Good coffee place inside the shops at Hudson Yards

Great place for coffee and exceptional staff. I grab a cup to go quite often. I also enjoy the Mayan Mocha, it is infused with nutmeg, cocoa and cayenne. It's good but made better by topping it off with some cinnamon. Jack's also offer a few specialty food items for enjoying with your coffee and for taking home to enjoy.

Visited the Hudson Yards coffee shop on 9/25. This is the worst experience I have ever had in a coffee shop in NYC. I lady at the cash register was very polite but the two staff members( one girl and one guy) making the coffee were very rude. I ordered for a mocha and when I received it and took a sip, I found the coffee to be very bitter and so I requested one of the staff members to put some milk into the coffee to tone it down a little. They didn't want to put in some milk in the coffee. They gave me such a hard time with it. For some reason, just weren't interested in servicing me. They first told me that I had to wait till they finish what they were doing and then they told me that I would be charged for the little milk/cream I was asking for. I asked to speak to the manager and they were pointing at each other like they were some kids. I have never ever come across anything like this where a coffee shop charges for cream in the coffee. I don't mind paying for the cream but they should have been a little polite with me. I believe in karma and I know that the two employees with this attitude will not go very far in life. If the coffee shop doesn't reign in such employees, then it is definitely destined for failure in a cut throat market like NYC. I plan on never going back to Jack's again and will ensure that none of my friends and family do as well. Will stick to Starbucks. Also, made a huge mistake of tipping them when I ordered. Oh well. Karma will take care of this.

No line but multiple staff on their cellphones not paying attention. Look I get it, these devices will be our undoing as a species, but if your terminal is defaulted to asking me to tip you for the 30 seconds it took you to pour cold coffee into a plastic cup with dour impunity than excuse my lack of compassion when I try to awkwardly ask you how to make it a custom tip of 0. The coffee was super strong and not too acidic.

Nice espresso and coffee shop in Hudson Yards. The coffee is somewhat on the strong side compared to Starbucks and way stronger/harsher than bluebottle. However there was no line or waiting, and it felt like a family run shop rather than a big chain.

Hot chocolate ❤ best. Lovely and friendly staff. And smart decoration.

really rude staff, the man initially greeted us by saying he would be with us in a moment, then when he got my order wrong he shouted at me for interrupting his conversation with a friend who had come into the cafe. Very poor service, when i proceeded to display that I was upset he did not apologize or even acknowledge me. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone

Not the best service one expects at a coffee shop. I was the only customer there and waited for her to place my order. Her energy was the opposite of warm and inviting. But ok sometimes a person is having a bad day (except that it seems this is the norm here). I asked for an iced latte but the lady made a hot latte instead. I left feeling like a bother

Female barista was rude beyond imagination! Coffee was horrible. Will never go back nor will suggest anyone to. What is the point of hiring such a rude barista? To chase customers away!? Visiting date- Sept. 18th 2022

Very rude staff…. It was the first time that I saw a staff of a coffee shop yelling at the customer. When you asked for a straw, the staff was very impatient. The facial expression is like, excuse me? Why do you ask this stupid question? We do not have straw here. Also, when I tried to get some syrupy, the staff yelled at me loudly saying that I violated their health code….I was totally shocked by how rude the staff was… Worst experience.

They discriminate, coffee is so so. Dunkin is better.

They make water down coffee, shop at own risk.

Good Service and very good coffee. You can order your coffee and sit outside on the hallway and enjoys the Hudson Yard place.

I was here for ground coffee beans and they offered me a pre ground coffee bag. I wanted it for my V60 and barista recommended the same pre ground coffee for everything between filter coffee and espresso. Later they offered to freshly grind the beans for me at a coarser setting but when I got home I was surprised to see espresso fine ground. I was expecting the staff to be more knowledgeable or at least know how to use their own coffee grinder. I am left with a bag of coffee that I cannot use.

Vegan snack and rejuvenating coffee across from shake shack lol! Clean convenient stop & go spot on 4th Floor. Stop by to energize to visit rest of the mall!

Got a matcha here and it was super bland. It was literally full of ice and had the lowest amount of matcha of anyone I’ve gotten in the city. The colors are definitely not right. I don’t consider myself a particular matcha snob but when a drink now costs $7 or as much a meal, I expect some quality.

They have the best Mochas!!! I’m literally obsessed and crave them, they’re delicious 😋

5:30 P.M. "No espressos, no americanos... The bar is closed" while on her smartphone. Simply unprofessional.

Rude, lazy worker wouldn’t take my order cause it was 10 minutes until she closed. Don’t say you close at 8 and stop serving drinks 10 minutes before

Half of my hot chocolate was foam, and it tasted very watery, but the employee was super nice and helpful

Excellent coffee , I always get an ice mocha and a cappuccino for my friend . Fast and easy service 10/10.

Good quality coffee but very very bad service.

No complaints about Jack’s coffee, but I noticed a tip was added to my card after I left the shop. I wasn’t prompted to leave a tip when I tapped my card on the reader in-store otherwise I would’ve left one. Tips should not added without a customer’s consent. This doesn’t make me trust this business.

Coffee was delicious, however the wait time was just really long. When we were there, there was only one barista and he was taking his sweet time making the coffees. We waited a hot minute for 2 coffees. So did everybody else.

It was the worst hot chocolate I have ever had! It was lukewarm. It lacked in cocoa and flavor. It was like steamed milk with a pinch of cocoa.

Really bad coffee at really high prices. I had a mocha which was bitter and powdery to a unpleasant level. Service was bad the staff very clearly did not want to be working there when we visited.

Super awesome staff and always incredibly nice. Shawn is always a pleasure and everyone always goes above and beyond for the customers. Definitely my favorite coffee spot!!

Shawn and the rest of the team at Jack's are great! Best coffee and muffins in the area, and the customer service can't be beat.
