Hidden
fees,
varying
levels
of
service
from
staff/hotel,
and
broken
elevator/wifi.
Long
story
short:
Overall,
while
I
liked
the
room,
all
of
the
extra
junk
we
had
to
deal
with
for
a
"nice
hotel"
just
wasn't
worth
the
headache
and
worry.
When
my
wife
and
I
were
out
and
about,
we
would
dread
coming
back
to
the
hotel
at
the
end
of
the
night;
which
is
wild
to
think
about
considering
that
NYC
is
kind
of
crazy
and
smells
like
urine...
I
will
not
be
back
to
this
hotel,
and
I
would
not
recommend
anybody
I
know
to
stay
here.
If
you
are
booking
this
hotel,
be
warned
there
are
additional
fees
that
you
cannot
avoid
and
cannot
be
refunded
for.
They
charge
an
additional
$57
per
night
for
the
use
of
hotel
amenities,
breakfast,
and
a
$25
credit
for
the
hotel
restaurant.
This
was
majorly
inconvenient
because
1)
the
breakfast
the
hotel
offers
can
be
hit
or
miss,
2)
The
hotel
restaurant
doesn't
have
the
most
impressive
reviews
and
if
I'm
visiting
NYC
I
want
to
go
to
better
places
to
eat,
and
3)
if
I
have
no
interest
in
these
additional
amenities,
I
should
not
have
to
pay
a
couple
hundred
dollars
on
top
of
the
money
I
had
already
paid
to
book
the
room
a
week
earlier.
Also,
you
will
have
to
pay
about
$100
fee
per
night
of
your
stay
in
addition
to
the
amenity
fees
for
the
room
(in
case
something
gets
damaged
in
the
room)
and
when
we
checked
in
we
were
never
told
this
would
be
later
refunded
to
us.
The
first
two
days
of
our
trip
were
heavily
dampened
because
we're
suddenly
told,
after
having
already
booked
our
room,
that
we
now
have
to
pay
an
additional
$500
in
random
fees.
We
finally
asked
the
front
desk
worker,
Rachel
(who
was
an
excellent
point
of
contact
throughout
our
entire
trip,
thankfully!),
about
the
non-amenity
fees,
and
she
assured
us
that
$100
per
night
should
be
refunded
after
our
stay
assuming
we
didn't
damage
the
room.
While
I
appreciate
knowing
that
now,
I
just
wish
we
had
been
told
that
at
the
beginning
of
our
stay.
Now,
the
rooms
were
nice.
Really
nice.
I
had
no
issues
with
the
rooms
at
all.
There
was
one
day
where
nobody
came
to
clean
our
room,
which
my
wife
didn't
like,
but
I
personally
don't
care
too
much
as
long
as
it's
not
multiple
days
in
a
row.
Wifi:
I
had
no
clue
wifi
could
be
so
annoying
to
connect
to.
The
check-in
worker
even
gave
us
an
access
code,
and
I
typed
that
thing
in
forwards,
backwards,
capitalized,
un-capitalized,
spanish,
german,
everything,
and
could
not
connect
to
the
stupid
wifi.
I
just
used
my
data
the
entire
trip.
Finally,
the
cherry
on
top
was
that
of
the
two
elevators
in
this
20+
story
hotel,
one
of
them
broke
on
the
last
day.
So
waiting
and
riding
an
elevator
took
an
insanely
long
amount
of
time.
Overall,
while
I
liked
the
room,
all
of
the
extra
junk
we
had
to
deal
with
for
a
"nice
hotel"
just
wasn't
worth
the
headache
and
worry.
I
will
not
be
back,
and
I
would
not
recommend
anybody
I
know
to
stay
here.
