I am so happy this piece of history still exists! Great place to bring your kids to see the farm animals or to just walk the grounds. I come here daily to buy my vegetables, the quality and taste are amazing. The staff are so nice and take great pride in maintaining the farm. Please support this wonderful farm!

Queens County Farm Birthday party. Sharing this review as it was difficult to find reviews regarding birthday party. Your provided a pavilion with 6 tables and 12 benches. And luckily a table for cake decor table. Party packages includes. Hayride which public can go on as well with your party. Tour/animal feeding for the kids. You are on your own with a distant party host. Ensure you have all you need for your party. Would I do it ever again or recommend. For the price. Perhaps. Kids has a decent time.

Best place ever!!! My brother and Sis in law are nature lovers. So this farm was perfect for their picturesque wedding. Everyone absolutely adored the tranquil picture perfect surroundings, love the professional yet personable staff. Thanks to everyone who contributed to the Brown 2022 family wedding! It was a night we won't forget!

Visited for the Winter Lantern Festival. I was surprised at the amount of effort put into the decorations and displays. Kids will get a kick out of this and definitely a ton of spots for photo shoots. You can pace yourself and be done in 30-40 minutes but bundle up since it is cold and has to be done at night to appreciate all the lights! I added the wish jar option as a keepsake and well worth it.

Lovely illumination display for winter season. It does take about 30/40min to walk through and enjoy the scenery. Easy and free parking on site and around. Great for all ages. Some food vendors in sites.

Also known as Queens Farm, is a historic farm located on 47 acres between Floral Park & Glen Oaks in Queens, New York City. General admisión is free 354 days of the year except during special admission days. This is an awesome place to spend the day with family and of course the kids who can enjoy different events and programs according to the season. As for the fall public events happening now in October 2023, you can visit the amazing maize maze, hayrides & the pumpkin patch(these do require a ticket purchase which can be bought in person or online) they also offer little shops selling cider donuts, apples, apple cider and pies or the food trucks selling tacos, grilled corn, snacks, drinks and even sangria for the adults. Very important to know: you can buy a bag of hay available at the farm store to feed the animals but don’t give them donuts, pies, apples or any other foods that can harm them. I recommend this farm to families and kids.

This a great quiet place to spend a hour or two walking around the farm IF you are local to the area. If you are coming from more than 20-30 minutes away there are bigger better places to visit. There is nothing bad itself about the farm, the pay off is just not worth the potential time in traffic. We live in Brooklyn And it took us an hour to get there. An hour in traffic can easily take us to many places in Jersey and Long Island with many more animals and activities. If we lived in Queens we would visit frequently. An added bonus was the farm stand with fresh local produce.

Cute and nice farm Full of events, but u need to be up to date The hay ride is 6$ each .. is 8 minutes ride around the farm .. free under 2 years old Buy tickets from the store and the tractor is next to the cow's place, behind the bathroom Good to buy from the store to support them The best that the farm is free just can go walking into it freely enjoy the place with no fee at all if u planing to not buy anything Few animals like: 2 cows, chicken next to them. few sheep , 4 goats in the end at the left side before the soccer field , 2 pigs next to it And no more.

I went for the Chinese lantern light show in December. I thought it was just ok. It is pretty. A lot of the lanterns are showing their age, though. Quick walk through, and I was done. I did get pictures for you! I was happy that parking was free and the ticket to get in was pretty cheap too. All of the people working were super nice! DEFINITELY for families with small kids

We had a blast!!! The hayride was great. The best part was having the children interact with the animals. My daughter especially had a great time...she even wanted to go closer to see the bees 😂... highly recommend...we will definitely be back!

I went last year!!! My experience as of last year was that It was a beautiful experience! I had so much fun!!! This farm/museum offers hay rides, pumpkin patch, corn mazes and there are food vendors. The farm also sells donuts and apple cider. My only negative is that the pumpkins were in horrible condition. I couldn’t bring any of them home because they were all smashed. In the pictures, I had to turn them on their not so broken sides. Hopefully this year, that isn’t the same case. Overall, this farm offers a lot to see, there is no entrance fee and it was a marvelous experience. Check out their website for more details.

