Global Luxury Suites at The Arches in Bronx, New York never even gave us a room, despite already paying $255 for it PRIOR to our trip to New York. We paid just over $255 for 1 night, but got NO SERVICE in return whatsoever. We were only in New York for 2 days and this place completely ruined our only vacation. This company's so-called "24/7 line" didn't even answer the phone until my fourth or fifth time calling. When they finally DID decide to answer the phone, the person on the other line wasn't even from the Bronx location; they were answering from the location in Alabama and said that they would "send the Bronx location an email," also telling us that they "didn't know when the Bronx location would reach back" and even proceeded to ask if this message was "urgent" when we were literally STRANDED. I have never been more disappointed in my life. This business was unable to even meet the bare minimum of giving us a room. Thanks for leaving us stranded in New York and robbing us of $255. I will be taking legal action.

So let me tell you a fun little story about this company and these people here I booked the hotel accidentally in the Bronx. I meant to be staying in Brookland. I canceled it after 15 minutes and they refused to give me any of the money back that I have put down for an accidental booking. They said that it was my fault never even went to the resort I’m out $600 and they refused to give it back. I would highly recommend not going to this resort just due to the customer service and their overall lackluster care of individuals that might’ve accidentally booked it for literally 15 minutes. I kid you not it was 15 minutes . I am heavily disappointed and I hope that the customer service representatives in the human resources team try a little bit harder to be a little bit more compassionate and understanding. Also best of luck trying to get through to anybody if you have any complaints it’ll take you about 3 to 4 weeks to hear back.

This "hotel" ranks for top 3 most inept companies I've ever dealt with. I book a room, they ask me to upload a pic of my id, and I do that. I show up at the hotel, didn't realize I needed a code and there is no one to help you. Called there number, it's after hours and no one to help. So I'm left standing in the Bronx with 1000's of dollars in expensive equipment boxes. Had to find another hotel, and the parking downstairs charged me the daily rate for parking for 10 minutes. The next day I spent all day calling their customer service to figure things out. Finally get a room code, to my surprise (sarcasm) the code doesn't work. So I spend the next 45 minutes on the phone while they read off code numbers to try until one finally works. Hopefully I can get my $$ back for the night they left me on the streets.

This place was below my expectations. I was bitten by something while I slept in their bed(Room#308). I reached out and no one responded to my complaints. We couldn’t get in the front door because the password didn’t work for the front door. There was no one to reach around 9pm on a Monday. We were livid. Back to what I didn’t like: The room was small. As soon as you enter your room/apartment, you are in the bedroom. The kitchenette have a microwave with no plate. Instead, theres a plastic cake lid. The fridge comes to my thighs. The views is No good. Something bit me while asleep, as well as my husband. We searched for what bit me. I gave up, but we refused to sleep back in that bed. I wouldn’t give them another dime of mine. The room was itty bitty for it exaggerated name “Luxury Suites”.

I was hesitant to book this place with all the negative reviews, however that didn't reflect our stay at all. We had all the check-in instructions before we arrived and got in easily. The room was really clean and the bed was really big and comfortable. The walls were slightly scuffed but that didn't impact the stay. The only downside really is that the Bronx is quite far out in NYC, you are well connected with a nearby sub station but we ended up spending more on taxi's coming back in the night. Would recommend as good value for money.

I booked a room for my birthday through Expedia. I contacted the hotel a total of 3 times to ensure my stay would be perfect because of course it was for my birthday. The hotel cancelled my reservation a day before my arrival date. When I contact them to understand what happened, they tried to tell me I was the one who cancelled my reservation which would have been impossible because I booked it under “non refundable”. When I contact Expedia, they confirm to me that the hotel indeed cancelled my reservation. I then asked Expedia to call the hotel, see what explanation the hotel would give them. The Expedia representative asked me if I ever stayed at this establishment before and I said no, this would have been my first time. Come to find out apparently whoever represented the hotel told Expedia I was on a “list” to not be serviced and that’s why they cancelled my reservation. Neither I nor the Expedia representative could understand how that could be if I never stepped foot in that hotel. So when I call, the hotel tells me they don’t have such a list and that they are not responsible for my cancellation. Terrible, just terrible.

The building and the immediate surroundings are mediocre at best. 5 minute walk in any direction and the area can make someone visiting from away very uncomfortable. The place has everything you need, the building itself has lots to offer. Being from Canada we decided to only stay here two nights then found other accommodations. I’m not saying the area seemed unsafe, it just made my and I feel uncomfortable.

The reason for the 3 stars is because of the lack of onsite security or customer service assistance after 5. There is no concierge, nor do they give good instructions on how to enter your room during check in. We spent an hour trying to get in our room!! I enjoyed my first night but the second night a group of teens (10-20) were having a party in the room near ours. The smell of marijuana filled the hall, loud music all night, yelling and screaming, and they ran in and out the room. This is happening as i write this review at 11:56 p.m. We were unable to make a complaint as no one answers the emergency number. If they get 24hr security/concierge to assist with the customers stay this hotel would be top notch.

