For the past two years, I have been a loyal patient at your clinic, always ensuring that I have proper insurance coverage. During my previous visits, I was promptly registered and allowed access by your front desk team. However, I recently discovered that my insurance was not being properly verified, resulting in a balance of $200 on my account. I genuinely believe that patients should not bear the responsibility for any shortcomings in the insurance verification process carried out by your front desk team. It is imperative that they receive appropriate training to prevent such occurrences in the future. I kindly request that you address this matter promptly and take the necessary measures to retrain your front desk team on the importance of proper insurance verification procedures. It is crucial that patients can rely on the clinic's administration to accurately handle their insurance information.

I have had many challenges with this practice. The doctor did not refill the prescription even after a second visit, told me the meds she administered were covered by my insurance yet they were not and efforts to contact a manager have been futile. The staff though caring, do not seem competent.

On a blazing hot day this office visit was rather refreshing. I was greeted with a cold beverage of my choice and a clean cool reception area. The receptionist was pleasant and professional. I was there for my teenage son. The Doctor was very careful and kind. I was very satisfied and pleased with her. I will definitely refer all my friends and family.

My experience overall with my doctors is wonderful. My frustration comes from the receptionist. They are overall polite, I have been trying to get notes approved by my doctor to give to my job to excuse my absences. I have been trying to obtain these notes since August and still have received nothing. I came in person to get it printed a month after and they said they had it but they couldn’t access it. They said they would email it and still nothing. It is now November and they have yet to send the letters. I’m now being told that there was no letter that was approved by my doctor and that I would know how to schedule a follow up appointment with a different doctor to get this validated an approved. It is clear that the communication is lacked in the site, and I am no longer going to be visiting this location. I have received more help at the park slope location within the last hour than at this site. I have called emailed and come in person multiple times visited for multiple appointments.

Front desk staff was a pleasure, efficient and quick. P.A Betty Kui was highly unprofessional and disrespectful. After going over test results, I had further questions so after getting dressed, I saw she was sitting in an office with the door opened. I said “excuse me” no answer, I then knocked and said “excuse me” again, she then stared at me for two seconds and then proceeded to say “move back”. I was not in the office as I was standing in the hallway. I told her I had some questions and also wanted my medical records. She then states “that’s not how you ask for help”, how was I going to get help when she and the Medical assistant informed me that my visit was over and to return as needed. Betty asked me yo go inside the exam room again In which she stated that I was being rude, giving me attitude because I was requesting to see one of the doctors. Then D.R Gary Waterman came into the office, no help whatsoever. He just agreed there was nothing else to help me with even though I’ve had a recurring body rash flaring up for the past three years. The doctor even proceeded to pick up a call while I was speaking to him because he was expecting a call back. The call could have waited til my visit was over because it was a colleague returning his call about documents not being sent over. The colleague was not even at work anymore so that call wasn’t important as a patient should be at that point in time. I do not recommend this practice to anyone whatsoever and I will be picking up my medical records and remove myself from this practice

Everyone in the clinic is nice and helpful and knows what they’re doing. Starting off at the reception area, the lady was very welcoming and explained everything that needs to be filled out in the form. There was also no wait to be seen which is a great thing. Glad I actually came to this clinic and location. Will absolutely recommend this place to friends and family.

I was having some issues with keeping a scheduled appointment for me and my daughter. I reached out to Dr. Huang to cancel my appointment. Within the hour I received a phone call from Liz in billing. Liz assured me we could keep our appointments and apologize for any inconvenience. I was extremely happy. My daughter had to have a procedure done and refused to let anyone but Dr. Huang perform.it. Once we receive clarity that we would be seen it was the beginning to a great weekend. I truly appreciate all the professionalism shown to us by Dr. Huang and Liz. Thank you!!!

A beautiful sunset park location. The doctor came into the room with 3other people and didn’t introduce them. He began explaining what he saw to them. I had to ask for further clarification of what he saw In Lay man’s terms and what his course of treatment was going to be. I understand the need for med students to be trained but I should be asked for consent and the room ought to be larger to accommodate the 5 of us. This was uncomfortable also because the medical team did not have masks on and did not wash their hands prior to touching my face. Bedside manner was clearly deficient.

My first visit and everyone in the office made me feel comfortable, from the front desk receptionist to the assistant. As per Dr. Lam, she was sweetest and doesn’t rush. Definitely will recommend going to her.

From the moment I walked in, my experience here was very good. The front desk was helpful and friendly. I had an appointment with Yohanna who was very receptive to all my concerns and throughly explained all my questions. With her help she created a skin routine that would be customized to my skin needs so I’m very excited for what’s to come. Would recommend this place to a friend

I loved their text notifications and reminders 😊 I had one issue with the Park Slope office who initially booked me with a doctor who didn’t take my insurance, when I had specifically asked to be. I arrived at my appointment only to be told no one was available that took my insurance. If I wanted to see a doctor that took my insurance I’d have to reschedule and go to the Sunset Park office😱 so I rescheduled. Both site offices were clean, the staff members at both offices were friendly and Dr. Choudhury was great! He was very professional and knowledgeable 😊 Aside from the initial mix up, I am very happy with Dermatology Specialists and will be coming back here for my follow ups😊

I made an appointment overnight & it exceeded my Expectations. I was so happy to see it was less than 5 blocks away from my house and dr. lam was a sweetheart& very informative, as was the assisting Nurse. I definitely will recommend this place . I am satisfied with your service because I had 11:00 AM appointment and by 11:32 Am I was finished with the provider. Your staff are professional people. As soon as I open the entrance door and walk to the registration I felt welcome by you staff with a beautiful smile saying good morning how may I help you? Was very impressed with the professionalism and kindness of both the staff and doctor.

