What a building! What glorious architecture! The front elevation is one thing. The interiors are just breathtaking. Look at the ceiling. Look at the level of detail, the intricacies of design. A normal person couldn't have conceived this. This is godly work. Once you're done being awed by the grandeur of the place, you can also check out its exhibits. They aren't any less fascinating!

The National Museum of American Indians Is inside the Alexander Hamilton Customs House. Both are amazing! The Customs House has ONE tour a day at 1pm. Yvonne is amazing on Tuesdays but she speaks softly so if your hard of hearing you might go on another day. The history and architecture is astounding...Italian, Vermont and Swiss marble, oak floors ( In the Customs Office), most of the building is original! Truly a gem. There isn’t enough money to clean|restore the painting in the area they call the Rotonda. How can that be?...it’s a National Landmark. The Indian artifacts are amazing. The circle of dance exhibit is moderately fascinating. For a people who occupied this land before “Americans”, how is that there is so little art and history representation in New York or even the United States? Architect lovers...give this building your love...write the Governor of New York and write the New York State Representatives about giving some money to preserve the art and clean the building. Bring it back to its original state! Definitely worth your time!!

The items on display are gorgeous and prove a cultural point. For example: Why are our bowls so large? Because we invite everyone in the Pueblo to join us when we cook. It’s a beautiful space. I put it on my 50 best quiet places in NYC.

Architecturally I thought it was nicer than the White House. What a history we have.

I recommend a bus tour while visiting New York city - USA a fun time with the family and relatives . Alexander Hamilton U.S. Custom house is a building in New York City built in 1902–1907 by the federal government to house the duty collection operations for the Port of New York. Fantastic .

An amazing building to visit if you down near Battery park and the financial district. We arrived just before midday and joined the free midday building tour and heard lots of stories of the history of the building and artworks.

I just talked to the most horrible man about getting an appointment scheduled for my Global Entry application. I started with "good morning, how are you?" and he was nasty right from the start. I could barely get a word in. Go find another job if talking to polite people on the phone pains you that much.

Please find someone more adept at human interaction to answer the phones. If people could get what they needed from the website, they wouldn’t be calling.

I’m reviewing the Global Entry Interview process here, which is incredibly disorganized and rather frustrating. Make sure you set aside several hours if you decide to schedule your interview here - while the interview itself takes about two minutes, you’ll be waiting around forever with very little direction from the agent managing the process (if you can even call it managing). My interviewer was pleasant enough, but many of the people working here (particularly the agent escorting us to and from our interviews) seem to be on a power trip and strive to be as unpleasant as possible. Unfortunately, it’s this or JFK, so I think it really comes down to which location is less inconvenient for you.