I love the Queens County Farm museum and always have. It’s a unique experience in Queens and well worth a visit to learn, pick up some farm goods, or to just meet the cute farm animals! This year I went through the Amazing Maize Maze and it was so much fun, I highly recommend it!

Visited the park for their annual Winter Lantern Festival which is totally charming. Kids will flip out for these huge animals and fantasy characters made of colorful silk and illuminated from within. Good food trucks serving arepas and tacos, or dumplings and hot dogs. Plenty of hot chocolate to keep everyone warm. Well priced live Christmas trees, wreaths and some toys for sale. Definitely fun and festive!

Nice location. Looks beautiful. They had a nice tent for events. Good place for catered gatherings. Big groups can come and enjoy. They have a hay ride but it was ok. The staff members were accommodating and helpful. Everything was clean and well maintained. Tables were nice. The tent saved everyone from the rain storm. I would recommend this place. Queens county farm museum is good.

A great place to visit. You can walk around this historic farm and see the animals and see which crops have been planted. They have an area where you can bring food scraps for compost. (the compost area is now near the entrance) You can buy fresh produce and eggs. They have many events throughout the year. Perfect for all ages.

Love the location , how relaxing it is, lots of activities from hay rides, feeding the animals, little library, etc. Free entrance except for large activities. While kids love their festivals, going when there's nothing on the schedule if almost a guarantee of quietness and tranquility. Sheep sheering in May brings crowds (only $15) but not too busy. Live music, food truck and craft activities for the kids!

We enjoyed the Illuminate the farm event, great for kids, but not really what I expected, we walked around and looked at everything in 30-40 min with my 2yo toddler going slow, they have a "food court" as they call it, nothing especial and very expensive ($7 a spiral fried potato) and also if you want to park in site it's $10 extra dollars. Since my daughter enjoyed herself very much here I'll recommend this event to kids mostly.

Stopped by to check out illuminate the farm at night, good for kids to walk around and they have a cool swing that lights up too! Only two so there’s usually a line, overall it’s not too crowded. Good to check out if you’re looking for a place to go!

Fun slice of agricultural history in Queens. This working farm turned museum has been an active agricultural unit since pre Revolution America. 1634 or so.impressive. Lots of happy looking chickens, a pretty sizeable apiary, goats, sheep and much more. Free most days, except when they have special exhibits, like sheep shearing or pumpkin picking. Great spot to bring kids for an outdoor adventure day. Pretty easy to find street parking around here.

If you love animals, here is a great place to visit! Free admission, get to feed and pet the cute animals for only $3 a pack of food. Alpacas were super cute and some goats loved a good massage. Don’t forget to bring mosquito repellent if you are a mosquito magnet like me.

Free entry. They have bathrooms. Nice and unique place in the middle of a fast paced area. They have different animals and Vegetables etc. Check out there website for more details. Next to the farm is a playground called CastleWood playground which has a pool and playground and sprinkler. See my review there for more details. Great combination for the kids, especially because u don't need to reload them in the car

Our family, especially my 4 yr old twins had so much fun in the farm yesterday. Lots of activities like pumpkin patch, hay ride, farm animals exposure, fresh veggies/produce, amazing corn maze. Variety of food trucks during weekend! Best pumpkin donut, hot cider and apple pies!!! Farm is clean, staff are courteous and warm. Free entrance to the farm. I only find the floral farm a bit overpriced for $20 per adult entrance fee for picture taking. Overall, worth the experience for the kids!

I enjoyed the Queens County Farm Museum. The historic buildings on site were interesting. I also enjoyed feeding the goats. The composting area and aviary were also interesting. The farm store/visitor center had some local food products for sale (pickles and hot sauce) that I purchased

I didn't go to the farm museum this time, so I cannot comment on that. We did, however, enjoy the limited run installation of The Floral Escape at the Queens County Farm. This was a wonderfully vibrant event. Thirteen beautiful backdrops to make you feel special and glow! Grab your tripod and strike a pose through the end of October 2021.

