The Bug Carousel in the Bronx Zoo is a must visit if you have small kids. Its not only fun for the kids, parents get to take a break from the endless walk. Right next to the food court it's actually a great activity right before or after lunch. Members get a discount and if you've got a coupon.

This is a beautiful carousel. They have little bugs to ride on, many of which the kids relish showing off their knowledge of what bug is called what. A huge hit with the kids and people of all ages, it sits in the Bronx Zoo. I believe, due to covid-19, it's not in service, but I eagerly await its reopening!

My kids loved and so did i ! I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THE MEMBERSHIP TOTAL EXPERIENCE BECAUSE IT PAYS ITS SELF IN 2 VISITS IF YOUR A BIG FAMILY OF 5 AND HAVE SMALL CHILDREN!! MY 3 YR OLD LOVES THE PLACE AND HAVE BEEN TO THE ZOO 7 TIMES ALREADY! GREAT PLACE TO TAKE A WALK IN NATURE YET CLOSE TO THE CITY SO ITS EASY TO GET TO. IF YOU GO AND YOU SEE THE LINE LONG DONT BE SCARED TO WAIT IT MOVES FAST

The kids (& even adults) LOVE the bug carousel!! It's nice to have something different, riding bugs instead of horses! Adorable and a nice change from the long zoo walking all day!

This was a fun ride! We visited the zoo on a Wednesday and there was nearly no line. We chose the grasshopper and the praying mantis; great size for adults. The whole thing makes for memorable pics, but it was a little bumpy and not incredibly comfortable. The ride lasts about five minutes. Check it out!

Free with membership ; otherwise you need all access ticket or an add on to your general admission. The carousel is simply gorgeous with the gigantic renditions of caterpillars, praying mantis and other insects. Enjoy the beautiful artistry of this unique carousel.

Using total experience gave us unlimited access to bug carousel. We were the only one to ride and kids loved it. Its fast and offers wide range of insects to ride.

Adorable ride for the little ones! Took a long time to get everyone on but was cute and well cared for. Not too pricey, highly recommend going while at the Bronx zoo.

Loads of fun for kids of all ages. Has various bugs to sit on and seats for those that don't want to sit on a beetle😁

Excellent, children love the carousel.

The line was extremely long. When we got on and I was strappong my daughter in a very rude woman took the bug next to us even though I was saving it. She refused to get off even though my daughter started crying. I had to move my daughter to another spot but the belt to strap her in was broken. No one even checked to make sure children were properly strapped in before starting the ride. The ride started and I had to hold my daughter from falling off the whole time. The ride needs to be redone and broken straps replaced.

As an adult it was a lot of fun!

Its a nice twist on the classic carousel. My son loved it.

I like the dung beetle the best. It's a great way for children of all ages to get over their phobias of insects. Charming.
