First time karaoke here in Korean town and I love it! the place is in the 3rd floor but thankfully there is an elevator. The place looks fun with all the colorful lights and the staff are super friendly. We paid $12/hr per person for 8 people. We didn’t buy any drinks or food. The restroom is clean with complimentary sanitary napkin if you need it :)

Best karaoke in New York I've been to. No frills - just fun! BYOB spot but you can purchase soju, beer, seltzers, etc. Great song selection but not much Disney if that's your vibe. Easy to queue up songs. Had a large, private room for 9 people and had plenty of room for dancing (we did make a reservation since the party was large). It was extremely well priced. Walk down a hallway and take some stairs and you're there (there is an elevator but was out service when we were there)! You'll know when you get there. Overall big fan, will definitely go back.

Loved it! Great service, very accommodating! Great drink menu reasonably priced and a broad song selection. I loved the decor the lights and colors. I loved walking on 32nd and seeing all the other restaurants and karaoke spots along the street. Great way to get there and get in the mood!

This place so amazing!!! Although it didn't have the most recent songs of the last 2 years the staff went above an beyond. One member of my group was in very bad shape and the staff were so helpful, they didn't make us feel like we were bothering them and never rushed us out of their establishment. I love that you can bring your own booze of your choosing and they give you ice buckets and cups. Everyone here was so nice I cannot wait to go back!

Staff were great, really fun evening. Remember to ask for the Korean module if you want a good selection of k-pop!

Gagopa is bring your own food and booze karaoke set up, with multiple private rooms for you to sing out all your kpop/theater kid fever dreams. It's on the third floor, tucked away down a hall and up the elevator. Service is great, rooms are clean and comfy, some selection is epic.

This is the worst experience I have ever had at a karaoke bar. I had booked via the website days in advance, and the day before I received confirmation for my reservation. I had to call, because on the website to original confirm my reservation the least amount of people I was allowed to book was 6, when on a different page of the website, there was a room availability for a 4 person group. But, that was only the beginning of my problems. 2 days in advance, I called 3 times. No response. The night before I called to see if I could change my reservation to 4 people. They answered the phone after another 3 calls - spaced out throughout the night. Once they answered, they changed my reservation. To confirm that I did not need to bring ID, I asked. And to which he said "No you do not". So, I assumed my friends and I did not need to bring ID as we were not ordering drinks there but bringing our own. The night of, there was a huge storm outside with thunder lightning, and floods of rain. After climbing 3 flights of stairs to Gagopa as the elevators were out of service, we were denied entry because we did not carry ID, as we assumed we did not need to. Not only were we not denied, we were urged to leave. When I tried to reason, explaining that it was my birthday and I had reserved the room and I had ID, I was snapped at by the employee and he told me to leave. If you are looking for a friendly place to have fun for the night, this is NOT the spot for that. I have never been disrespected like that before and I hope no one else has to.

The service is a mess. We arrived to the place after having struggles with the elevator and the security guard didn’t even let us get down asking if we had any reservations. We were confused as we went before without any reservation, and when we tried to ask they told us “if you don’t have any reservations you need to leave now, you can’t be holding the line”. We tried to ask again because we were panicking with the sudden statement and they signaled us to get back to the elevator without further explanation. I don’t recommend this karaoke to anyone.

Friendly, clean, good tech. BYOB is nice. They also have drinks available and there's a great restaurant downstairs to pickup from

Karaoke is easier with your friends! The small private room concept And massive catalog of songs, make for a great time. Also nothing beats byob. One of the best ways to break the shell with a new group of friends or co workers, or bonding experience with your forever friends. Service was a little slow in our instance, but seemed to run smoothly for others

Super fun BYOB karaoke spot. You can bring whatever you want and the staff will provide cups and ice. Good selection of songs although the remote is a little tricky to use. Just make sure you reserve enough time - the staff is nice but they get busy so if someone shows up to use the room they reserved you'll have to go.

We discovered Gagopa more than 10 years ago and it is still by far my go to karaoke spot in NYC. I'm so glad they made it through the pandemic! Somehow, they managed to keep prices down, staff is always accommodating, and they have a good selection of songs. The BYOB / BYOF is the icing on the cake. 10% off if you pay with cash.

Great place to byob and food but the karaoke library is limited unlike others nearby that allow you to use youtube.

It was ok, private rooms. Ok, song selection. I feel like they should update the music a bit. I'm not sure if there is an option to use your own karaoke songs ( dont think so). Be careful about going over time they charge by the minute if you do.

It is a neglected place, we went in winter and it was like an oven inside, the AC didn't work, it had very few songs to sing, it didn't have music in Spanish. I don't recommend this place. We left 15 minutes after entering.

They will add 5-10 extra for their tip without asking you. Make sure you do the math right and check your receipt I was aware of the 10% extra charge when you use a card. but the guy ended up adding his own tip when checking out. AVOID THIS PLACE

Had a great time with my friends. It was a birthday celebration and they gave us free champagne and let us light up our own cake. They had candles and plasticware as well. I just wish they had more of the recent kpop songs/ artists. Other then that we had a great time! I'm sure we'll be back again!

They squeezed our group in for an hour in-between their reservations because we had lucky timing. The karaoke was fun, clean, and had updated english songs and was easily searchable on our phones. The room was spacious and they even gave us little free snacks which was nice! They sell beers and seltzers at decent prices for Manhattan. Only thing is their weekend reservations fill up super fast!

Good. Gave it four stars for the limited selection and updated latin/Spanish songs. But, my daughter had fun nevertheless

Such a fun place. Super helpful staff too. They let you bring food and drinks into the rooms too.

Love Gagopa!! You can't beat a BYOB karaoke bar in Manhattan. The rooms are decorated with fun lights and there's a discount if you pay in cash. Went here with a large group for my bachelorette party and they upgraded us to a bigger room that wasn't being used.

Nice and friendly staff, clean rooms that have disco balls and lights, which made it a lot of fun. You can sing in English or in Chinese, Japanese, or Korean. The English system is a separate system from the rest, so if you want to sing in, say, Japanese you'll need to ask the staff member to switch over the system.

This has been my go to karaoke place for the past few years. Amazing memories have been made here. Great song selections, clean, big, and comfortable rooms. It's also BYO! Thank you for being one of the best karaoke places in NYC!

My coworkers and I came here for an end of the year party. The supervisors were paying for it ourselves so we were looking for a way to keep it reasonable, but all the other karaoke places we reached out to were either too small or WAAAAY expensive (maybe because it's holiday party season). Because Gagopa was BYOB, the cost was affordable and we had an AMAZING time. We originally booked for three hours but had so much fun we extended it to five. We ordered pizza, which was brought right up to our room and Gagopa supplied the plates, napkins, etc. The service was great, people came in periodically to check on us, clear out trash, etc. and a staff-member took photos of our group so we could all be included. They had every song we were looking for and the room we were in had five tambourines, which really made a difference. I cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be back!
