This park is full of illegals bums & junkies. If you could steer clear of it, don’t walk through it. It’s surrounded by bars, billion dollar condominiums, rich hipsters and across the street you can buy a bag of fentanyl or pills in the park from your $5000.00 a month 100 year building walk up . Ain’t gentrification grand. Day or night this park is a third world junkie bazaar

This place was a good park at one time ago when I was in my youth. But nowadays this place became a safe haven for homelessness & addict's. It's just a crying shame how this once Playground went from good to worse in matter of years. How sad are the time of times where our children can't get a decent playground and enjoy themselves to the fullest of their youth. We need to get together and get rid of these people's and regain our children's Park so that they can be safe and interact with one another without any worries... Let's get our children's Park back by eliminating these people's who are a problem to our Community...

Nice park, but a bit of an enclave for junkies and the homeless. It’s very open, so one doesn’t feel unsafe, but I wouldn’t come here at night.

Family friendly, clean, has children's play area, bathrooms are available in two locations, and lots to do even if you don't know anyone. Also, close to subway B and D line Grand st and F line Delancey st.

After celebrating my little sisters birthday with some dinner we decided to walk around a lil through some parks and digest. Walked through the beginning of this park from the upper higher streets and was attacked with two corona bottles by some random man. I am 7months pregnant and had my 17 year old sister with me and mom. We walked by a few ppl and after about a few seconds a corona bottle passed out feet, we were puzzled and looked back and saw a guy walking into the park with a box of empty coronas inside it and flung another one at our feet this time hitting my foot and bruising it from how hard it hit the front inner area of my foot. We crossed over to the other side of the park away from the man and walked back up the side street towards Ukrainian Village. The way he was walking and looking at us was definitely malicious and for no reason at that. We r all Ukrainian and I never felt so scared in my life. Be careful around that area.

There was lots of sports happening, we only walked about halfway down but saw at least 3 basketball courts and a soccer field. As well as at least 2 playgrounds. As far as I know, not a lot of green space. Cute area, fun time. There are bathrooms!! Clean but no TP when we went

Walked this park on the Lower East Side a hundred times and never noticed the basketball court. One day my guy hit me and said he was running a tournament during the summer. I had to support. When I came out, I realized it was right across the street from the Whole Foods. Super convenient since it was a little thick that day.

The park is old and worn the best things there are the Soccer field ,And the Basketball courts other than that they have a Citibkie station you can grab a Bike and navigate the City and learn about the Cities history or maybe even your own. The bathrooms belong to the night-time people of the park who sleeps on the benches they do what they want in there even though the Parks dept always try to maintain them and keep them clean.

Gorgeous if slightly unkempt park that dates back to when wealthy new yorkers donated their money to projects that enriched the life of less fortunates.yrs there are some homeless hanging out and you see the off rst or six, but the mature trees, thriving perennials and shady nooks make this an under appreciated gem.

This is an awful park. It's always filthy, and desperately needs its walkways repathed and benches replaced. It also has lots of junkies doing junkie things. Seriously, the last time I was there, I witnessed a dude smoking a crack pipe. The upside? It's a really long park, in terms of length, so there are lots of seats. Decent soccer field that attracts some fun games. And, if you chill on the Houston St side, you can view some fun pick up or organized basketball games (I saw David Harbour sitting on the steps there once). Otherwise, keep walking.

Quite unremarkable park. Useful for people living in the area, will probably never be on any visitor's itinerary.

It's OK. There is a construction in the surrounding areas and makes it hard to get by.

In describing my experience here I discovered that it echoes alot of what has already been said about this park. The park has potential, but on this day I could not appreciate it.

when it comes to GENUINELY finding a place—in which you will not be judged, you will find comfort at this park! there's open soccer fields, a track field, a few basketball courts, bathrooms with park staff that keep the bathrooms actually cleaned and stocked and always available benches. In NYC, there are always factors to make you choose to dislike somewhere. If you- *as tourist or tenant/resident of New York STATE* -understand the inclusivity of THE EARTH itself, you will find enjoyment. If nothing else, it's a great place to hang out by yourself and even do some karaoke at a decently respectful volume .