I am not sure why this place has a manager onsite . I have been trying to speak to a manager since Sunday and has yet used to contact me about my concern. The doctors are great however the rest of the team is horrible

Dr Christine Lam was incredibly kind and patient. The office was very clean and had cool artwork- not a necessity obviously, but set a nice tone for my visit. All staff that I interacted with were helpful and kind. I would highly recommend this practice.

The staff was SO FRIENDLY. Absolutely loved my encounter with Asma, she was super attentive and kind and it felt like my needs were definitely being taken into account. i felt listened to. She was noting down all my concerns, and was so reassuring. Absolutely LOVED her!! The PA and doctor were amazing as well. Love this location over all the other ones I visited, definitely sticking to Sunset Park.

Bright,clean, airy office with high ceilings, and attentive staff that maintain eye contact. Forms are neat, and used and clean pens were kept separate. Medical assistant was friendly and types fast. PA was calm and knowledgeable. Dr. Choudhury has always provided wonderful personalized care so I have followed him from office to office whenever I needed a dermatologist. He’s the best.

Upon entering the office , I was greeted by a very kind receptionist. She took my information and was very clear on the forms I had to fill out as a new patient. Once I was done with the forms she politely offered me water or seltzer water I could help myself to from their fridge , which I thought was super nice. The Dermatologist was very informative about my situation and I was very pleased with her diagnosis and recommendation . Awesome place to come to if you’re in need of a great dermatologist.

Today was worse than other visits. We arrived 10 minutes early, just to find out the person wasn’t coming in. When I asked why they didn’t call, receptionist stated “we didn’t know until this morning.” At 1:40, 20 minutes waiting a woman comes in waits 5 minutes and in she goes. I asked what happened we were here before her and it was “owe we will be with your son soon!” Now 1:56 still waiting and receptionist says “ owe your still waiting” at this point I am annoyed and worse when we went in the room woman who left and I was told wouldn’t be with us comes back, while the other lady taking our info was at a snails pace. It was a follow up with another issue and it was the inner part of his arms which they kept calling “hands.” It was the worst visit and frustrating because we could have easily rescheduled if they would have advised us that she wasn’t coming in. Yes my kid got meds but they did not read the notes prior to seeing us. Not going to this location again. No mask signs and people touch dirty pens, another woman took clean pen and put it right back.

I was suppose to be a new patient. I called asked do they take my insurance they said YES made me fill out a whole application over the phone for me and my daughter. Unfortunately, I did not have my insurance card at that time so, they told me to call them back with the numbers so they can verify my insurance. So, I did that when I got home. Now this is two different people I spoken to about my insurance and they said it was good. When I arrived at my appointment on time the same day. I was told they do not take my insurance. So, I wasted my time and could’ve been at a different dermatologist place. Now, the next day the company text me a sarcastic text message telling me I missed my appointment. They need to get everyone on board with what is going on because everyone there is seem to be making up their own rules.

I have had great experiences here. The doctors are knowledgeable, kind and made me feel comfortable. I’m always seen quickly and it’s a great space as well. Dr. Lam specifically was wonderful!

Update: after reaching out to management of this location they were super understanding of my situation and allowed me to come back free of charge . The manager yanerys is great and I am very grateful if their understanding . I went there for a cortisone shot for a big painful cyst this past Sunday. The PA only used a little bit of it and when I asked her to put more because in the past they (other providers ) inject twice, she refused. Five - six days later the cyst is still here and raised which historically it would have disappeared. It is still tender to touch. Very disappointed as I paid out of pocket for the whole syringe AND the office visit and she only injected a little bit and I’m left with bad and ineffective results. I think what’s worse is that the PA didn’t listen. I told her that in the past when I went to other dermatology specialists providers they’ve always injected twice because my cysts are huge. She didn’t even bother considering!! And I know my body. My regret is that I didn’t fight for myself hard enough. I basically wasted 200 bucks out of pocket .

So impressed with this practice - all of the staff are helpful and kind. My two unrelated issues were both addressed thoroughly and never felt rushed. Will be back!

I would give 5 stars but I just started my treatment but the attention is great and the doctors listen to you they dont rush you out they really do take care of you But most def. With my daughter it has been great and she is doing so much better from her dermatitis which was horrible at start felt so bad until we found this dermatologist and I thank god because to see your little girl say daddy i am normal again puts a smile

I’ve been going to this practice since 2019 and for the past months it has been a nightmare. After seeing the doctor it’s almost impossible to get prescription from them , at my visit they suggested an industrial pharmacy to handle my prescriptions. At first i was ok with that until 2 two weeks later i never got my prescriptions nor did I receive any correspondence from them. I called the office and let them know that i no longer wanted to use their pharmacy and wanted my prescriptions to be sent to the pharmacy of my choosing, its been 3 weeks since they been giving me a run around, each they confirmed they send in the pre authorization and my insurance confirmed they never received it. When I confronted them with the insurance on the line they admitted that the pre authorization was never sent and that i could just choose their pharmacy which I specifically said i did not want to multiple time , why are they forcing their pharmacy IT IS WITHIN A PATIENT’s RIGHTS TO CHOOSE A PHARMACY OF THEIR CHOICE and they should not be punished if they refused to use anything suggested. I guess its more about profit then it is about patients and choice means nothing.

Dr Lam was the best and her assistant as well. It was my first visit to her! And im already hoping ti get the most out of my first visit❤️

I strongly recommend against taking a child here. They have a practice of making appointments with doctors and setting up your child with a PA when you arrive with no advance notice, and it appears clear the doctor was never going to appear. It is deceptive and wrong, especially when dealing with pediatric patients seeking a specialist in pediatric dermatology.