I booked a room through a third party, but never received the information to check into my room. I called the 24/7 number and they said they were having phone trouble connecting me to the people who could help me with the information to get in the room, but they were able to email them so they could call or email me back. I never received an email or call back. Now the number isn't working. I wonder how long it's gonna take for my refund being that not even the 3rd party I booked with can reach them. I never even set foot on the property. The ladies that did answer the phone to transfer me really tried to help me

Please never book this appartment. I booked a room and they did not reserve it. So I arrived at 10pm and got no place to sleep. I called expedia for 3 hours so that they can transfer me to a other hotel. This happened to many other guests as well

The room was cute and cozy for 2 ppl. It had a mini fridge with a small freezer compartment, a microwave, a cabinet that had bowls and utensils (forks and spoons), glasses (regular drinking, coffee mugs and wine), a welcome bag that had microwave popcorn, dish soap, laundry detergent and some other things. The bathroom was nice and had plenty of towel sets sealed in bags (extras also in the closet). Has a big flat screen TV you can log in to whatever apps and watch TV. The only thing was the patio wasn't as clean as it should be. This hotel they avoid you seeing and bumping into people. I think they should do better run throughs of the rooms after checkouts because the patio floor had a lot of bugs on it as well as dirt. Otherwise the stay was decent and quiet.

Misleading name ,not hotel No concierge, lobby, and no housekeeping Difficult to phone contact customer services Misleading photos on the website Small rooms fake balconies in the 3rd floor Don't waste your money on fake advertisements One thing more 1st day I contacted them twice someone said we will call you back ,2 hours in front of the alleged suites with no call back I called them again the password was not working, when I messaged them through booking they said we didn't have any call from you ( 2 different persons give answer to my calls already and since their answer on the 1st day ،I couldn't reach them again until I stopped calling completely and prayed not to need them during my stay ,I left one day earlier for sure without money refund as per their policy!,as it is intolerable stay . The area around is not comfortable. Never go there ,don't ruin your vacation. For a while, I was thinking of calling 911 to make a complaint, but it seems like legal theft of your money .

Fine hotel with a clean room. The reviews online prepared us for something very bad, but it's not the case. We had a perfectly good experience. You get what you pay for, and what you pay is not a lot for NY. Check-in and all other contact is not with a front desk but through email and/or phone. I get that this can be unsettling when something does go wrong. For us, it was all fine. The room we had (313) was neat and tidy and had a large balcony and kitchenette. There are some complementaries like coffee, a sponge etc. There is also tea, but no kettle and there was no soap or shampoo. For light sleepers, buy some earplugs and take a sleeping mask. Our room was right in front of a train track and storage yard with floodlights (on all night). The curtains will let trough light. Again, no issue for us, but be aware if you are sensitive for this. It's located in a newly developed part of the South Bronx, which is a multicultural neighborhood. The area is not that tidy or clean, but it's safe. Everyone is just minding their own business. The place is situated near two subway stations (<10 min walking), that can take you to Harlem, Manhattan and Brooklyn. Most sights are half an hour away by public transport + walk to and from stations. There are a couple of lovely bars, coffee places and restaurants around. Overall, perfectly good hotel when you don't want to spend ridiculous amounts of money and if you accept Central Park is not on your doorstep.

The access code that was given to me didn’t work it took two hours for customer service to fix it was given over 10 different codes until they got it right. The room was small no ice machine outside the hotel there was a lot of dog poop on the sidewalks. The price wasn’t worth it ok they had a balcony but can’t use it because it was cold. I booked on Priceline and the reviews are better by time I seen the reviews on google it was too late. If I seen the the google reviews wouldn’t have booked here.

i noticed it had tons of bad reviews & i almost didnt book here because of it but I wanted to leave a positive one, because my experience was a good one. Pros: Price: couldnt beat it, compared to what it cost to stay in the city, for most places for a train ride pass $34 We saved thousands so we could spend money on other attractions not lodging. Access: The directions to access the hotel were very clear and though there is no concierge desk, we had no issues getting to our room. easy subway access ~ 6 minute walk. Comfort: It was very spacious and clean. considering what space you get in the city this was a big win. Not only were rooms big enough for 4 adults, there was a small kitchenette for our snacks and left overs which was nice. Cons: Time: If you're seeking to spend a lot of time in the city as we did, it is a bit of train ride, plan for 30 minutes to NYC attractions and 50-1 hour minutes to brooklyn/ china town/ little italy area. But to that train stations are only about 6-7 ,minute walk from the hotel. so it was doable. location: ... eh, i felt safe overall, the area is a little run down so not a place im going to stroll through for sight seeing but not dangerous. communication: I did make a request for more towels and never received them, it would be nice to have better access for replenishing toiletries. overall, I do think this was a good hotel and safe and clean stay for anyone who doesnt want to spend all their money on lodging. :)
