This place is definitely interesting. It has a lot of decor, the entrance is nice and it has a cool view of the Empire State Building. However, we were four people and ordered four drinks, the glasses are not glasses they are plastic cups which already feels a little odd. This is the first place in NYC where none of the four drinks were good, they probably used cheap alcohol… if they’re cutting costs on the container I cannot imagine on the drink itself. The food was okay… regular bar food nothing crazy. They price their drinks and food as high as any other actually good cocktail bar in the city. The service from our waiter was VERY SLOW, she never came back to check on us even when we were trying to order more food. The food was surprisingly quick (it came before our drinks which I don’t think is supposed to happen). I would have to say though the DJ is pretty good. The whole time the music was amazing. I would say the atmosphere and ambiance it’s probably the best thing about this place. If you’re drunk and wanna vibe at a decorated place with views but don’t really care about the quality of what they are serving you, this is the place for you. It kind of ruined the first night of our guests in the city…

Cute atmosphere. Nice to have drinks with friends. It was a rainy day so May not have gotten the full experience. But easy to find on GPS. Coat/bag check available. Elevator can hold about 6 to 7 people. The lady at the elevator had the best energy to me. The rest of the staff was pretty mediocre. They were polite but with a group they didn’t seem to happy about the size of the group. We were the first ones in the restaurant but it seemed we got out food after other groups that were there. So the food wasn’t as hot as it could’ve been and a few were cold. The big af croissant was hard and not warm. Just cute to take a picture of. The steak I added to my frittata was over cooked and didn’t have much flavor. $36 for 4 pieces of chicken and no sides was pretty outrageous in my opinion. Based of the menu and food quality you are indeed paying for the atmosphere and to take cute pictures . This is somewhere I would go for drinks only. Pancakes were good though.

This place was not worth the price. Stopped here for a bite after seeing a showing of Hadestown. First off the hostess was rude and very dismissive to our party, but we shook off her poor behavior under the assumption she was having a bad day. After being seated we were ignore for approximately 30 minutes, and when our server finally showed up, she showed up to tell to wait a while. Before coming to our table she was by the bar conversing with the bartender. The couple at the next table got up and left after telling us good luck with the server as they have been waiting longer than us. The food was not bad after she took the order it came out rather quickly and was what would expect. The menu was very limited . The drinks were properly made and tasted as they should. For rooftop bar on a Saturday evening, this place was pretty empty. After watching our server and a few of the staff’s behavior, we could see why. It was so bad that we followed in the foot steps of the couple sitting next to us and decided to go somewhere else after 1 drink and 2 appetizers. I was very disappointed.

Smooth reservation, booked online for Valentines weekend. Friendly staff, Beautiful decor, great drinks and food. The food menu could be a bit more lengthy to choose from. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Drinks were strong and pretty! Fries and shrimp tacos were delicious. I took so many beautiful photos, this is a great date spot! Beautiful ambiance and decor! Live DJ was great, this place is super fun for a girls night out.

Place is cute, you can definitely take cute pictures. I honestly thought that it’s more pink and girly. Drinks were nice and fancy, food was alright. But the service… we had to wait a very long time. We were trying to get attention of the staff but our server basically didn’t see us! And we’ve seen them standing and just chatting with other servers. This is definitely unacceptable and I don’t think that we’ll be there again.

Drinks and food were great! Expensive but all of NYC is! Loved loved the atmosphere! It had a great vibe and loved the view. The decor was fun and funky! Service was not great. It took a while for anyone to come over and take our order. When we did order drinks and food came out quick but no one ever came around to check on us or ask if wanted additional drinks. Had to wait and ask for our check. Other than that it was a fun place to spend with friends.

Hudson Guild's all staff event held here. Lovely rooftop venue. Plenty seating. Food tasty. DJ trendy beats. Nice place to gather safely above the city noise. Needs at least ambient lighting in the hall, bathrooms and elevator.

I've been here both day and night. Anytime the roof is not enclosed is best. The views are spectacular if it's open. It's a super cute place to go and take pictures. The drinks are tasty and seem to be getting better every time I come. I've never had the food so I can't attest to it. There's always a DJ day or night and the music is loud. So if you're going to take some pics and want some good music this is your spot. If you want a conversation than go elsewhere.

