UPDATE: 10/2423 Having now lived in Stuy Town for three months, I am in a better position to give a more informed review of what it is actually like to live here. My remarks about Tiffany Walker remain unchanged, she did a stellar job of finding is a clean, modern, and updated apartment, which we love. But, I am afraid I have downgraded my star rating from 5 stars to 3 stars. The main reasons for this are to do with noise. There is major facade work going on in our section of ST. Since we moved in they have been erecting the scaffolding for this work. It is incredibly noisy and the work goes on all day, every day from 8AM to 6PM. It is like living on a construction site. The attached phot was taken from my bedroom window. In addition, the sidewalk bridges that they are erecting make the area feel dark, enclosed and, now that winter is approaching, unsafe. I have heard that the scaffolding will likely be in place for years rather than months. I can only imagine that once the actual facade restoration begins it will be even noisier. We were not given the heads up about this work when we signed the lease. The other noise issue I have is with the students in the building. Many ST apartments are subdivided and let out to NY students. We have two such apartments on our floor and another directly above us. To be honest, I baulk at the rent I am paying each month to live in an environment that quite often feels like a college dorm. I have complained to ST about the noise from the apartment above but it has made no difference. They don't seem willing or able to do anything about it. This together with the construction noise really is detrimental to our quality of life here in ST and is something you should take into account if you ere considering moving here. W e have also been without hot water for part of two weekends within the past month - not good! If you are thinking of moving to Stuy Town, then I highly recommend that you contact Tiffany Walker (leasing agent). Tiffany helped us find the perfect apartment for our budget and took the time to guide us through the application process from start to finish. Although we have been in our apartment only a little over a week, I can say without hesitation that Stay Town is an amazing place to live. Our apartment is spacious and clean and has modern appliances and great finishes. The location is peaceful with lots and lots of open green space and wonderful community facilities. I especially like that utilities are included in our rent, that we have 45 days of preferential access to maintenance and repairs AND a year of free cable and wi-fi. What more could you ask for? Perhaps the only thing would be a slightly more affordable rent.

Stuytown is an anomaly in NYC. It is a tightly knit community which is thoroughly respected by everyone who lives, works or visits here. It is safe, clean and rich in beauty. We sit on 80 acres of well groomed property, a park in essence. There are amenities for all ages. Neighbors know and take care of each other. It's hard to explain, because it sounds too good to be true, but it's real. Guess you have to be here to believe it.

I had a wonderful experience with Stuytown Leasing. My partner and I are new to NYC and finding long term accommodation can be an arduous and challenging process. We had the pleasure of speaking to Tiffany who was extremely patient and kind with us, answering all of our questions and taking us around Stuytown to look at the various different vacant homes that suited our wants and needs. She even spent additional time with us to ensure we had access to the entire range of options to that we could make the best choice for us. She explained the end to end process and was transparent about everything. She always had our best interests at heart and we felt so comfortable every step of the way. We ended up putting an application through and was approved the following day. I cannot recommend Tiffany and Stuytown Leasing enough!

Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper Village (STPCV) is a wonderful place to live! It is an oasis within the City offering 84 acres of greenery and walking paths, fountains, playgrounds, and even an ice skating rink! There are so many amenities here. With its own private Security (in addition to the police), it is a fabulous place to live! There is such a sense of community here, and the Management is great and is very responsive. They also offer free concerts and free classes and a weekly farmers market, and it is pet-friendly! There are pickleball courts, basketball courts, and places to play soccer and practice golf! It’s like living in the suburbs in the heart of the City!

My husband and I have recently moved to Stuytown and our experience has been amazing so far! It’s a beautiful community filled with great people and amenities for everyone! So great to feel very safe and secure in this place 😊 especially with the holiday decorations and abundant foliage. The apartments also have heaps of space and we are thankful for our modern kitchen too! We would also like to thank Tiffany Walker for helping us get our apartment here! We had a very short time period to get a long term place and she has definitely saved us. She’s very knowledgeable about Stuytown, providing information that helped us make our choice with confidence. Thank you Tiffany for your friendly, caring, and easy going nature as well!

I have been so impressed by StuyTown from the minute we opened the door to move my daughter into her apartment in August 2023. It was perfectly pristine on move-in day, freshly painted and very welcoming. The long-distance move went off without a hitch. Every time we visit, the complex and buildings seem well-tended and clean. Plus the community feeling -- people always on the move, walking their pets and strollers, group activities on the grounds, the Sunday farm market, the chat groups to buy/sell stuff -- has really helped her feel acclimated in the big city. One big differentiator of StuyTown: the leasing office. First and foremost, tenants can rent an apartment without a broker. I had to fly on short notice from Chicago on a day-trip for apartment-hunting, but I could easily make an appointment and tour the models. During the tour, I could see many long-term residents and families coming and going. I realized that StuyTown offered the best bet for launching my daughter in NYC, finding a good roommate, and integrating as a transfer student into NYU. I could tell that she would be part of something bigger and better and more stable than a little studio in some random walk-up building. Even more importantly, the leasing agent can make a huge impact. I am especially grateful that I lucked into Tiffany Walker, the leasing agent who took me on the tour. She held my hand (figuratively) during every step of the online process that I had to complete long-distance, including sharing insights about the various apartment choices, floors, buildings and locations. She kept the application moving along, with patience for my foibles and attention to the timeline. She added the human touch and showed that she cared about doing a good job for the StuyTown community. Now we all feel happily ensconced in that community. My husband and I joke that we might just get an apartment for ourselves!

Changing this review completely. What a mess they have created from a leak on the roof. Anyone that enters makes a worse mess. I ask to withhold a portion of the rent until resolved and no response. I love living in PCV but the service is the worst. I will no longer allow entry into my apartment without me being home. Their workers track in dirt even though I was promised booties. I now have partial walls down without an end game. My ice maker was finally fixed since first week of November. Need I say more??

I really like living in Peter Cooper Village. It is a well-maintained and secure place - a haven in Manhattan. The staff are always courteous and respond well to requests. The location is great!

This is a great place to rent an apartment. The apartments are in great condition and the buildings are well kept but that is only a small part of the experience. Everything from the manicured lawns, public spaces, flag poles, private security and community events, playgrounds, and most of all the helpful and courteous staff make this an extraordinary place to live in NYC.

I've been living in StuyTown for 25 years, and I love it here! What I like the most is living in a community that feels cozy and welcome, and while in the middle of the city, we can enjoy the quiet of country life. I love waking up in the morning and in spring time the leaves of the trees come up to the seventh floor, and I can hear the birds at times. I feel safe, and I love the special events offered throughout the year.

It was such a gift to have been accepted into the Peter Cooper Village apartments. It is such a joy to be a part of such a beautiful community. All the workers are so kind and keep the place looking beautiful. Thank you so much for all your hard work. It is appreciated,

I moved here after 30 years of living in the East Village. There are many things I love at Peter Cooper/Stuyvesant Town. Management is most responsive. The best I've ever dealt with. It's clean. I call it Little Switzerland here (I grew up in Switzerland, so I know). It is very safe here. It is quiet and It's close to the vibrant East Village! East River ferry is a 5-minute walk. City bike station and bus are in front of my building. I can walk or bike to anywhere i need to go. Oh right, and I can ice skate all winter at the StuyTown ice rink. Oh, there is a green market every Sunday. Dogs are welcome. There is a paddle tennis/Pickleball and bocce court right outside my building. Amenities galore here! And last but not least. Thank you Jeremie. Real estate agent. Without you we wouldn't be at Peter Cooper. Beside your professionalism you gave us hope and courage to find what we were looking for.
