This is definitely the most I’ve overpaid for pasta at a restaurant. I thought this place would be good because of the reviews but sadly I was wrong. I got the shrimp linguine with garlic oil and it was honestly so bland. Even the butter had more flavor then the garlic oil. I can’t justify paying $36 for 5 shrimp cooked in pasta in garlic oil. The Chicken Alfredo was mid, I don’t think anyone can mess that up. The bread basket they bring out is also very sad. Cold hard bread and the butter was just regular butter. I would just save my money and go to the other Italian restaurants in Little Italy.

Beautiful restaurant with wonderful service! The staff is amazing and the food is to die for. It’s perfect if you want to celebrate. The waiter offered to take our pictures. There is no wait time and make sure to make a reservation. Their chocolate lava cake is delicious. Price and portions are reasonable.

A very spacious, well-decorated spot in Little Italy that is a great place to have a meal. We got rigatoni with a creamy vodka sauce, and the sauce was mind-blowingly delicious. The red wine and the Caesar salad was also very good, as was the focaccia. Very content with our time here!

We randomly stopped in this restaurant for dinner while we were in NYC for the day. We were drawn to all the Christmas decor and were immediately seated. You feel like you are stepping into a little piece of Italy when you come in. The service was fantastic. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of seating, this place is huge. The meals we got were: Gnocci Pesto, the meat ragu special (only on Sat/Sun), and the Chicken Shrimp Franchise. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and it was very filling. Absolutely loved the atmosphere!!

We had lunch at Il Cortile and we loved every aspect of it. We arrived on time and our table was ready outside, as we described in the reservation. Service was impeccable. Food was the best Italian we’ve ever had in NYC. Everything tasted deliciously fresh. We finished up with their homemade Tiramisu and we don’t regret. Amazing place with great food, service and affordable. A perk in Little Italy.

I decided to book here based on numerous reviews on NYC pages I follow on Facebook. This was by far the most recommended restaurant in Little Italy. This restaurant is huge on the inside and was decorated so lovely for the holiday season. Our server, Frank, was definitely the kindest server we have had in a long time, if not ever. The menu options are amazing and he was more than happy to help with recommendations. They were so accommodating and on top of everything. The food, especially the sauces were incredible!

We wanted the best food in Little Italy, and this may have been it. Aside from an extremely drunk customer at a nearby table (part of the local flavor), it was a great evening.

This Italian restaurant in Little Italy is a true masterpiece! The interior exudes charm and elegance, creating a cozy atmosphere that feels like home. The outdoor seating area is also nice, perfect for enjoying a meal under the stars. Exceptional service, delectable cuisine, and a perfect blend of ambiance – an unforgettable dining experience!

A beautiful Italian restaurant with delicious food in Little Italy - NYC🗽🍝 We had an untraditional Thanksgiving dinner here, and it did not disappoint! Atmosphere: The space has outdoor seating with a canopy over the tables, indoor seating in various rooms in the restaurant, and an indoor courtyard area. They have a small, unique seating area when you first come in that really sets the tone for the space (in a good way)! The courtyard area is in the back and provides a more secluded space for guests. Service: Our waiters were friendly and made sure that all of our drinks were constantly filled. The food came out quickly despite the busyness of the evening picking up. Menu items: They bring out a fresh assortment of bread at the beginning which helps to accommodate different preferences for everyone at the table. I got their Capellini Piselli e Prosciutto Speciali and loved it. The two things that I liked the most about the pasta was that the portion size was large and the pasta didn’t feel heavy in my stomach after I ate (and I ate the whole plate, hah)! Il Cortile provides a great dining experience! If you’re ever in Little Italy, it would be my recommendation to you!

We arrived early and walking through Little Italy was a treat! The hostess was polite and genuine. She sat us upstairs and we had the homemade sangria. It was so delicious! Then we were seated in the courtyard. Table with linens and heavy silverware. They brought us bread! A man strolled and played the violin. We ordered an Italian salad. Chicken parmigiana with vodka sauce, the Ragu with spare ribs meatballs, sausage, and special Sugo. Our daughter ordered the seafood pasta with lobster, clams and calamari. Pasta was cooked to perfection and the flavors were outstanding. Our waiter was Angelo. He was very professional. At the end of the night he served us a 20 year old Port wine. They treated us like family. Salute!

I’m a simple man of simple tastes but sometimes you have to go all out. This is probably the best Italian food I’ve had in a long time, and I’ve had all the Italian food all over NJ and NY. The owner was super friendly and super nice, stopping to greet us. The food is spectacular. Delicious and fulfilling. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. (I hear they’re gonna put a speak easy in the back soon). They also have an old school guy take pictures at the table and a guy with an accordion. You don’t get anywhere anywhere! All and all a wonderful experience and a delight. Don’t sleep on the dessert either.

