out to the guys working there, they were super friendly, and genuinely concerned that people were enjoying the food. Going to miss this place when we fly back down

This has to be one of my best experiences in the city! Amazingly delicious, all ingredients prepped right there on the spot, super fresh. Very friendly and professional staff, loved the outdoor patio as well with heats. Oh one last thing, Guess what? Even if you are not vegan you would LOVE this spot as the taste is so well imitated to the real chicken or lamb. Can’t wait to go back.

As a non vegan, I can confidently say that the vegan meat and sauces they use here are very close to the texture and taste of their regular counterparts. My girlfriend loves all of their food especially their mac and cheese, and so far hasn’t had an item she hasn’t demolished in minutes. Hope they open more locations

Such great vibes and delicious food! The two people who took my order were down to earth and kind. Definitely a hole in the wall situation, but we were able to snag two seats inside their small seating area. I ordered an impossible chopped cheese and it was literally perfect. So excited to come back and try more!

Great spot whether you are vegan or not. Gyros and platters better than any place I have ever been to. I never thought halal food can ever taste this good, let alone vegan. Fresh, fast, and friendly. I enjoyed my seitan platter! I originally came in for the mac bowl but it’s a favorite so they often run out early. The staff are hospitable and would for sure recommend this spot if you want something quick and vegan in the area.
