No biking allowed. So avoid bringing bikes here. Pretty good trail for walking.

Love this hidden gem. It’s part of the alley pond park property but it’s not inside the main alley pond park. It’s a bit further drive for a few more minutes. It is beautiful 🀩

A neighborhood gem, nestled a few blocks off Northern Blvd. A half mile walk around the scenic lake, teeming with urban wildlife, does wonders. There are seats on the waking path and cute little areas off the main walkway. A more "wild" path that follows the wooded area of the LIE can be found across the street from the park.

Beautiful kettlehole pond with a nice flat walking path around it. Amazing natural area created by the melting chunks of ice left behind by the departure of the great ice sheets over 10,000 years ago. Oakland Lake got a nice shout-out in "What if?" by Randall Munroe. 😊

This is my absolute favorite neighborhood park to go for either an early morning or evening stroll. Very calm, serene, relaxing atmosphere. Certainly a hidden Gem. Check out the beautiful pictures.

The park is pleasant, although I believe it could benefit from improved maintenance. Our visit in January may have contributed to its less-than-optimal cleanliness. Nonetheless, the children thoroughly enjoyed observing ducks and swans, with the swans proving to be a noteworthy highlight. A leisurely 30-minute stroll around the park makes for a delightful activity.

Good place to walk on all season. the only reason I gave 4 stars is that the water in the pond smells sometimes depending on the season you visit the place

From NYC parks website: Located in the northeast corner of Queens between the neighborhoods of Bayside and Oakland Gardens, Oakland Lake is a 15,000-year-old spring-fed glacial kettle pond located in Alley Pond Park. Amazing! Beautiful beautiful place to walk calmly. Feels out of time
