Came to eat here with my family 5 times this year. We have been coming to this place for the last 8 years and I don’t understand why some times the food quality is better than other times, every time I have been there this year I have been disappointed, food is decreasing quality and prices are going up, even if you’re paying with cars they will charge you more. The size of the meat is ridiculous small and expensive. I will start looking for a new spot because this one is going down. They had a live singer that Sunday may 4 around 4 pm and the music was so loud that I had a headache all that night.

Everything on the menu is great, great decor, good music. Nice place to watch soccer games. Cozy bar area. Pros: Great food and service. I've been several times and never received rude service as others have stated. The Bolón is amazing...The Humitas smooth and cheezy. The steak, cooked and seasoned well. Cons: It's good for families, but not if you have a baby. There are NO CHANGING TABLES. I had to hold my son in the air while my wife changed him. Not a great experience. The upstairs bathroom is huge, so please install a changing table!

I went today for lunch. Vegetables cream had no flavour. Then I ordered Corvina with seafood sauce. Attached is the picture showing the piece of corvina they served to me. Unacceptable. The seafood was good though.

Lively feel good latin music, lunch time wasnt crowded and the food was delicious! Word to the wise 15% is included in your bill for tipping purposes which some people dont like but it made it easier for me at the end no math just pay!

Bad experience never again buying food here ordered food here and I found a hair on the food. Sanitation should see this bad .nasty hairs on food .

My experience in this place with my husband was amazing, excellent service the employees are very friendly the restaurant is very clean and beautiful And if you want a good drink ask for Giovanni he makes the best drinks and excellent customer service ! Loved the food here. It was ready pretty quickly. Attententive servers also.Very spacious and loved the setting inside. Actually has two sides to it, since I was there earlier in a weekday the other side was closed off, but it looks more like the bar dancing area that also has some seats.

Giovanni was the most courteous chivalrous waiter we have ever met. The attention that he gave to us was that equivalent to a 5 star service! You should definitely check out this restaurant if you want to have a great time, and enjoy some delicious food and music! The experience from beginning to end was exemplary! When you come here ask for Giovanni! Best place on Jamaica Ave! Omg I love this place!

At this point I don’t know why I even bother with this place, always something. To even take my time out to write a review is just absurd & out of character. But I feel as if the managers/owners should see this. Even though I’m pretty sure they’re very aware of how this place is being run with/without their presence. Funny thing is the staff doesn’t know who personally knows the owners or not. You can ALWAYS count on bad, slow, & rude service here. The food or drinks are either a hit or miss & never consistent. Then they have the audacity to add auto gratuity. They lie about their lunch special hours & prices in person. I then went outside to purposely call the restaurant to verify if what they were telling me was true but then they told me something completely different over the phone.They should put the signs away if the lunches end at 4pm one day but then at 2pm the next. I just took my food to go, I refused to sit down and eat. Especially after I watched a server talk down to an elderly confused woman that was just trying to enjoy her lunch alone. Always double check the bill, they tend to try & be sneaky about certain charges or prices but when you try to dispute them or ask a question about your own bill they’re the first ones to get defensive, make up some excuse, or lie. I have personally seen this so I know I’m not the only one. My mother and I used to be regulars, we would have our mother daughter dates here but they have completely ruined that for us. So with all that being said I do not recommend this place & would give them 0! stars if I could. NO THANK YOU!

Just ordered a small chicken soup....DELICIOUS...it was fresh flavorful and filling ..customer service a double plus will definitely order from this spot again and recommend

Drinks were Manhattan expensive but large size and taste made up for it. They tried to bury us with food for the money, great value. Tasty fresh food for so little money. I will go back again for the food.

Good place to hang out at night. DJ playing Spanish music. Very pricey. Food is a combination of South American and Caribbean. Only place in woodhaven with a ample space to dance and have fun.

As an ecuadorian i want to support this place but they always switching up prices and the food takes forever to come out. If u want to swap something out in a combo for something else like instead of fries getting maduros you cant cause it’s forbidden they make everything rule. You would think this was run by white americans or something the way everything has a rule.

Went there with my daughter and lady and the food was tremendous. Anthony is a saint. Give him all the tips!!! I will definitely be back with my family when we come back to New York. Thank you ANTHONY!

ceviche and margaritas... yummm Tres leche was amazing. Margaritas are very cheap on happy hr. They are very strong.

Bad service, was my first time coming to this place and the place looks nice, but the service very pathetic 😒 I order mofongo (super cold and it didn't taste fresh), I also order salchipapa (French fries cold), the unique thing that was not bad, was the mango juice. I had to stand up and walk to the employees and ask when they were gonna take my order, I did that 2 times. I went with a big group of people (12 people) and when they were serving the food they were asking for who was the food instead of knowing the seat numbers, no professional at all.

I went to this place to get some food for lunch. And the food don’t look good and also don’t taste good … I also came in the night to the bar . And they didn’t have enough drinks I just spend 5 minutes inside because it don’t look good… the tables don’t have any style, the place small and full of woman’s working. No really I don’t recomend this place

I came here a few years ago pre-covid and remembered the food and drinks were delicious and the service was good. Finally came back with 1 of my best friends today, and everything is awesome!

Food was pretty good. Service was just ok. Server seemed angry for some reason. The atmosphere was quaint and relaxed.

I went here with my husband the first time it was good. But them I go the second time with my family to celebrate mother day and that was the worst decisión. The worst service the girls very rude and one of them talk in the bad way to my husband. The food wasn't good I didn't get what I ask for. I don't recomend this place . Today I just saw all the negative reviews and all of them is true. I wish I read the reviews before and go to this place. The only good person in this place is a guy that work there. He really do his best.... but I will not come back here and I dont recomend this place.

Food is so good and nearly everything is perfect. The waiting time to get your food is soo long. About an hour and a half for just two simple dishes. If it was just a bit faster than could come here often.

I used to go on Saturday nights because of the music and the drinks, but then the drinks went up and the music got so bad. There should be a variety of music but they stick to Vallenato and Salsa, and it gets boring after a while… and the drink, it got so expensive for one cup full of ice and juice with barely any alcohol. Not to mention that the dance floor is sooo full. They should start taking reservations because it is so full it’s impossible to dance. Last time, I kept bumping into everyone because it was SO crowded and people give you bad looks because they think you are bumping into them for no reason whatsoever. Also, one thing that happened when I went once in a group was that they charged us for something we didn’t even drink, a cubetazo, I hope it was a mistake and that they didn’t think we were too drunk to notice that they had put and extra charge in the bill. All in all, I don’t recommend it.

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!! I decided to go to Tropical Restaurant and order me a large seviche. Not only was i surprised with how much they charged but they were extremely cheap with the portion size and the quality of the seviche was absolutely disappointing. I can't believe i was charged $27 for something that looked like it came out of the toilet. I do not recommend this place to anyone and the quality of their food is questionable and definitely not worth the risk. Good luck to you all and have a blessed Thanksgiving with your loved ones.

I went by myself and the waiter was so rude and giving me attitude, he couldn’t even take my order right and didn’t even bring the main dish I order, the food wasn’t the best and they took a very long time to bring the food out. In general bad service I would not be coming back.