Bartenders were kind and the atmosphere is great! The menu leaves much to be desired. I would never pick sliders to eat at such a nice looking place or shrimp tacos but they were what was recommended to us. We were excited to play mini golf, but they closed it since Covid started and never brought it back out. We returned for the nightlife scene and with only reserved seating and no dancing to the loud music playing over every speaker, we left early. Still such a beautiful place, I recommend going for brunch with the gals.

We love this place. 🥰 I have been here twice with my friends. Very beautiful, everything is pink and rose.🩷💗 Even the dessert was pink and so was the punch, which was very delicious and alcoholic, strong. Everything here is real, not watered down.🍸🍹 For the first time, we had a table reservation and we got our own waiter, who was very nice and always came to ask what else we wanted. The second time we only sat down at the counter, but they were very attentive there too and we were given water.💦🎵🫶🏽

Visited this wonderful location as a part of a friends Bachelorette Weekend Festivities. This is a very picture worthy location and it definitely screams NYC. The ladies and I very much enjoyed our food and drinks. Their presentation of everything is just super cute. The service is great, attentive and pleasant. The food is delicious and they give a little more than other roof tops I've visited in the city. The prices were fairly normal for the middle of Manhattan. The atmosphere is perfect for a ladies night out in the city ✨️💕 We will certainly come back for other occasions!

The $20 drink was over priced. The pink pancakes had no taste at all. It was very bland. The huge croissant was hard. The chicken box taste as horrible as it looks in the picture. It wasn't done. The batter was strange. The grilled chicken in the ceasar salad was tough. The salmon was undercooked and the steak was overcooked. They didn't have a lot of items on the menu, including the fish tacos. The tables are low and small. Overall, we had a fun time taking pictures. I would love to see it at night.

Rooftop bars in NYC are all the rage and Magic Hour does not disappoint. First, I highly recommend placing reservations via OpenTable if you want to be let in. Since we came here during the pandemic, it just helped as I believe they were keeping track of how many people could come inside at a time. This rooftop bar is located at the Moxy Hotel near Times Square (give or take 5 blocks) and is part of TAO group, which owns a plethora of nightclubs throughout New York and Las Vegas. The best part about Magic Hour? It features the ever so rare AIR CONDITIONING for those hot and humid New York nights! Seriously, they saved my absolutely frizzy hair from being any more embarrassing than it already was and I cannot thank them enough for that. The bar itself is fairly small and does have a decent view of the Empire State Building. When we were seated, the hostess said a server would come by. About twenty minutes went on and we hadn't seen a soul so we just went up to the bar to open our tab. I love that they have quite an extensive menu here but they only had one of those Instagram-worthy frozen cocktails in a plastic bag here rightfully named "The Adult Party Pouch" for $23. Would I order it again? Not so much, but you do anything for the gram so I knew I had to order it. Additionally, they have this adorable photo op location which is some spinning platform decked out to whatever theme is going on at the moment. When we were there in September 2020, they had this gorgeous rose backdrop carousel theme and if it were not for my vertigo I would have gone there to take a few shots of my own. Overall, this is a great rooftop bar if you're in the Times Square area and I would give it another shot for brunch, but I do think there are a lot of other great bars in Manhattan so this one will just have to wait for my anticipated return!

It was a little hard to find. Once I got there I was told reservations only for the tables, even though there were plenty, they said they had a big group coming. And it seems like that kind of place. I walked up to the bar and ordered, there are no barstools though, so I was either going to stand or sit at a table that was reserved. I ordered some food, it was ok. Not bad, but nothing Im dreaming about. People come here for the photo opportunities, obviously. Lots of cute places to take pics and video. Including a booth that spins around.

I’m only giving it a four stars because it was a really nice place to be. I love the carousel. I love the little bushes you know it was a really nice place don’t get me wrong but the service was horrible. Very horrible. I asked for water they literally turned on the faucet filled up the water pitcher and gave it to me. Hot and all Didn’t even offer Ice 😮😮😡😡😡 With dirty glasses lipstick print, handprints, dirty smudges like as you could see in the pictures. I was horrified like in this dang day and age who gives faucet water???? If they didn’t have filtered water, they should’ve just said so. The service was horrible. I would give them one star just for that but the atmosphere is really nice. Just don’t ask for water and watch your glasses. Make sure there’s nobody else mouth print on it. And no I did not drink it just waned a clearer picture to see stains.

