The first time that i ever called I got through so easily and everything was perfect, but when i got to the office for my first appointment I was sitting there for almost 40 minutes and the only reason I didn’t say anything beforehand was because I was busy doing something on my phone so I didn’t mind the extra wait time, as I had no other engagements. I had to go into the employee area to get the doctor as all the medical assistants left. How can there be patients in the waiting room and you all leave ? Now I get my prescriptions and I realize I had gotten something that I wasn’t expecting, so I call the office for clear instructions and was told each time that I’d be patched through to someone and I was never put through. Not only that, but my pharmacy needed the doctor to authorize something and they couldn’t reach the doctor either. It’s insane. Had I looked at the yelp reviews I would’ve never booked them. I will be putting this on the google reviews because it’s seems like they keep all the nice ones there.

I came to the office highly recommended by a co-worker. I can’t speak for the quality of care but I left before I could see a doctor due to the lack of professionalism the staff at the front desk (2nd building) displayed. I walked in with my child and we were the only patients in the waiting room, we were not acknowledged or greeted, after waiting for 5 minutes someone asked us if we wrote our name on the sign in sheet, only to find out we were in the wrong building. Customer service matters!

Dr. Jason Applebaum, M.D., demonstrated impressive knowledge and patiently addressed all my inquiries. The clinic team's professionalism and their efforts to ensure my comfort during the visit were noteworthy. I highly recommend their services.

I have no idea if the doctors at the Fresh Meadows office are any good as I never got a chance to see any of them. I made an appointment for 1:15 pm. At 2:30 pm, I let one of the receptionists know that I still wasn't called in. She apologized and said she would go see what's happening. She leaves her post and doesn't come back. 10 minutes later I look at the passage way to the rooms and I see her talking to one of the assistants. When she sees me looking at her, she backs away and hides. I went to another receptionist to tell her I was leaving. She asks for my name to cancel my appointment when I see my paperwork right in front of her. Terrible, terrible, terrible.

I’ve been going to the fresh meadows for the past 15 years for acne flare ups and chemical peels. My past experiences have been so well and good that recommendation has been extended to family, friends and coworkers. Recently in the past 2 years or so I do feel like the receptionists and medical staff need to more polite and conditioned and trained to work in an medical office setting. Appointments will take you roughly 2 plus hours at times cause they over book on top of that when seen the doctor roughly spends 8 to 10 minutes with you, usually not elevating your current condition but just looking at your pass records. It gets annoying when they don’t follow up on insurance coverage and send out incorrect invoices for payment (always ask for a receipt, cause they will bill you and your insurance). A few tweaks and this location of advance dermatology will be 5 stars.

The physician care and clinical staff care was very good. My main complaint is having to wait an hour and 10 min after my appointment. I arrived 10 min early but still waited over an hour to be seen.

It’s a great place to go. I’ve been a patient of Dr Susan Friedler on and off for almost two decade. The staffs are wonderful and nice. I would recommend this practice to family and friends.

I was in this clinic many years ago and despite the many years I did not go, they made and appointment for me and see me the same day. I try to see one of my doctor in the city and they never call me back but when I contacted Advanced Dermatology, P.C they were so polite and squeezed me for an appointment. I was devastated because after a Hernia repaired I developed shingle first I thought was spire bite but after few day developed something more looked in you tube because like I said my doctors never returned my phone call and I suspected was Shingles. Doctor Christopher confirmed my theory and sent some medicine to start the healing . Again Advanced Dermatology are great!!! All the doctors working on this location are GREAT!!!!

This place is horrible! Run far away. After my appointment they never wrote my script. I called this place up to twenty times to get my prescription filled from Nurse Practitioner Hauchouser. It’s been a month and no one has called me back. Also good luck getting through on the phone. They will leave you on hold for 30 minutes. Very unprofessional!

Great dermatologists at this practice. The only thing that is not great is the wait times. I have had to wait over 2 hours for some of the doctors but others I've only had to wait 15 minutes so it really depends on who you are seeing.

Really not happy with my experience. Ever since Dr. Smitley left, I feel as though I am not being given the service I deserve. Long wait times. I try to explain my skin concerns and ask questions but I only receive brief, general answers. Then I ask 3x before I leave if they refilled my prescriptions and they say yes. I go home just to find out they never sent over ANY refills. None. I call the office and they tell me the doctors super busy but isnt that something that should be done when the patient is there? Especially when they tell me to my face that they sent over the refills?? It has now been a full day and still no refills. Will have to call again tomorrow. Very unpleased.

My parents have been going here for a few years now, but after the last distasteful experience, I will take them someplace else. My mom was sent a bill for a service she did not get. I've contacted billing and they told me that because it is an office product, there is nothing they can do on their end and that I have to contact the office and talk to the manager, Rashminda. I've called everyday the past week and the front desk gave the same answers "oh she's not in today" or let me transfer you- and it would be to the call center. They are fraudulent and it takes forever for the supervisor or the manager to contact you back for any issues. I will have to go in person now and waste my time trying to handle this instead of it being solved over the phone. I've recommended friends to go here, but there are plenty of other dermatology offices out there that ARE responsive and value your time.

