Wide, slightly curving stretch of beach fairly clean by New York City’s standards. Clear water with mellow surf. Nearby is a playground/park, and several business are on the boardwalk. This beach tends to attract less crowds and of better people than say nearby Brighton Beach, Coney Island or Rockaway in Queens.

Lots of people but a smaller beach with a shallow shore and spots are all nice! The neighborhood doesn't have street parking on weekends and holidays, so next time we would try to come on a weekday to avoid the $24 parking lot. There's a park nearby where there are lots of parties and barbecues, too.

Very cozy, beach area is pretty big but entrance to the water is pretty narrow. A lot dinning table under the trees. Even in that small spot you can practice social distance.)))).

It was a cool with the kids. Busy as heck but then these 3 ladies decided right infront of us was a good place to smoke weed infront of my kids! Not to mention the lifeguard station was right next to them and infront of us and nothing was done. So we left.. kind of killed the whole experience when I have my 4 year old and 12 year old..

Very nice mostly clean beach. Kid friendly. However no arms, and cash only for food bar. Public bathrooms, handicap accessible. You have to pay for parking.

We love this beach! No huge waves which is great if you have kids and you can walk 100 feet in and its still be above water. Its well kept and lifeguards are posted. The bathhouse is up and running and so is the concession stand. Daily parking is 7 bucks but weekends its 22 and there is NO parking in the area Saturday and Sundays so be prepared to walk or pay the high parking prices. WELL WORTH IT!

Nice place to have a rest and make barbecue. Sometimes is quite dirty and noisy.

Another NYC beach ruined by rude people playing loud bluetooth music. Calm waters and parking is cheaper than Riis Park on weekdays.

If this had been 25 years ago 5 stars. Now alot of trash goes here and destorys it. Garbage everywhere, smells like pot, loud music. Terrible because it once was an amzing place.

On the summer hot weekends, pace is packed. But you will find a spot. I like it here and trying to come during a weekday.

I like this beach. Not too many people. More clean than Brighton.

Even though the pictures show this beach as a tranquil space, it was lively and colorful! We went close to the closing time of the parking lot (8pm) so people had started leaving. The water was chilly but the waves were relaxing. There is a park with small water features. If you are in the area, drop by even for a short bit!

I love this beach! I've been going to this place since a baby and now I'm in my thirties. Love how small it is. The bathrooms and food service is super near. Like the tables and can grill. Plus you can fish and near by park. Oh and a parking lot that's not far either. Best to come on weekdays.

Always my go-to for so many years. Pleasant experience, less crowded, and significantly cleaner than Coney Island beach.