We enjoyed a drink and a snack here prior to a show at Madison Square Garden. The ambiance is very cool, starting with the maze to get to the elevator, all the way to the rotating marry-go-round-esque seating in one side of the bar. We found this place through a "Best Happy Hours in NYC" list. Unfortunately, we were informed after we sat down that there is no happy hour, which was disappointing. Regular priced drinks are in the $18-range. We each had a drink and shared the shrimp tacos and the truffle fries, both of which were very good. We sat at the bar since almost every table had a reserved sign on it (though very few of them were used during the hour we were there). The bartender was friendly, and definitely warmed up as our time there went on, even giving us the tip of checking out the Empire State Building from the open rooftop on the way to the bathroom. It is worth the trip for the ambiance and decor.

This is a great place to dine for many reasons- the ambiance, the vibe, the decor… the service was A1 and the energy was amazing in there (it was so PINK). We ate on the carousel; that was a decent experience!! Went for brunch for my sissy’s birthday!!! I will def recommend 10/10 for me.

Service is amazing, location is great, and the vibe is lively. Food menu is super limited, akin to a kids menu. Desserts are dry and overpriced. As are the drinks. Take advantage of the 25% off bottles during happy hour versus per glass cost. Def the place for taking pics and taking a lap. Not an intimate dinner date night place but great to take pics for social media.

It took us a while to find the entrance because we saw the hotel first and signs inside aren't very helpful. When we did finally find it, we saw the long line as expected for a Sunday afternoon but we gave it a shot anyway. We asked the doorman if we could just get drinks and he was very friendly and told us to come on in. The line to get into the elevator to get up is very, very hot but we survived. Everyone was very friendly during this process. We get up there and find tables filled with brunch goers all dressed up. We found refuge in the second bar where there were little tables. The barman there was very curt and said he was still setting up (he was "setting up" the whole time we were there). So we went to the main bar outside and ordered our drinks. The decorations and drinks are gimmicky but that's what makes it fun! We got three cocktails and all of them were amazing and didn't make me feel sick with sugar! It's fun watching all the creative drinks and food dishes come out.

The ambiance of this place is super nice! I loved it. The prices are really high and you don't get a lot for the money but the food is good. The music is ok. Wasn't really a Thursday night we are on a rooftop having a good time vibe. More so chill/elevator music. A DJ or better sound track would have been better. The service wasn't that great. We had to keep asking for the waitress or trying to find her. We had to ask for silverware and napkins. My friend asked for a dirtier martini and a shot of something and the other waitress came over and said "she didn't understand you". So instead of asking for clarity she just didn't bring it over and we had to ask another waitress. I would say try it out at least once. Get some dope pics. But I doubt I'd return any time soon.

Love this place. The ambience and atmosphere is amazing. Unique and interesting rooftop overlooking empire state building and the edge. You can go outside in the terrace as well. The staff are not really attentive and in their own world. Menu had limited options. Food was allright... bar Food style menu. Drinks & food pricey but understandable. Overall definitely recommend to experience at least once.

A great place to hang out with your entire gang or just your special someone, but you'd do well to think of Magic Hour as a wonderful bar more than expect it to be a great culinary experience. My wife did enjoy her Grilled Shrimp Tacos, and a couple of the fancy cocktails on the menu as well. Love the views here, the enormous space, the vibe, even the carousel seats! Got to visit again in the evening next time! You can also check out my review/feature on YouTube (armanikolas).

I'm not sure what other people are talking about, but this place is WILD! They are very organized and it is a wild experience from when you first enter the building, to the very end. The food was fantastic. Along with very scenic views. The drinks were lovely and they do virgin drinks of almost all of the ones they have available on their menu. Sadly, the servers were subpar. I had to ask for their attention from a busboy and he got the wrong girl. The servers also did not know if there were peanuts in certain items which made it very hard for someone with an allergy. Great place and a very friendly atmosphere. The price is great for the experience and food. The drinks are a little overpriced if you get them as cocktails. Mocktails were half priced for us.