I wasn’t going to leave a review but since I got an automated text after my appointment asking for one, I’ll share my experience. The staff at this place is nice but I was overall disappointed in my experience since I had a 1pm appointment and wasn’t seen until around 3:30pm. I’ve never waited that long for an appointment in my life, I had to call out of my internship for school because of how late I was. Anyways, after waiting for my dermatologist in the exam room, they sent in a resident instead to examine me which he was pleasant but said he wasn’t sure what was the mark on my skin, then the resident spoke with my actual dermatologist about my case outside of the exam room. After waiting another 20 mins or so my dermatologist came in, didn’t even greet me, said “show me your wrist” and ran out again after a minute. It was extremely rushed and I had no chance to express my concerns about the additional problem areas of my skin. This happened at my last appointment too. She was also quick to prescribe me something before letting me inform her that I had already been using that cream and it wasn’t helping. My family has been going here for probably 20+ years and have always loved this place because of the great dermatologist we have had but the past couple of times I have been here my appointments were very rushed and I usually just have a resident see me for most of the visit, which if I’m paying to see my dermatologist I should be seeing my Dr. for the majority of the visit. Especially when waiting over 2 hours to be seen which really isn’t acceptable either. Honestly Im not even sure why my appointment was so rushed considering I was the last person in there, which was also because they took so many other people who came in after me before me and when I spoke up about it the staff was all confused. Definitely a disappointing experience to say the least and I’m hoping my future experience will be better.

Doctor John Troccoli and his staff are extremely unprofessional. While attempting to explain my symptoms I was laughed at and not taken serious. Left office in tears. Look into multiple doctors before putting your well being in the hands of this money hungry business.

I had bad experiences twice in a week. My son was a cash patient and supposed to see a doctor, but after waiting for 40 minutes, a PA got in and she said that she's gonna let the main doctor see my Son next time. I complained that he needs to see a doctor and later someone seems like a manager came to me that they're short on doctors and one doctor is here but he's about to leave the office. Then why did they make an appointment for my son in the first place? I didn't pay $150 to see a PA to tell me that he needs to be seen by a real doctor. They made another appointment for him the following week for Dr. Fox without charging extra. But we were waiting for 75 minutes and the receptionist kept tell us you're next only. They neither apologized for the delay nor tried to explain why we needed to wait for such a long hours. I never had experienced this bad before. I'll never go back to any advanced dermatology offices at all.

Wait time was less than five minutes. Receptionist was friendly and so was Dr. T's Assistant. Dr. Taglienti is great. He has a calm demeanor but is considerate and concerned about his patients well-being. I have only met him twice, however, I do plan to see him for a more intense procedure.

I went for a skin cancer screening, and after checking in with the receptionist, was called to the room 15 minutes before my scheduled appointment. Very efficient. Then, Christopher checked me for any irregularities, and after a brief friendly conversation, I was on my way. Excellent customer service.

Despite scheduling my appointment a month in advance, I was disappointed to be assigned a nurse practitioner, Ms. Hochhauser, with poor bedside manner. She addressed my ongoing issues dismissively, casually mentioning a potential autoimmune skin problem without much consideration for my feelings, describing it as her best guess. Instead of recommending a skin biopsy to confirm her theory, she made it sound like a drastic procedure. I lacked confidence in her ability and was prescribed a cream that exacerbated my itching. Furthermore, she disregarded our meeting time, forcing me to arrive three hours early to avoid being seen by someone less competent. I had hoped to see an actual doctor, and I believe this practice should improve, given its convenient location.

The bathroom is Dirty and Cold !!!This place is Not Professional at all, My Authorizations got Missed place and they made me wait two hours in the waiting room to eventually leave because I couldn’t see the doctor. I WOULD NEVER Recommended even to my worst enemy. Front staff has a lot to learn

I am so happy with the service i receive from Advanced Dermatology in Fresh Meadows. Sharon Hochhauser is excellent. She is kind, efficient, and knowledgeable. She is always willing to answer any questions thoroughly. She is a caring person and I feel very comfortable going to her. My wait time for her has always been under 15 min. The entire staff is friendly and courteous.

I truly love this place. From the moment I walk in, I know that I am cared for. The staff is truly professional and patient. A very special thanks to Sabrina, Jasmine, Stephanie, and all of the ladies who command the front desk. They are a delight and make any wait time fly by. By the time I enter the office, I feel absolutely welcomed and at ease. Ad Derm has rockstars in these ladies. The entire team is amazing. Chris is knowledgeable and has really helped improved my skin. In short, I have to look my best and I sincerely trust Advanced Dermatology to help me do so. I am so happened that they are part of my care team.

I went a while ago. Not crazy about this office. Waited a long time in the waiting area. I was indicating to the PA, not even a doctor, the problem area and she didn't even bother to look. She told me no need to look. I didn't bother to ever go back.