This is the perfect place to come with your family when you want to try different things. The staff is very kind, you can bring your kids to enjoy. They mostly have expositions about a certain topic. On my experience there was a flower exposition inspired in the holidays and the animals are there for you to see them.

The Winter Lantern Festival is a delightful event with something for everyone. I highly recommend it for families or a date night. Be sure to dress appropriately, though. Because we attended on a rainy night, we wore jeans and hiking boots. The pathways were quite muddy. All in all, we had a wonderful time.

Very cool Winter Lantern Festival! Tickets are cheaper in person than online. Get the $3 hot chocolate! It's vegan 😁 We really enjoyed ourselves and became like little kids with all the fun sculptures

This is not a huge one but good enough for little kids. More like animal themed and not very big. I would recommend little kids who like animals. I had seen another one few years ago in Staten island which was jaw dropping and huge. This is 1/4 of that exhibition. Good for little kids.

An absolutely fun place to spend the day, they followed guidelines due to Covid-19, so we all wore masks and took them off only for pictures and put the masks back on. The land is beautiful, the farm animals are adorable and the flower showcase was fantastic. My wife and I enjoyed it all, took tons of pictures and enjoyed the day relaxing. They had a little hub for food and drinks, reasonable prices and very warm and comforting customer service. Highly recommend 💜 definitely memorable.

I went to their Halloween event and it was rather disappointing. The hayride was very hard and was far away from everything. They had animals such as chickens, sheep, and cows but you weren’t allowed to feed them; just look. The food was mostly meat and Mexican so there’s not really a lot of options but they had a shop with apple themed foods and cookies. I would recommend going to a better farm since the price you pay isn’t really worth it.

I had a pleasant time with the family at the farm's winter ❄️ lantern festival. We found tickets on Groupon, which were easy to use. Several concession stands after the entrance offered food, drinks, or light-up toys for the kids. We got a hot chocolate for the chilly walk, which was rather pricey. Free parking was available on-site—Port O potty near the entrance. Arrive early to avoid heavier crowds. The area also has a play area, including swings and see saws for the kids. The walk took about 40 minutes. Be mindful that the pathways are narrow and the terrain is uneven. Great for photo opportunities.

I've lived near here my whole life but only recently started to visit. So far we've gone for pumpkin picking at Halloween, the light event during winter, and the Easter egg hunt.. all of which were inexpensive, beautiful, and so much fun! The events are well-organized and there's a ton of space for our daughter to run around. It's just a beautiful place to spend an afternoon.

I have come to this PowWow for several years. Even though it was very hot and humid, my 3 friends and I had a wonderful time enjoying the traditional dances performed by seniors down to the children. I have always been interested in Native American history and life. The vendors make their own clothes, moccasins, jewelry, and to many other items to mention to help them make a living and get through the winter. I feel happy supporting them. This yr I bought 2 lovely Indian summer dresses, and a silver cross! The big PowWow takes place in Southampton w the Chinnacock reservation indiand and others represented. I brought 7 bottles of frozen water to help us stay hydrated, and 5 PB&J sandwiches! 4 of them went in an hour.😭💜

This a very nice farm for it's location, however it is extremely overcrowded due to it's location. They charge 6$ for a little pumpkin ,whereas in other farms we've been too they have charged us 2$ for the same size. They have limited number of pumpkins and we barely got a good pic because it was extremely crowded. There's lots of good food places in the area, they don't let you feed the animals ,like at a zoo. There's a little nice big part where the hayrides happen that you can walk and there's less people which is the best part of it because you get to experience the open land and take great pics and not feel like ur at a crowded mall. They really need to invest in farming more pumpkins ,and control how to make the activities go faster because the lines were super crazy long. But you don't have to pay to get in, you just have to pay for the hayrides and food. However we didn't get to do any of that because the lines were way too long. Overall though it was nice to walk around and look at nature. There's parking available and accessible for strollers and young children.