Wow! Went here for restaurant week and absolutely loved it. Got a beautiful bread basket that I wish I could’ve had more of. Started with a white wine sangria and moscow mule. The sangria was nice and flavorful, and not too sweet. Our appetizers were the baked clams and caprese. The baked clams were out of this world! They were tiny and delectable. The caprese was really good as well. I got the pepite de gnocchi which was good, but I didn’t like something about the sauce. My partner got the capellini special and he had raving reviews! To finish it off we got a ricotta cheesecake and a chocolate and ricotta layered cheesecake which was phenomenal!! The servers were very attentive. Excited to go back again.

I don’t write positive reviews very often. The service here was second-to-none. The food was absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. Rigatoni vodka sauce was delicious. Meatball appetizer was so tasty. I also loved the vibe inside beneath the glass ceiling. I was very pleased with my choice in taking my wife here on our honeymoon.

My fiancé and I enjoyed a nice dinner here. Great atmosphere, live music, amazing food and great service. Would definitely recommend. My scallop plate was small but definitely had a great flavor.

One of the best pizzas I’ve ever had! This place has a very comforting and unique ambiance. I loved the staff, they were all very kind and energetic. Our food was top notch! We started off with a salad and some fried zucchini, they were both decent. But then we moved on to the entrees where we ordered the penne al vodka, margarita pizza and the spaghetti pesto. The pizza was just brilliant! Some of the best I’ve ever had - Super soft and crispy crust. The penne pasta was really really tasty too. The pesto was super fresh too! We ended with a tiramisu which was heavenly too! Would definitely recommend this place!

My first time here and the food, service, and atmosphere were great. I love Italian food and have been to Italy a few times. This was as close to being there as I’ve ever been. The flavors in the food were so good and delicately combined. I had the rigatoni with cream sauce and the flavors of the shiitake mushrooms, shallots, garlic, were so nicely balanced in the cream sauce it was fantastic. Meatball was also top notch.

Amazing experience. Most wonderful and generous staff. The owner even let us use his external phone charger during dinner. The wait staff was so kind and amazing. We had a band some in and play live Christmas music during our meal. The kids were entertained, the food was great, and the atmosphere was second to none. Highly recommended.

Great food and great atmosphere. The avocado bruschetta was amazing, we also had calamari which was hot and fresh. The wine was so good my husband and I took a photo of it. The pasta sauce was flavorful. Even the tiramisu and chocolate cake were divine. My brother and his wife actually dined here in Sept and recommended my husband and I to come here. Really great spot- will go again!

Right in the middle of Little Italy on the festive Mulberry St - offers a classic NYC Little Italy dining experience. Nothing is out of this world (though the eggplant rollatini was pretty good!) and everything is a tad bit too expensive for what you get but there is something about being in one of these Italian American restaurants that's feels nostalgic NY. A tourist trap to some, and a fun NY experience to others. We had a good time.

First time dining at the indoor garden. As you walk in, the statues & decor offer you a glimpse of Roman splendor. The moonlight cascading down from the skylight is breathtaking. We asked for recommendations from Manny the head chef. He was very accommodating & friendly to chat with. Our meal was exquisite and the service was exceptional. Had the pleasure of meeting Tommy the proprietor and enjoying a glass of wine recommended by him while waiting across the street 2 hours earlier. The Primitivo Riserva was so good I decided on a bottle for myself. Napa valley Caymus quality for 1/3 of the price. Fuhgeddaboudit 👍👍. IL Cortile is the “Creme de la creme” of Mulberry st. 🥇🥇

Absolutely brilliant service with every need attended to. Whilst we never felt bothered, we were given great advice on meals by the waiter, and had fast service on both the food and drinks. We ordered the beef carpaccio as the entrée/appetizer which was a special. The lobster ravioli and rigatoni speciale were both melt in your mouth and filling simultaneously! Food overall was very tasty

Il Cortile in Little Italy, NYC had the potential for a lovely date night, with the magical atmosphere of the neighborhood and a bustling ambiance inside the restaurant. However, despite booking through Yelp, our reservation didn't come through and we had to wait for about 10 minutes, which was handled efficiently. The Manhattans we started with were strong and enjoyable, and the fried mozzarella we shared was essentially deep-fried mozzarella toast. As someone who loves cooking, I found both the chicken parmigiana and spaghetti puttanesca underwhelming in terms of flavor and quality. However, the service was prompt and fantastic, the drinks were stiff, and the restaurant provided great opportunities for people-watching. Given its 4.3-star rating, I expected more from the food.

Absolutely a must. Solo traveler who strolled by and fell in love. If I lived closer i would be a regular. Best service and fantastic food. Open and welcoming environment with a very formal vibe. Fantastic wine menu. Could not be happier I stumbled upon this gem.

We've dined at this restaurant before, and once again, the food was delicious. The atmosphere is cozy, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings. The service was exceptional; the servers, though I didn't catch any names, were incredibly friendly, courteous, and helpful. However, I was disappointed when a server accidentally dropped a glass of cocktail, and the owner began yelling at them. So dear owner it's important to remember that we're all human and make mistakes. Food and restaurant are everywhere but the only reason why we keep coming to your restaurant is because of the hard work and the service provided by your employees.