Went for brunch with a reservation. We get there and have to wait in line just to get it. Then have to wait on another line just to get in the elevator and then another line at the hostess stand. probably waited a total of 25 mins. I think that’s ridiculous seeing as we had a reservation. The tables and chairs suck they’re all knee height so you basically end up putting your plate on your lap if you’re eating. Our waitress seemed like she didn’t want to be there also just saw a lot of employees using their phones. Waitress took our drink order then said she’d come back with our drinks and take our food order. Comes back with no drinks takes our order and our drinks and food came at the same time. The best part was the food and like pink photo area they had set up. giant croissant was cool and I shared the fried chicken that was good. Brunch menu was very limited. Would not come back.

I think we spent about 5 to 6 hours here and overall it was a great time catching up with friends and family we haven't seen in a while. The ambience was energetic and lively but at the same time we were still able to carry conversations without screaming to be heard. The view of the Empire State building is definitely a wow factor and a go-to photo opportunity for most people visiting. Service was overall really good and the drinks as well. The food was nothing to really write home about and I noticed nearby tables left ample food untouched. However, I don't think this is a place people go to for food. You go for the view, the experience and aesthetic. You go for the carousel photo, Empire State photo and maybe even a photo with a pink stack of pancakes adorned with cotton candy. As far as food goes I went with the beef sliders and fries but the entire table ordered pretty much the entire menu and we all shared amongst ourselves so we were able to try everything since the food menu is not very extensive. The guac and chips was a bit of a let down as I expected real guacamole but was met a strange flavor of store bought pre-packed guac. The only thing we didn't order was the pancake stacks and grilled chicken salad but I noticed two adjacent tables left both of these basically entirely untouched. All-in-all, it's a nice night out with food that will get the job done and a vibe that won't disappoint.

Such a beautiful atmosphere. Decor and ambiance 10/10. Drinks 8/10. Food 8/10. Staff were friendly and keep checking in with everyone. Will definitely come again.

Not bad! It is a huge space with plenty of photo opp spots, but I find it weird that you cant choose in which area you want to be seated (there were no private events when we were there). I really liked that they have a photo booth ($10) but the pictures turned out very cute. However, it’s more looks than substance, as drinks are pretty bland…

I recently visited Magic Hour Rooftop, a gorgeous rooftop restaurant located in the heart of the city. As I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by the friendly and welcoming bartender, Mas. He was happy to guide me through the menu. Speaking of the menu, it is small but mighty! There were a few select dishes, but each one was carefully crafted and had unique flavors. The food, I must say, was okay but the real star of the show was the cocktails. Mas and Cesar were happy to whip up some of their signature cocktails, which were not only stunning but tasted amazing. They were definitely the highlight of the night! Unfortunately can't say the same about security and the hosting team, the communication with them didn't feel welcoming. As for the music, it was good, but it was a bit loud. It was hard to hold a conversation at times, as it was slightly difficult to hear each other over the music. However, this didn't ruin the experience as there was a lively and energetic vibe to the restaurant. It would be the perfect spot for a fun night out with friends or a date night with a loved one. In conclusion, Magic Hour Rooftop is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for great cocktails. Mas and Cesar are wonderful bartenders who add to the overall experience, making you feel welcome and comfortable. The music may be a bit loud, but it's a minor aspect of the evening. All in all, I would recommend giving it a try!

Adorable place. Very cute and pretty. Great photo ops. Good music. Interesting people watching. Egg frittata was okay, not super flavorful. Pancakes were yummy. Mr. Pink cocktail was small but strong. More tart than sweet, which I like. Complaints: Sitting right by speakers so the music was very loud Had to ask for water and to order drinks A bit warm in the outdoor rooftop area (covered) Overall- some items are a bit overpriced, but that’s to be expected, not the best brunch ever, but I think most people go for the photo ops and vibes rather than the food and cocktails.

My friends and I came here last night with reservations for 9pm. We arrived were greeted and directed up and seated right away. However we waited about 35 minutes before we received our drinks. So being that it took so long we ordered our food and second drinks right away. Those took 45 minutes to come out! They could see the frustration on our faces and did right by not charging us for the second drinks. I tried not to let the reviews I had seen on Instagram sway mine. Thankfully they were very nice and attentive after that. The food was great very small selection of apps. Ambiance was great and it is a very pretty place to take pictures! I’m sure this place would be even better in the summer though.

Really enjoyed our brunch here. Cute decorations and photo ops and pink food and drinks! Fun and different! We were a group of 9 people. Our waitress, Melany, was attentive, nice and friendly!