It was a fabulous holiday experience especially on Christmas Eve. The weather was perfect wasn't crowded and we spent about 45 minutes to an hour. So much to see. A little disappointed that the hot chocolate truck and the hot beverages truck was closed. Other than that it was fabulous. They also needed to clean the bathrooms.

On NYC park land. Entry is always free except when they close gates for programs occupying the entire farm. Programs generally extra. Farmstand available for fresh food. Some things are necessary experience like the fall corn maize. Run by a not for profit. You can volunteer there.

It was very quiet there on that blue sky day. We visited the store and happily purchased honey, fresh eggs, a flower press, and lemon candy sticks! The honey is a bit expensive but local from Brooklyn and Argentina.

The museum/farm is a fun little excursion To take your family/friends to if you want a quick farm getaway without having to go outside of the city. The activities are pretty limited and unfortunately because everyone wants to just take pictures of the pumpkins on the pumpkin patch some might be pre-smashed. But the corn maze is exciting I can’t wait until the night challenge becomes available to try again. The plants and products are pretty good but if you want donuts, pies and such you need to arrive early as they run out pretty quick. All and all i would say for free it is absolutely worth a bus ride just don’t take the wrong one like I did.

  • 5/5 carl t. 2 years ago on Google
I really wanted to deduct a star because this lance gets soooo crowded in the weekends. But. It’s not their fault. And there is plenty of space for everyone. Just being some extra patience. I thought I took some photos that didn’t include my baby, but I guess not. Note: You need to buy separate tickets online for the special sections like the corn maze and Instagram garden.

I have been to this park twice before unfortunately I was not let in both times bc one time they were closing the park and the second time some event was happening that was nearly finished. Google maps don’t have their times but they close at everyday 5 pm I think. Finally went in yesterday and it was nice to walk around. I saw a family enjoying their birthday party in a tented area. There are a area for benches so you could have a picnic.

It's a great park and museum. They used to have a pair of llamas there the white named salt and the black Llama named pepper. I didn't see them this time... I hope they are okay. Feel like this is a hidden gem in Queens and a relic of the past. We come here to drop off compost every other week but we always take a detour and explore the farm. It’s beautiful, serene, and definitely something you wouldn’t expect to see in the middle of a Queens neighborhood. They also hold events every so often which are usually great including hayrides, a corn maze event, a petting zoo, among others.

I will definitely recommend this place.

You can park inside but outside there's plenty or time to park without paying for it. Entrance for farm animals is free to anyone except for special days when they do charge and sell tickets right there in place or in the website. Buy tickets in advance to avoid lines. The hay ride tickets are $5 bucks each and they are sold at the little shop located right in the entrance to the left hand. There you can find hot drinks, honey candies, etc. Big spacious place for kiddos to walk, learn about animals and enjoy family time.

Definitely recommend visiting, they also have a food vendor who sells some delicious treats, hot coco & tea. I even got a glimpse of some farm animals(also exciting). The stop on the bus gets you close enough to only have to walk a block. Definitely looking forward to going back to experience the whole farm!

We had a wonderful time and they needed bring back more food vendors. I know due to the Covid-19 their was no petting zoo. My grandson and neighbor was very upset. But the winded up having fun anyway. My daughter's coworkers came with his adopted son and have fun too. We hope to come back for Halloween festival. I also wanted my pies from the bakery store but they kept running out of them. I hope to get them early next time. It a big farm to take your kids and friends to explore and let the kids have fun. We come every year for my grandson's Birthday 🎂 🥳. He loves coming here. They should do something for the Birthday Kids. Just something special for them. Just suggestion

Overall okay, kind of lame. Definitely a chill place.

Nice place to escape the city, cute farm animals and its free. The only complaint is how small the farm is, its roughly 40-1hr to walk around if your walk snails pace, not a whole days activity

Expected fresh flowers, plants; all were artificial. Although, beautiful decorations. And Photo Op spaces.