The waiting time is dreadful, once or twice is acceptable things Drs are allowed to run behind schedule but when it’s EVERY appointments it’s starting to be quite unprofessional and unacceptable, There’ve been multiple times where I have to cancel second appointments and change plans based on the long waits 2 hrs plus to see dermatologist (for a basic 10mins session). Nevertheless if you’re more than 20 mins appointment will get rescheduled. Unfortunately I’ve been with the practice for so long my stubbornness is refusing to switch. If time is important in your daily schedule PLEASE DONT CONSIDER THIS OFFICE FOR YOUR DERMATOLOGICAL SERVICE! PS : I like my PA.

Absolutely the worst medical office. It is like a mill. Nobody cares about the patient. They are always overbooked. There were times when we waited over two hours. The visits are rushed and they are not prepared for you. I had two appointment for my daughter for which I had to take two days off from work. The medication was not delivered for either one of them. Nobody bothered to check ahead of time to call us and at least let us know that the medication was not delivered yet. We had no choice so we rescheduled and before the second visit I called to confirm the medication was delivered and I received a confirmation that it was. Well...it wasn't. We were ask to reschedule for the third time. In addition my copay was collected ahead of time. They always make sure to charge you before you see the doctor. I called 4 times to ask to return my copay and I was told that they do not issue refunds. I was referred to the manager and after speaking with her I was told she will give me a call back and 3 month later I'm still waiting. Needless to say my insurance was billed for the first visit. I will be reporting this to my insurance and DFS. Crooks. Stay as far away as you can.

I’ve been to Advanced Dermatology for one of my daughters several times; this time I went for myself to remove a skin tag on my neck. Let me just say that the young lady at the front desk is lovely and kind. The young lady that took care of me once I was inside the room was very engaging and sweet. Dr. Byrne was the doctor that I saw and he so welcoming from the moment he walked into the room. He answered all of my questions patiently and removed the skin tags that I was concerned about. I can’t thank you ALL enough for an awesome experience yesterday. Thank you!!!!!

I remember going here a long time ago when I was younger. My mom and I had to wait nearly two hours (no joke) for the doctor to see us. The only reason I remember this place is because a long wait reminded me of it. I write this review because I had forgot to back then. It’s insane to see things still haven’t changed over a decade later and that other people are having to wait several hours for an appointment. Avoid this place unless you’re an extremely patient person.

My visit was good. As usual the reception area and staff are very friendly. The doctor and assistant were really good and to the point. It was also to see my old doctor. Everything overall was excellent. Thank you 🙏.

Comfortable, clean waiting room, short wait before seeing the Dr. The office assistants are friendly and helpful, as is the Dr's assistant. Examimg rooms are clean. The Dr. is very thorough (I like the fact that I've been seeing the same Dr., Dr. Despaltro, for many years so he knows my history), and I get a complete, careful and thorough examination. Any questions that I have the Dr. will gladly answer. The entire atmosphere there is nice and relaxed.

I was able to receive the help I needed. I was comfortable with the Dr. Angela at the Horace Harding Office. She knew her business. She was very encouraging. I actually prayed that the doctor I was going to see would be exactly like her. From the receptionist to the Doctor I was very happy with my care. I use to go there years ago. I'm so glad I returned.

I was seen by Dr. Chris within minutes of my arrival. The check-in desk had all my information on file, which saved a lot of time. Dr. Chris remembered me from past visits and was very attentive and responsive to my questions & concerns.

Waited nearly 2 hours. Will never return to this doctor who is using her practice as a training site for residents who do all the work. So she gets paid twice, once by my insurance and again as a teacher. Her bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired but I’m sure if I mentioned Botox or fillers it would have changed. STAY AWAY.

Run away from this place!!! If I could give less than one star I would. Trying to reach a live person is damn near impossible. All they care about is money. The PA looked at me, and before making a diagnosis, she asked me what was my insurance. Once I told her, she then recommended surgery. I called several times and kept getting transferred to voicemail. It wasn’t until I told them to cancel my surgery that an actual live human called to speak to me and an actual doctor offered to see me!!!! Again stay away!!!!!!

I have been under Dr Libranti's care for quite a while. I found that she is an extremely sincere provider. She won't prescribe a medication until she closes all seams for possible side effects. For example she wouldn't administer biologic until she makes sure that there's no internal infection. And I like her compassionate behavior to the patients.

  • 2/5 Dannette H. 10 months ago on Google
Dr. Friedler is GREAT, however the wait was RIDICULOUS! I had a 1pm appointment, I was not called to the back until 2:20 pm. The Dr. walked into my treatment room as soon as i got in and trued to leave, I convinced her to engage and provide me with a script. If not for her just walking in, I think I would've waited another 30 minutes. There was only one doctor seeing all patients. Advanced Dermatology you must do better.

The customer service experience was dreadful due to the secretary's indifference. I reached out after a nurse practitioner provided incorrect creams, worsening my skin disorder. When requesting to see a doctor for resolution, the receptionist informed me of a one-month wait without addressing my concerns. This practice could greatly benefit from improving its bedside manner and professionalism.

NP Sharon Hochhauser is incredibly kind and attentive. She takes time to listen to my concerns, doesn't rush and goes above and beyond for her patients, which is difficult to find with other dermatologists. She even orders additional testing just to rule out any other issues, and constantly follows up, to ensure the medication she prescribes is actually working. I'm so grateful for her, I will never go to another dermatologist!
