It was my first haircut in 9 months so I was a tad nervous but Shampoo on Ave B is a finely tuned MACHINE. Erik is the MAN! I came in here looking like a sheepdog and left feeling like a 1996 Javier Bardem..Or a 2001 Johnny Depp in Blow. I felt bad for Erik initially as I had no idea how to describe what I wanted. That has to be soooo annoying ahahahaha, but he absolutely NAILED it. I’m starting to think he has telepathic abilities. I also need to shoutout my girl Blanca who washed my hair. She was the sweetest most engaging lady and we was just sittin there talmbout life… Erik and Blanca are like Batman and Robin!

I’ve been coming to Shampoo Avenue B for 14 years - I started at their old location up the road- and have never had a bad haircut! My first hair stylist was so kind to allow my sleeping infant to join me and it made me a loyal customer for life. My infant, now teen, goes to Avenue B for her cuts, too! I’ve always kept my hair medium-long and it’s thick and wavy/curly. I come here for straight/blowout cuts. The hair stylists always tame and manage it. Sometimes we chat and sometimes I’m on my phone working. Either way, it’s always been a comfortable, clean, quick experience.

Made an appointment with Alex after seeing a few posts on Facebook and had a great experience!! I got my hair cut with long layers and face framing pieces. I loved the look and it was a good price. I would definitely come back!

Jennifer took the time to ask about my goals and gave expert advice. The cut she gave my curly hair was perfect, framing my face beautifully. The highlights she applied on my brunette hair was flawless, enhancing my features. The salon was clean and stylish, and the staff made sure I felt pampered throughout. Michael at Shampoo Avenue B is AMAZING! I have a hard time trusting people with my hair because I am really particular about it. I fully trust Michael to handle my highlights and he is able to take a vague ask and actualize exactly what his client is looking for! I will continue to go to Michael in the future because of his talent.

Had my first appointment with Angela. Came in for a consultation with her, and right away I knew that I could trust her with the look I desired. I asked for layered long bangs (a kind of Pamela Anderson look) and a mocha chocolate hair dye, and of course Angela understood the assignment and went above and beyond. Not only did she do such an amazing job and give the look I've always wanted, but she made me feel so great about myself. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a fabulous job.

Terrific customer service. This was my first time at the salon, and I didn’t love my cut. I contacted management and they refunded me once they understood my concerns. Just a note for other people — if you have curly hair, specifically go to the stylists here who specialize in it. They seem to have more expertise than those who are more general hairdressers.

Getting my hair professionally done was never something I did but I decided to go in on a whim one day and get a cut. I've been three times now, each time I've gotten my hair done by Robert and it's always amazing. The place itself is really nice which is a plus.
